El Naranjal, Puerto Banus - Surrounded By Beautiful Golf Courses And Some Of The Best Restaurants On The Costa Del Sol

Our villa is nestled in the old Spanish village of El Naranjal in Nueva Andalucia, about 10 minutes drive from the bustling port of Puerto Banus. It is surrounded by a range of high quality restaurants and four of the most prestigious golf clubs in southern Spain, Los Naranjos, Las Brisas, Aloha and La Quinta.

It was one of the very first Spanish Urbanisation built in Nueva Andalucia and still remains typically Spanish to this day, surrounded by Orange trees from where the village gains its name.

The patio has unimpeded views of the mountain, La Concha which provides a superb backdrop to any Alfresco dining or just a day of quiet sunbathing. There is seating for four and a further four chairs in the storage area to the side of the patio.

There is also an Outback BBQ available for use on request, all we ask is that it is cleaned and left as you found it before you leave, you can leave it un-cleaned but that will cost 20Euros.

For the more adventurous, on a cooler day La Concha can be climbed in about four hours and provides views you will never forget. Needless to say you will get down a lot quicker than you got up!

This is the first year we have decided to rent our home to anyone other than close friends, we have done our best to keep the house very much a home and have left a range things for you to enjoy as we do. Children's toys (Mostly boys) and DVD's are there for you to use, together with other DVD's for parents.

You will find a range of books to read and an Xbox 360 with games to play (Yes you can play on-line), for those days when you don't fancy venturing out. All we ask is that if you break or use anything we have chosen to leave, that you replace it. We have done everything we can to make you feel at home from the moment you arrive.

Our pool, which is shared with our neighbours, has recently been rebuilt to an exacting standard and provides a great place to socialise and relax while the children play in their own pool under you constant gaze.

Close by at Aloha Gardens, there is a children;s club that operate most days and can provide a welcome break for any weary parents. Both our sons have played everything from basketball to football under the close supervision provided by Mike and his team.

As I am writing this our tennis court is now being totally refurbished and should be ready to play by the end of June (15), giving you the opportunity for a little exercise should you so wish.

Our house is equipped with broadband, so if you need to do a little work or surfing you won't have to go far and the children won't have to leave their Ipads at home!

Should you be a keen golfer and do not fancy the hassle of bringing your own clubs, we have two sets available for you to hire during your stay. We charge only 50 Euros per set, which is much cheaper than bring your own and a lot less trouble. Both sets are Taylor Made and in great condition, with RAC OS irons, just let us know when you are close to booking and we will arrange for them to be in the house.

On arrival at our home you will find a notice board in the kitchen with a range of useful numbers on plus cards from all the great restaurants we have visited over the years. PS No bad ones make it to the board!

About Andrew and Lynn Metcalf

We have been coming to El Naranjal since 1983 and finally bought our home in 2000, and have spent many months there since.

Eventually we hope to retire to this lovely village with ours sons, should they wish to come.

It's location has been a pleasure, close to some fantastic restaurants which we can tell you about if you wish. With some beaches that would make the Bahamas jealous not that far away.

Notes on accommodation: Our house sleeps four in great comfort, the master bedroom has a Super King sized bed while the second bedroom has two single beds. The lounge, kitchen and dining room are downstairs with the bedrooms and bathrooms being on the second floor. Outside: Being part of an urbanisation our village has the benefit of being in lovely tended gardens with quiet little private squares where the orange trees grow. Our patio has a dining table and four chairs together with two sun loungers. Our shared swimming pool is about 100 yards from our door and has ample sunbeds and washing facilities with WC. It is gated and easy to keep an eye on the young ones. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Clean bedding and towels are provided for you on arrival, the house will already have been cleaned prior to you arriving.

This is a Magical experience! Andy (the owner) couldn't do more to make my stay more fabulous he will help with car hire and local restaurants the rental is set in a wonderful Spanish street, my only reservation is letting you know about this experience! Fabulous!

This is how to Relax

We loved this vacation property. We stayed here years ago when we were in Spain for a friend's wedding. It was just the two of us then. Recently we went back with the kids and the experience did not disappoint. The home is spotless and carefully decorated. The up keep around the property and the pools was first class. We played in the pool and had lovely barbeques. The local people were so welcoming. Our children thought they remembered us from the last time we were there. Our youngest asked us once we were home

Our little house in the sun.

This beautiful place really made our holiday Andalucia.

Our first impressions when we arrived was of how lovely and tranquil the location was we loved stepping in through the door and immediately feeling at home. The house is really welcoming with everything we needed, a spacious lounge and a well equipped kitchen. Everywhere was really clean and maintained to a high standard with the bathroom been the star of the show. We spent a lot of time sunbathing on the lovely private terrace and didn’t go down to the pool much but what I saw was really nice.

The surrounding area has loads of restaurants, bars and mini marts we where spoilt for choice but a car is essential.

There is always a little apprehension when arriving somewhere for the first time but rest-assured when you walk through the door this is everything you wished for so relax and book.

We loved our week in the little house in the sun and would book again if we visited the area again.

Such a wonderful holiday!

Where do I start?! Thank you for such a fantastic family holiday, we couldn't have asked for nicer accommodation and location! On arrival we were amazed at the look of the villa, picture perfect is how I described it to my hubbie! It was an even nicer surprise when we opened the door. The kids immediately felt at home. There was plenty of room for our family of four and it was especially nice sitting on the patio, sipping a cool glass of G n T or two! It was fab for sunbathing too on the patio, plenty of space for us all. The communal pool was spot on, perfect for the kids to spend most of the day in!

There were plenty of restaurants in the area, great food and atmosphere in the restaurants we ate at. It was also lovely to have some quiet nights in, BBQ on and vino in hand as the kids relaxed inside. We have some very special memories from our holiday and we couldn't have asked for anything better. My parents have booked up for later in the year on our recommendation and I know they will have a perfect time just like us. Thank you again for a fab holiday and we'll definitely be booking up for next year...if not before then!

A true home from home in paradise - fantastic

My wife and I along with our children aged 3 and 6 visited this beautiful townhouse in August 2014. The house is located in a beautiful development which is maintained to a very high standard by the grounds staff. Located far enough from the pool to be peaceful and tranquil whilst close enough to be there in under a minute if you need to cool off. The pool area itself is spacious and has plenty of beds and again, beautifully maintained.

It is useful to have a car whilst visiting and here and there are supermarkets, bars, restaurants and many golf courses just a three minute drive away. Also you can be in Puerto Banus in under ten minutes.

The house itself really feels like a home from home. As I travel extensively through work the last thing I wanted on holiday was a sterile bland hotel room or apartment. This house has all the luxury of a five start hotel but with home touches such as DVD's, Books, cd's etc. I was at home from the second I entered.

We cant wait for our next visit.

It takes eight minutes by car to reach the beaches in Puerto Banus, 4km away, however there are literally hundreds within 20 minutes, all offering fantastic views and magnificent beaches


The closest airport to our home is Malaga, a distance of about 50 kilometres taking some 40 minutes to drive. Car hire or use of a car is recommended but not essential as there is plentiful public transport and taxis available. The car park at the house is about 50 metres away. If required we can provide the name of a reliable car hire company who will collect you from the airport, we have used this company for 15 years.


Aloha Gardens situated 2.2 kilometres from home boast a range of fantastic restaurants and bars including The Living Room, El Jardin, Bolly Wood and Tuk Tuk for great fusion food.

A little further towards the port (3.9 km from) you will find the famous La Sala Restaurant, owned by the ex England footballer David Bentley, a great place to visit and eat.

Finally you arrive at the Port itself, where people, boat watching, and dining is a must 4.9km from home.

Further Details:

you will find local shops, a bank and a supermarket at Aloha Gardens some 2.2km from the house, a little further afield you will find an Iceland and Mercadona Supermarkets.

Changeover Day:
Changeover days are flexible, the house will be available from 3 pm on the day of arrival and should be vacated by 11 am on the day of departure.

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 7 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.
