About the property

Bungalow in Beverley, Yorkshire, England - Sunny Enclosed Garden With Off-road Parking

Unlike other properties, our bungalow "Minster Chimes" is genuinely located close to the centre of the historic market town of Beverley. It is only 5 minutes’ walk to numerous shops, restaurants and public houses. There are good rail and bus links to Hull (City of Culture 2017), York and the Yorkshire coast. No car required!

Sleeps 4 in two double bedrooms with plenty of storage space. The sunny and spacious kitchen diner faces south with an enclosed pleasant garden area and patio with garden furniture. There is a cosy lounge with a gas fire and a spacious bathroom with bath and walk-in shower. Facilities include flat screen TV and DVD, free WiFi, microwave oven, washing machine. A sofa bed in the dining area allows more flexibility in sleeping arrangements.

Free off road parking is available at the front of the property.

Recently Minster Chimes was the temporary home to visitors working on the new Flemingate shopping centre and we received this feedback:

"Hi Julia,

If I could say that Morton Lane accommodation in Beverley was really comfortable and it was a pleasure after a long days work knowing that I was going back to something that was home from home and could unwind very easy. The facilities within the home was second to none and all I had to supply was the food. Everything from clean linen, books to read and TV to watch were all at hand. Lastly the location of the bungalow was very handy as we didn't have our own transport so it was 15minutes walking to and from our workplace, 10minutes walking to the train station and a large Tesco was right across the street. Beverley town centre was also only approximately about minutes away.

I would like to thank Graham and yourself for the comfort of your own home, best of wishes and would look forward to returning one day if we ever get another project in the lovely town of Beverley. Adrian"

About Julia Smith

My husband and I have lived in historic Beverley for over 20 years and we have loved every moment of it. From the rear of the bungalow you will be able to spot the roof of Beverley Minster and it is possible to enjoy the unusual melodic chimes every 15 minutes. I really enjoy wandering around the markets and popping into the small specialist shops. There are numerous superb eating and drinking venues within easy walking distance of Minster Chimes and it is an excellent base to visit the beautiful countryside of the Yorkshire Wolds. We hope you will come and visit and discover Beverley’s hidden gems and share our enjoyment.

Lovely, comfortable home in Beverley

  • 5 of 5

ThIs property was perfect for our needs.

It is so close to lots of great shops and restaurants but was fully equipped if you want to self cater.

The property was spacious and clean and the towels provided were large and fluffy . The owner left us tea, coffee and biscuits and had put fresh flowers in the room. It was very welcoming.

We had no difficulty in parking our large family car outside of the house and will happily return.

Excellent location for visiting Beverley

  • 4 of 5

A nicely situated property near shops and only a ten minute walk to the must see Minster. It was nice not having to drive. Didn’t use the sitting room at all as we preferred to be in the brighter dining room. Pretty little garden but the weather was too cold to sit out. Furniture could do with updating but overall very satisfied with our stay

Absolutely fantastic property

  • 5 of 5

We rented this property for a New Year break. The bungalow is unbelievably spacious and the owner has stocked the property with literally everything you could need for a weekend away. A minutes walk away is a Tesco store and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything needed to prepare a meal. Everything was spotlessly clean and the beds, bedding and towels were of excellent quality. There’s even a pull out double bed, so 6 people could be accommodated if needed. The town of Beverley is less than 5 minutes walk and there are plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants.

We had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend and return if visiting Beverley again.

I can’t sing it’s praises and the hosts praises loudly enough - it was wonderful!

A very comfortable and well equipped bungalow in a very central location

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay in this bungalow which we found to be only a short walk from central Beverley with bus and railway stations, TESCO and ASDA stores near by. We found this bungalow to be clean and homely, with a convenient parking space at the front which could accommodate two small cars with care. We were very warm and comfortable and were able to enjoy the rear garden when the weather allowed. We occasionally dined out, but also prepared meals in the very well equipped kitchen which we then enjoyed while overlooking the garden from the open plan dining area. We visited Bridlington and of course the magnificent Minster and took the bus to Hull. We really enjoyed our holiday and hope to return to Beverley and Minster Chimes again in the not too distant future.

Home from home in loveley market town

  • 4 of 5

Despite initial impression from the front, a very spacious & comfortable base for our few days in Beverley. We had all we needed except perhaps a cafetière. Lovely back garden.

A nice welcome of fresh flowers & chocolate biscuits.

A great central base for a few days exploring Beverley, Wolds & Hull

From the north the A1 links to the M62.

The North Sea Ferries port in Hull provides links with Rotterdam and Zeebrugge.

A car is not essential as the bungalow is within a 10 minute walk of bus and rail stations.
