House in Vilamoura, Central Algarve, Portugal - Quiet Location Close To Golf Courses And A Short Drive From The Main Town

The largest home in the Olivos Del Golfe complex, our home boasts a large games rooms with professional grade pool and air hockey tables in addition to access to a fantastic pool and children's play area.

The ground floor has a kitchen, bathroom, huge open plan living area, leading to the barbeque terrace and on to the pools and gardens.

The lower ground floor has a large family room with a single and a king size bed next to the games room There is also a toilet/shower room.

The first floor has 2 double bedrooms, both en-suite, and views over the pools or the golf course.

There is a further large bedroom suitable for three in the attic. This room has a west facing sun terrace. The stairs to this room are steep and it's not suitable for young children or elderly guests, but ideal for teenagers with 2 single beds (and an extra inflatable double bed), it also has a roof terrace with table and four chairs and two sunbeds.

Notes on accommodation: This property has just been launched and is just on the market. Situated in a family friendly condominium with a fantastic pool and child's play area, this large town-house is ideal for holidays. The lower ground floor has a large family room with a single and a king size bed next to the games room that has a pool table and air hockey table. There is also a toilet/shower room. The ground floor holds the living room, toilet/shower and kitchen. This location is only a 5 minute drive from the marina. Lower Ground Floor: Bedroom with King Size and Single beds, Games room, Toilet Shower. Ground Floor: Living room with large TV and DVD player, Kitchen with hob, oven fridge/freezer and dining table. Washing machine and drying area. Door off living room to patio area, gardens, play area and pools. First floor has 2 bedrooms. Main bedroom has double bed, en suite bathroom and balcony overlooking the pool. Second bedroom has a king size bed and en-suite shower/toilet. The attic has 2 single beds Outside: There is a patio area with a large table and chairs and a barbecue. This leads on to the gardens and the pool area. There is also a children's pool and a play area. The complex is enclosed and is very secure. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and towels are provided and changed once a week. Other: There is a games room in the lower ground floor with a pool table and a air hockey table.

Couldn't ask for more from a holiday rental.

Wanting/needing a break from the chilling Scottish winter weather, a local recommendation and a search of OwnersDirect led us to book a week at this beautifully appointed (as we found) town house


30 minutes from Faro in a hire car, the property was easily found on reaching Vilamoura. On entry, passing the kitchen and toilet, we found the comfortable living area was impressive with two sofas. Patio doors and shutters led to the patio with barbecue facilities, dining table and chairs. Perfect for a leisurely breakfast we found. The patio overlooks the gardens and communal swimming pool. There are also several sun loungers available on the patio.

The kitchen has all the amenities required; gas cooker,microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine, breakfast/dining table, cutlery and crockery (mugs, plates, etc.). there is also a drying area just off the kitchen. There is also a toilet/shower on this level.

On the first level above there are two double bedrooms, both with ensuite facilities and plenty of wardrobe space. One of the bedrooms has a jacuzzi bath with shower and bidet. This room also has a balcony overlooking the gardens and pool.

On the next level up there is a metal staircase (not really suitable for older guests but I made it for a look) leading to another large bedroom with two single beds and an inflatable double bed.This room also has a balcony/patio with spectacular views and adequate seating. I would think that this room is most suitable for younger guests.

The lower level from the living area can be used either for storage or another sleeping area or car parking if required.

The house is in a peaceful area close to several high quality golf courses only minutes away. Vilamoura marina with all its bars and restaurants is only minutes drive or taxi ride away.

So if you want a peaceful break with a sporting potential and a variety of quality restaurants and bars this townhouse has all the potential that you require.

I can't find fault with this property and can happily recommend it to friends and those searching on OwnersDirect.

We can't wait to get back.

A very spacious, clean and well equiped property

4 adults and 3 kids (15, 14 & 13) had plenty of space in this property. We used the large patio area and charcoal BBQ a lot. Pool was very clean and very quiet most of the time but even when people returned from the beach it never felt crammed. Just a few steps back to the apartment from the pool so the kids loved the freedom of being able to help themselves from anything in the kitchen/fridge. 10 min easy drive into Vilamoura Marina with loads of good quality restaurants. Driving into the Marina centre can get very busy so we parked in the free beach car parks which are only a 10 min stroll away. Would thoroughly recommend this property and the location. Great golf courses as well :) My favourite was the Old Course which is only a 2 min drive!

The only reason I couldn't give it 5 stars were for some small niggles within the property e.g. most of the balls missing from the pool table, the air hockey not working, no air con in the basement bedroom (did provide a fan though), one of the drawer fronts in a wardrobe removed and left to one side.

A wonderful place for a relaxing holiday

We spent a week in Vilamoura and it was far too short. The pool is literally right next to the property. The property itself was very well maintained with air conditioning, a cooker, a large fridge a washing machine, large television and even a barbecue. One of the most pleasant properties we have stayed in.

The location is slightly outside Vilamoura (about a 45 minute brisk walk or a 7 Euro taxi ride) so is quieter yet close enough to allow us to enjoy the night life when we wanted. The large pool is all one depth (it was about shoulder height on me with clear well filtered water) but there is also a smaller children's pool available.

Spacious well equipped family house

7 of us stayed in this lovely property for a week. The house is well maintained and equipped with all the additional extras that made a difference to our family holiday. The spacious layout( both inside and out), 4 bathrooms and generously equipped kitchen made it easy living for the 3 generations of us. The communal pool and play area were immaculately kept with the facilities and landscaping well thought through. The fact that the main terrace in the house led out directly to the pool & play area was a huge benefit.The owner responded promptly to all enquiries we had & provided good friendly customer service. We visited the beach and Marina at Vilamoura, which is approx 10 minutes drive away. There is a cycle path all the way to the marina too. There are many bars & restaurants there. A visit to a water park "slide and splash" ( approx30 minutes drive away) was great fun but be the queues were long. The nearby pretty town of Loule has a daily indoor food market, great for fresh fish. Lots of great golf courses only minutes away. We would recommend the property. The meet and greet on arrival and the departure could have been smoother and would be the only area for improvement.

Vilamoura has access to 2 beaches that are about a 10 minute drive. Tivoli and Felisia. Both are very clean, safe and well maintained.


Vilamoura is serviced from Faro airport that is a 30 minute drive. Although you can get about by bus and taxi, a car is recommended. There are many smaller villages close by that are worth visiting.


Vilamoura nearest neighbour is Quarteria. This is very Portuguese with another fantastic beach and local shops. Albufeira is a 20 minute drive and the old town is gorgeous.

Further Details:

The Portuguese cuisine is excellent with many good restaurants around the marina. We find though that some of the best restaurants are further out of town. A information guide is provided with loads of ideas.
