excellent property great place to stay in the lakes
About the Owner
We bought the cottage in August 2014 and have fully renovated and refurbished it to create this lovely holiday home. We live only a few miles away but still love to stay at the cottage ourselves, we hope you will enjoy it as much as we do. Now the cottage is finished we can spend our weekends walking in the fells or canoeing on Coniston Water again.

Spring Gardens Grizebeck
Lovely cottage ,comfortable, cosy and everything we needed. Good customer service places we visited were easily accessible.
Lovely cosy cottage in Grizebeck!
The cottage was lovely and cosy with all amenities. It was in a beautiful location with easy access to the rest of the Lake district. The owner left us some delicious flapjacks and a bottle of wine which was much appreciated! The pub across the road was also handy for meals and drinks - the locals were very friendly. I would recommend the cottage to friends and family.
Hideaway in the Lakes
A wonderful cottage in a great location. Beautifully restored with every home comfort and great attention to detail. We felt at home the moment we walked through the door...absolutely loved it.
Gem of a cottage!
Cottage was very clean and was well equipped, including DVDs, books, logs for the fire, kitchen equipment, etc. We had no complaints at all. We were even left some yummy home made chocolate cake!
Located in a quiet little village, neighbours friendly and the local pub serves great food.
I'm sure we will visit again.
Lovely renovated cottage
The cottage has been renovated to a high standard and was clean and welcoming on arrival. We found this to be a quiet but excellent location for exploring the southern lakes and surrounding coastal areas, with plenty of walks to tackle from the cottage. The wine, cake and milk on arrival were much appreciated. We would definitely consider returning to this place and would not hesitate in recommending it to friends and family.
From the Owner
“This is the real Cumbria, becks and rivers winding down to the estuary and out to the open sea, Fells with open access and views of the stunning mountains behind. On the edge of the national park, it is away from the busy tourist hot spots of the Lake District, yet just a short drive from them. This makes it an ideal base to explore the Cumbrian coastline and the south lakes. The west coast of Cumbria has been described as the ‘un spoiled’ area of the lake district and there are many walks with beautiful views right from the cottage. This area has been a favourite of ours for many years. there are several road cycle and off road cycle routes in the area, I haven't tried them out myself but after doing this bit of research, I am inspired to dust down the bike, oil the chain and have a go myself.”
