Holiday Home in La Rabita, Costa Tropical, Spain - located 7 minutes drive to the beach and 10 minutes drive to the mountains

Easy access and central for all amenities. Your accomodation comprises of

3 spacious Twin rooms with tiled floors and ceiling fans, fitted kitchen with Microwave, oven and hob, fully tiled Shower Room, Living Room with tiled floor, ceiling fan, Seating and a double Sofa Bed.T.V with dvd player, Wood burner. cental location for Road biking, Mountain Biking, Motorbike touring, Hiking, local bus route. Secluded garden and Swimming pool. ceiling fans to cool summer Days, Wood burner to warm chillier winter nights.outside dining Area with Barbeque. 320 Days minimum Sun annually due to our micro-climate. Turn left to the beach or right to the mountains. Andalusia is traditional Spain at its best and all accessable from our Cortijo. Local beaches are quiet and sheltered with bars and Restaurants serving traditional Mediteranean cuisine. Never buy lunch as this part of Spain still serves Tapas with each Beer (cerveza) you buy. Enjoy a coffee on the seafront watching the World go by for 1euro. Head off into the Alpujarras for some of the most spectacular scenery and find White villages selling local produce. There are local Road biking routes and up higher for the daring Mountain biking areas. Lots of hiking routes around for those who like to take the time to absorb nature. Drive approx 1hr over mountains to Lanjaron the spa town where pure spring water is bottled and sold in Spain is produced. Orgiva is the same distance and here you will find lots of organic produce. Pampaneira rests just above Orgiva and has lovely Restaurants and Bars along its cobbled streets with amazing mountain views. Follow the Coast Road to Beach resorts with a handfull of People on the sand. Calahonda is 1/2 hrs drive and has Beach Bars along its wide sandy promenade.Spend a Day in Granada to see the Alhambra Palace or to shop. Where else do you know that you can Ski in the Morning between Nov-Feb then have Lunch on a Beach.

Almerimar is 40mins Drive and has lots of Restaurants and Bars set around the Marina and souvenir shops to browse .

Roquettes 50mins drive has a Plaza with various shops if a Day of retail therapy is needed.

About the Owner

We (Kay and Steve) were looking for a away from it all Property with ammenities nearby. After searching many locations in Andalusia we stumbled upon Haza Mora .Within 2 months we had moved in at Cortijo Serendipia and started our new life. We do commute back and forwards to the Uk to visit Family and Friends, but for the main we are on site to help with any problems that rarely arise.

This part of Spain is very tranquil and the Local people cannot do enough to make Your stay more welcoming. We look forward to meeting You all and letting you in on this as yet unfound part of Spain. Kay ad Steve.

As a Single Female I needed to know that my acccomodation would be secure. After speaking to kay by telephone and being reassured that it would be I booked a Weeks break. On my arrival i immediately felt at ease, Kay walked me around the apartment and i was surprised at the space and all of the Information on local ammenities. I used my Week relaxing around the Pool which is kept very clean and used the local bus to go into La Rabita and Albunol. I was sad to leave and will be back as soon as i can, thankyou Kay for your warm welcome and help at all times. Patricia

Great base from which to explore

We had a lovely week staying in this corjito. Owners were staying on site and were around daily to clean the pool and maintain the lovely garden area. Beaches nearby were quiet and clean. Situated above a busy road, and after having spent a week in the very secluded and peaceful mountains, it was noisier than expected. The owners were helpful and friendly. From the house you can easily access many lovely white villages,including Pampeneira and Frigiliana near Nerja. A super base to explore from.

Ideal spot for a great family holiday!

The house is comfortable and well equipped. The pool was the star of the show for us. Kay was welcoming and helpful including laying in our groceries. She was available to offer advice on the local area for example. Great access to coastal villages. A trip into the Alpuharras is also recommended and is easy to drive. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and will certainly consider returning.

Great location

We had a really enjoyable long weekend here in July. The cortijo was clean and tidy and had a fabulous pool area which was completely secluded. The accommodation is in a lovely rural setting which is perfect for exploring lots of traditional Spanish villages. You definitely need a car to make the most of your holiday but this is made clear in the description on the Owners Direct website.

The owners were very helpful and they will even arrange for groceries to be delivered ready for your arrival. They were very knowledgeable of the local area and gave us some great recommendations for places and restaurants to visit.

Thank you Steve and Kay for such an enjoyable stay.

Clean, comfortable and well appointed in a great area.

What a wonderful place for a holiday. Clean, comfortable accommodation, great pool and in a part of Spain as yet untouched by mass tourism so you get a real taste of Spain. The locals are friendly and helpful and the Tapas very tasty!!

Bars, restaurants, supermarket, banks etc. 10 minutes away in Albunol, beach, bars and restaurants 10 minutes the other way in La Rabita.

Kay and Steve were on hand to help out if necessary and gave us some great tips on local restaurants etc. although apart from the pool and Sunbeds magically being cleaned and tidied ready and waiting the next morning you wouldn't know they were there unless you need them!

We're already looking at when we can go back!!

Lovely rural holiday home

We spent a couple of nights at this lovely rural holiday let when en route to Almeria from Malaga. It was very well equipped with everything you could need and it had a beautiful rural setting with mountains all around. The pool area was fantastic and we really took advantage of it, due to the heat. Our hosts were very welcoming and we enjoyed spending time with them. With no light pollution at all, the stars had to be seen to be believed. If you are looking for an out of the way rural retreat, we would thoroughly recommend it. We are looking forward to an opportunity to visit again.

A lovely location in rural Spain

A lovely way to see the real Spain.

The Cortijo was clean and tidy on our arrival, and the secluded pool was just the place to cool off. Excellent shower with decent water pressure. The friendly owners were able to suggest some wonderful places to visit and eat! The Cortijo was accurately described on the owners direct site.

The Restaurante El Penon at Salobrena was fantastic, just don't watch the locals diving from the rocks if you're of a nervous disposition. The Ruta del Mulhacen in Pampaneria also served lovely local food and had a stunning view.

I would recommend a stay providing you either have a car or are a very keen cyclist.
