Detached house with fantastic sea views, arranged with families in mind.

Crab Cottage is the perfect venue for a family beach holiday in Sheringham.

Located on a quiet road in East Sheringham, it’s a three-minute walk to the beach, and a mere five minutes to Sheringham town centre – known for its old-fashioned seaside atmosphere and thriving independent shops, encompassing everything from traditional sweet shops to fish’n’chips, penny arcades, cafés, and even a working steam railway!

Crab Cottage has recently been redecorated, and we’ve done our best to think of everything you could wish for on your family holiday.

There is a small, enclosed garden at the back of the house with excellent sea views (and it’s sheltered – perfect for barbecues!), off-street parking for two cars, an open-plan living/dining area, and a separate kitchen. There’s even a gas fire and a few board games, making this a great choice for cosy winter breaks as well as summer holidays.

About Mark Cloutman

We first went on holiday to Sheringham with our four children in 1994 and loved its unspoiled character. We bought a holiday home there in 2005 and the opportunity to purchase Queen Mary House followed in 2007 and then Crab Cottage in 2015. We were knocked out by the position looking directly out to sea - as are all of the visitors to Seacliff. We love visiting Sheringham and the nearby coastline with opportunities to mess about in boats and then come "home" to all the facilities in Sheringham and the friends that we have made locally.

We are always available to contact during your stay and have local help to cover most situations.

Great Place to stay

The Location was great, a 2 minute walk from the town centre and the cottage was very spacious and comfortable, the cooker was a bit dated but to be honest there were so many lovely little places to go out and eat we only made breakfast in the cottage. I asked for a slightly later checkout as it was pouring of rain and my mums train wasn't until lunchtime, Mark the owner was very accommodating which was much appreciated. I have stayed at a few cottages in Norfolk and I would definitely return to Crab Cottage

We love Sheringham have stayed there several times, the house was nice but very dated cooking facilities not very good, we loved where it was situated, overall we had a good time.

Well situated house close to beachieve and town centre , well equipped for self catering

Brill location ideal for beach and town with pubs, restaurants, chippies, tea rooms and ice cream parlours aswell as market and souvenir shops. Easy reach of Cromer either a good walk along coast path and / or beach, train is cheap and a one way taxi back about £9 or £10, but there is not really any need to leave Sheringham with all it as to offer as a good old fashioned English seaside resort that as managed to strike a balance with the 21st century and its past. Which is not least emphasised by the fact that the heritage railway with steam trains and the service line to Norwich are only separated by a car park.
