About the property

Addingham, Nr Ilkley, Yorkshire - Peaceful location surrounded by open farmland

Low Sanfitt Cottage is surrounded by open farmland and enjoys a quiet and peaceful location on the edge of

The Yorkshire Dales National Park. The Cottage was lovingly refurbished in March 2017 and is beautifully furnished to a very high standard. It is chic and stylish, yet still incorporates original character and charm, exposed beams, wood lintels, flagged floor and a fireplace with a multi-fuel stove.

This is a warm and welcoming home from home and is ideally situated for the Yorkshire Dales, Bronte Country and the Vale of York. There are good country walks in the immediate area with open moors and fells just a short drive away. Conveniently situated in a rural setting between Skipton and Ilkley yet minutes from either town.

About Mrs Holly Flather

Our family moved to Low Sanfitt Farm in 2003 and whilst renovating our new home we lived in Low Sanfitt Cottage for a year. The cottage is attached to our farmhouse but enjoys complete privacy. There is a separate cottage garden and two parking places allocated for the Cottage. Once we had moved into our farmhouse we found that the cottage was rarely used. It was in 2005 that let it out for the first time so other people could experience the enjoyment of staying in this cute, cosy cottage for their holidays. In March 2017 we enjoyed upgraded and refurbished the cottage and it is now a chic and stylish haven away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We have welcomed many happy holiday makers including walkers, cyclists, friends, families, honeymooners and more, many who have returned year after year.

Mrs Holly Flather purchased this cottage in 2003

Enjoyed a lovely quiet Christmas at this cosy cottage.

Weather stopped us from walks we had planned.

Dog friendly which is a must for us. The owners

were welcoming and very accommodating

would go again in the summer.

Fabulous

  • 5 of 5

Loved the cottage. The facilities were perfect for our needs. Our two Irish setters enjoyed the garden, orchard and field. Holly and Anthony were delightful and made us welcome. We enjoyed the brownies and and our girls enjoyed the biscuits in the welcome pack!

We would definitely return!

Beautiful, well equipped cottage

  • 4 of 5

Lovely peaceful, well equipped holiday cottage.

The only downside is it's a bit too remote for walking safely with our dog directly from the cottage, but the cottage itself was faultless. A perfect based for visiting the local area and beauty spots and there are plenty of those!

Definitely recommend.

Better than average. Would advise a summer stay as very cold in spite of central heating & burner.

Many plus points in this beautifully restored well-equipped country cottage and overall we really enjoyed our stay. Lovely setting too. Location great for walking.

However, the negatives were:

Downstairs bathroom with badly placed light switches so difficult to negotiate in the middle of the night.

Very cold downstairs, most of the heat from wood burner did not radiate into the room but went up the chimney. So not good in cold weather although the mezzanine was very cosy but no tv there.

Doggy smell in downstairs lounge, particularly rug and sofas, was a bit nauseating. We were out most of the day but sitting in that room in the evening was somewhat unpleasant.

Lovely half term break

  • 5 of 5

This cottage was perfect for our family 2 adults 2 teens 2 hounds

We visited Salts Mill, Harrogate, Ilkely and Skipton and walked Pen y Ghent all very close by.

Holly,Anthony& Edward were very welcoming the fresh brownies Holly brought around were the best ever

Little touches made the stay even better. Logs and coal for the lovely stove and a very well stocked kitchen

Thank you
