Waterside is a unique development of 3 spacious cottages which are close to Alnmouth and Warkworth. They are a place of calm. peace and tranquillity, accessed only by a private driveway down to the waters edge. They are situated by the water with fantastic views of Alnmouth and the coastline. The location has recently been used for the series 'Vera'. The cottages all have mixture of modern and old - the amazing wooden beams in the huge ceiling give them a feeling of space and uniqueness. The properties have all been renovated to a high standard. Church View has been voted as an area of outstanding beauty and this is one of the views from the cottages. South Beach and Alnmouth Beach are both very easily accessed - perfect for picnics and waterboarding. The white sandy dunes are a great place to visit and have fun. About Simone Neri

As a child I spent many wonderful holidays in Alnmouth with my family. When I became a mother I could think of nowhere better to raise my children than here. I now live near Alnmouth with my two children Isabella and Matteo. There is so much to do in the area - we spend most of our time on the beach having bonfires and BBQs . I am an outdoors person and love walking and cycling...& have even tried surfing!

I already have a successful holiday let in Alnmouth called Sefton House (sleeps 14) and have a catering business called Taste Of Northumberland (catering in holiday lets). Waterside is situated across from Alnmouth - it is where my children love to dive down the huge sand dunes head first on boards! I'm sure you will all love being here - it is quite magical!

Simone Neri purchased this cottage in 2015

Why Simone Neri chose Alnmouth

Waterside is such a special area and the views are spectacular in all seasons. The sea and the beaches are gorgeous and this is where I have spent hours and hours with my children and friends. Alnmouthwhich is a 5 minute drive in the car has a lovely grocery store, gift shop, pubs and eating places.

Walking, surfing, fishing, canoeing, sailing, cycling, bird watching and golfing are just some of the pursuits which are on the doorstep.

You do feel that you have stepped back in time to an old fashioned beach holiday and this is where the uniqueness steps in.

The area is very accessible by car or train but you do feel as though the crowds and the city are a million miles away.

fabulous getaway

Have just returned from a 3 night stay at Waterside View near Alnmouth. It was fantastic, we didn't want to come home. The cottage was immaculate, equipped and furnished to a very high standard, really clean and comfortable, couldn't fault anything. We had some lovely meals out in Alnmouth and took a trip to Warkworth which was well worth a visit, also went to Bamburgh castle and walked on the beach near the cottages (Alnmouth dunes but watch the track, its not suitable for small cars!!). All in all a fabulous break, thanks very much Simone x

Gorgeous cottage, great location, great price

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for a 30th birthday celebration and loved it. The cottage is spacious and warm with beautiful decor. The owners are responsive and answered any questions we had and also greeted us at the start of the weekend and showed us how to use the house. The cottage had lovely views of alnmouth and is a short work to the local things and 2 minutes from the railway station. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend here and want to return :)

Fantastic views and Simone is lovely

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this property in November ( sorry for the late review) On arrival Simone met us at the house and went through a few things, We had a few teething issues with the heating and water which got sorted out straight away, in the welcome pack we had a lovely bottle of wine, cheese and crackers and chocolate biscuits and the usual cloths dishwasher tablets etc the only thing missing was extra toilet roll,

The beach with is literally a 5 to 10 mins walk away pending speed. Once you hit the beach you are literally in heaven.

We tried to order a take away one evening but no one delivers in that area so we ordered a curry from the town that was a 5 min drive away and collected it, we also got a cab to the town one evening it was £10 going and £7 coming back!!!

Apart from the beach there isn't much to do in the area so a car is advisable, if like us you just want the peace and quiet and to walk with the dogs on the beach then this place is fantastic. I would like to recommend an outside wash down area for the dogs as the path and field coming back from the beach got muddy it would just make it easier than hand washing them outside before we let them back in to the house. Over all this is a gorgeous, well maintained property and we will defiantly be returning

Thank you for a lovely stay and the dogs say a big woof woof

Attractive cottage with tasteful furnishings & plenty of space.

  • 4 of 5

We booked the cottage for a weekend stay. It was a lovely, peaceful location with easy access to the beach and facilities at Alnmouth. The cottage was very clean & well equipped. The owner was friendly and gave lots of helpful information about walks and places to eat.

A Lovely Quiet Stay Close to the Sea.

  • 5 of 5

From the initial contact with Simone, everything about this place was comfortable and easy. Booking arrangements, local information and handing over the keys, etc was all very straightforward and helpful. The cottage is just off a farm track and, with only a few neighbours, it has a real sense of freedom and place. If a sea view is important to you I would choose to stay in Estuary View or Beach View as you can't quite see the water from this property. The cottage is warm, comfortable and well maintained. It offers everything you need for an easy and hassle free stay and its open layout is great for cooking, eating and socialising together. Soft, comfy beds and sofas add to the feeling of home away from home.

The cottage is perhaps a twenty minute walk from Alnmouth along a safe and easy path/cycle path and the wonderful beach is accessible in just a matter of minutes. The area provides lots of interesting options for visits, spectacular walking, eating and activities and we had a great long weekend stay...only wish it could have been longer! Many thanks and would love to think that we'll be back.
