About the Owner

After several holidays in France we decided in 1970 that we once should buy a house there and should going to live there. In 1990 - after many searches - we found the property Les Garosses in Roquecor, Tarn-et-Garonne and bought it two years later. Les Garosses is close to the nice village of Roquecor (200m); the houses and barn were in a good condition. Next to that the property has beautiful old trees, and a wonderful view over the countryside. Till 1999 we used it as a secondary home. The cottage was let for holiday purposes. Since 1999 we live there permanently. Since then a lot has been changed; the grass around the main house, the cottage and the barn has been changed into a wonderful garden. The two houses has been renovated completely and can meet every modern standard of comfort.

Fantastic Holiday Location

We were made so welcome by Roel and Els that we felt really at home. The cottage is very well equipped and spotlessly clean and is ideally situated on the edge of a lovely village with a couple of good restaurants. The peace and tranquility were perfect. We have stayed in numerous cottages in various areas of France but this was by far the best. We highly recommend it!

Beautiful Place

This is a beautiful place to stay and we would highly recommend. The cottage has everything you will need and the owners are very welcoming and incredibly helpful. The location is perfect being just a 5 minute walk from the village and facilities are easily 5 out of 5. Sad to leave.

Wonderful stay in the beautiful French countryside

We had a wonderful, restful time in this lovely, clean and well maintained cottage in Roquecor. The property was exactly as pictured and Els and Roel (the owners) who live in the neighbouring property are delightful, warm and friendly. They made our stay very relaxed and were on hand to answer any questions or give local advice. This is 4 stars simply because we did not have instructions to work the cooker, oven, coffee maker and TV - it would be useful to provide a simple overall guide or manual. The manual should include operating instructions and important local information. We would absolutely return to this lovely property (small but perfectly formed) and gorgeous pool and recommend it highly.

After having seen many properties in France we decided to buy one in Tarn-et-Garonne, a lovely and quite region. A property as Les Garosses near to the nice village of Roquecor had our preference. Next to that the friendly population and the nice view over one of the Quercy valleys did us easily come to the decision to buy.
