Sauna followed by a shower and then dinner on our patio. How about that !

We are only 5 minutes from the centre of the village (beautiful views down to the Mediterranean) with a creperie, cafe and restaurant, all within an easy walking distance.
In the village there is a swimming pool with a life guard opened every day from the 1st of July to the end of August which is free of charge.
I must mention, only 5 minutes in the car you can visit the 'Gorges de la Fou', not only is it very beautiful but it is extremely cool. An ideal place to visit on a boiling hot day. It may be advisable to bring a jumper. One can buy coffee or tea near the entrance.
On Saterday morning there is Céret market which is very popular with the English. It is like going back more than 50 years ago before the supermarkets arrived. The smell of grilled chicken and the aromatic spices, the breads and the cheeses. This is very special to La France.
I am a forester from Oxfordshire and my wife, Corinne, comes from Paris and has studied a forestry degree in North Wales. We have three children, James, Zacharie and Bethsabee. We are all bilingual French/English. The children go to school in Arles-sur-Tech.
We bought this plot of land in a small mountain village perched above the Mediterranean Pyrenees in 2005 and built the house here shortly after.
We have a German Shepherd and six Shetland Ponies, who we graze around the village.
Watts purchased this house in 2005
We fell in love with Corsavy, a beautiful historic village and the magnificent views of the mountains and the sea in the distance.
So we decided to build a modern house with large picture windows to give us the maximum sunlight and to benefit the beautiful views.
Clear pollution free air, peaceful mountain views, a French village holiday as it was 50 years ago: little traffic, peace and tranquility and yet easy access to amenities.
We are also within easy reach of several airports: Perpignan; Girona: Carcassonne, Beziers, Montpellier, Toulouse and Barcelona.
Tucked away half way up a long and winding a road which eventually takes you to the foothills of The Pyrenees, this is a perfect family cottage within a picturesque and peaceful authentic French village with possibly the world's best crepes a five minute stroll away. Half an hour's drive to the north takes you to a car park around the height of Ben Nevis, and from there a choice of rolling valleys or more adventurous climbs. In the other direction is the artistic town of Serat, boasting an impressive bohemian history, some of which is well presented in its museum of modern art. If you've read this far, you're probably not interested in swathes of Mediterranean beach but you may well enjoy Collioure, with its ancient castles, town beach with a crystal clear bay and seafront bars. We drove to Barcelona for the day, about three hours away, and only scratched the surface of this remarkable part of France with surprisingly strong cultural ties to Catalonia. Finally, Andrew and Corinne were the perfect hosts, providing a lovely welcome, and priceless local knowledge. If all of this sounds great, then you'll be hard pressed to find a better property!
We know this corner of France quite well. It has so much to offer that we keep on coming back. This time we decided to be further up the most southerly valley before the Spanish border, in a little mountain village.
It was a complete delight. The house was very spacious and light, with wonderful views down the valley. It has a communal village swimming pool a couple of minutes walk away for the kids. A lovely little epicerie in the village ... and lots of nice places to visit within an hour's drive - coast and mountain. The perfect mix.
And the hosts were absolutely lovely. Couldn't have been better.
