PROPERTY DESCRIPTION

This is a top floor flat in a very attractive estate in the town of Penicuik, close to Edinburgh. There are regular buses into the city every 10 minutes and the journey usually takes about 30 minutes.

There are also night buses 7 days a week.

The Scottish borders are also easily accessible and there is a regular bus service to this area too.

ACCOMODATION

Bedroom 1 has a “Scottish” double bed and an en suite shower room.

Bedroom 2 has twin beds ( travelling cot is also available)

Bathroom 2 has bath, wash basin and toilet.

Dining room has a table which seats six plus high chair

Sitting Room is a large room with bay window. It has comfortable seating for 8 ,TV, DVD and CD and Internet connection.There is also a wide selection of books ,board games and toys.

Kitchen has a breakfast bar and is very well equipped with oven,hob,fridge,freezer,washing machine /dryer and microwave.

CLEANING/TOWELS/LINEN/MAID SERVICE

All towels and linen provided and the property is cleaned at the start of your stay.

AMENITIES/FACILITIES

Parking in a designated bay at back and ample parking at front. There is also a children's play park on the estate.

ACCESSABILITY

2 flights of stairs. There is no lift.

ABOUT THE AREA

Golf .There are several golf courses locally which are open to visitors.

Skiing. Hillend dry ski slope,which is the largest in Europe, is a 10 minute journey away.

Rosslyn Chapel is also close by.

Walking and Cycling. The close proximity of the Pentland Hills offers excellent hill walking. There are also several off road cycle paths and walkways which are directly accessible from the apartment.

FURTHER DETAILS

There are a wide range of pubs,restaurants,cafes,local shops and supermarkets within walking distance of the apartment.

There is also a new Leisure Centre with swimming pool, and a large public park with play park and skate park.

A “Soft Play Centre” is situated 5 minutes walk from the apartment.

Brilliant!

Beautiful and clean house with many amenities. Perfect for those who have cars, reasonable distance from the city centre.

Jean was very helpful, she is such a lovely and kind lady, we got thrashed in Edinburgh on a Friday night and was late to check out on the next day, she was kind enough to make it flexible. Highly recommended.

A home from home!

A delightful flat - immaculate, yet welcoming - in a quiet location within easy reach of Edinburgh. No wifi, but no bad thing at all. Plenty of local information. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it to others.

Comfortable and welcoming.

This apartment surpassed our expectations! We received a warm welcome along with the keys from the friendly owner, who made sure that we were aware of local facilities including bus services for our visit to Edinburgh.

The apartment is situated on a pleasant wood-fringed estate, and was very quiet. A short walk took us into the centre of the town, the shops and the bus-stops.

There was everything we could possibly need, and everything was spotless. The furnishings made us feel that we were staying at a friend's house! We were very comfortable, warm despite the chilly weather, and had a most enjoyable stay. (Our Dutch friends were most impressed.) There were plenty of books and games, for all ages.

We would definitely recommend this apartment to our friends, and hope to visit it again ourselves, perhaps to do some walking in the lovely surrounding hills.

Quiet, Safe Location

The flat was very nice; clean and in a very safe location. I enjoyed the close proximity to Roslin and the Roslin Glen and walking trails were everywhere near the flat. All mod cons were included in the apartment and the walls lined with many interesting books! Jean was wonderful to work with and made sure that her guests have plenty of bath linens and a comfortable bed in the main bedroom. The bathrooms were nicely sized and included some nice bath amenities. The supermarket was also close by and there were several great restaurants nearby as well. Additionally, there was ample parking for guests that was particularly helpful as well. I would highly recommend this flat and would stay there again.
