About the property

Solva - 5 minutes from the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path

Set on the top floor of historic Llanunwas House our modern, light but cosy apartment has a stunning view directly over the wide panorama of St Brides Bay to the islands of Skomer and Skokholm.

Llanunwas is a historic mansion in a country landscape; as you leave the road at Upper Solva and drive into the woods, you will appreciate you are somewhere special. Enjoy two acres of lawns and gardens with a mix of sunny and shaded areas – ideal for sitting and relaxing, or for children to explore.

Nearby is Britain’s smallest city, St Davids, home of the magnificent cathedral, National Park Visitor Centre, speciality shops and restaurants. Surprisingly, in contrast to its tranquillity, St Davids is also the place to start an adventure - book fast boat trips to the islands, coasteer or kayak around the coves or learn to surf at Whitesands Bay.

Accommodation

Skomer View sleeps 4 in one double and one twin bedroom. The bathroom has a bath with shower over, wash basin and toilet.

The lounge is an ideal place to relax and look out over the sea and the islands. It is light and airy in summer and warm and cosy in winter and has a flat screen television with Freeview satellite channels, DVD player and free Wi-Fi.

The kitchen diner has a full range of modern appliances, including hob, grill and oven, fridge freezer, washing machine/dryer and microwave.

Outside

Attractive lawns surround the house, with plenty of space for outdoor activities. Secure storage provides a home for our deckchairs and picnic furniture, with room for cycles or fishing rods. There is parking immediately next to the house.

Beautiful Apartment in Perfect Location

  • 5 of 5

Our family had a wonderful holiday in this clean, well maintained and comfortable apartment that contains every appliance one could reasonably wish for, including a fully stocked kitchen with fridge/ freezer, washer/dryer, wifi, TV/DVD, phone, good heating and comfortable beds to name a few.

Solva is a lovely picturesque village, and the surrounding countryside and costal walks are simply magnificent. The apartment is just a few minutes walk from the nearest coastal path.

The service and instruction provided by Phil was very efficient from start to finish - in short, we would highly recommend Skomer Veiw to anyone looking for a pleasant holiday in the countryside.

It was hard to say goodbye to Skomer Veiw as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, which was far too short, but we are looking forward to returning again. Thank you, Phil, for such an enjoyable break.

A very well presented apartment with comprehensive instructions from owners who have gone to great lengths to make their offering a cut above most others. A great base in an ideal location for exploring the region. A lovely clean and comfortable home from home. Highly recommended.

My husband & I stayed here over the new year period & couldn't have chosen a better apartment. It's decorated to a high standard & has everything you need.

Whilst there it was very cold weather but the apartment was warm & cosy. The view is stunning & the coastal path couldn't be nearer, spent many hours walking it. So much to see in the area. Would love to think we could find the time to stay there again. Thank you once again Phil for the use of your beautiful apartment, you must be very proud of it. I know you were decorating the week after we were there but quite honestly it was so clean &well maintained that I was quite surprised you were doing it!!! Thanks Paul & Sue

This was my 4th visit to this apartment its fab got everything that you need, very peaceful and will be going back. Lovely views and very close to the coastal path - we walked to Solva on the Saturday and then followed the coastal path up the other side. On the Sunday we walked to St Davids and as recommended by someone in the visitors book had Sunday lunch in the Bishops - very recommended

Home-from-Home experience!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great holiday in this warm, well equipped apartment. The location makes it ideal to use as a base from which to explore Pembrokeshire. The apartment block has easy access to the coastal path, which we walked on most days.

The apartment has all the necessary features required to allow a stress-free stay. An added bonus is the wi-fi connection. It is as described within this web-description.

The owner, Phil, provides a quick and efficient service and is only too happy to provide help and advise if asked.

We left with a heavy-heart but came home with 'batteries' recharged.

All the best Phil and Lesley and good luck for the future.
