Well equipped Home from Home- Spacious rooms & several nearby wonderful beaches

Brambles is very much a family home. The owners live on their narrow boat Petroc during the summer months. They also have a small annexe attached to the side of the house but this is seldom occupied during the summer months. The house is extremely well equipped. There are two reception rooms both with TV and also a large kitchen-diner/garden room. Apart from their personal belongings and photographs the house is left for visitors to enjoy. It is situated in a close of 5 similar houses set back from the road. The location is peaceful and well away from the holiday traffic but still within reasonable distance of all amenities including 7 local beaches.

As well as the reception rooms and Kitchen/diner/Garden Room with utility area, there are 3 bedrooms (1 Kingsize, 1 Double, & 1 Twin) all with wash hand basins, Separate Bathroom, Shower and Toilet and a downstairs cloakroom.

The rear garden is fully enclosed. Well behaved dogs are very welcome at a small charge.

This is our own spacious and comfortable home which we have successfully let out for the past 10 years during the summer months whilst we live aboard our narrowboat Petroc cruising the UK canals and rivers. Brambles is now available all rear round.

We have stayed in Brambles Many times. We have stayed here for 3 weeks this year and do not want to leave. It will be difficult to find a house that offers everything Brambles does.



Another lovely stay in your homely, fab house. Just wish we didn't have to leave



We love this house. It is our second stay in this lovely house and great location. So homely, comfortable and well equipped with a beautiful garden. The local area is perfect, fabulous scenery, great beaches and lots to do. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

Cosy home from home perfect for our four dogs.

This year was our fourth visit to Brambles, which tells it all. The house is comfortable and very well equipped - it does not feel like a rental.

Our four dogs are safe and happy in the lovely garden and the location is perfect with just a short drive to the wonderful beaches and some great places to eat. We hope to return next year.

Fantastic property with everything you need for a

Brambles is perfectly situated in a quiet residential lane a few minutes drive from St Merryn. It's close to all the fabulous beaches in the area. The house is excellently equipped with everything you could need for a short or long stay in the area. When we first arrived we were immediately struck by how spotless every inch of the house was. We were lucky enough to spend a few weeks here and it really felt like a home from home. It was lovely to have a large garden for the children to play in as well as the opportunity to eat outside. There was a great selection of toys, books, dvds as well as some beach toys. The bedrooms were of a good size with comfortable beds and furniture throughout!

Communication with the owners was efficient, friendly and easy.

We can highly recommend staying in Brambles if you have the chance. We hope to stay again ourselves!

Brambles, St Merryn

We stayed at Brambles for two weeks and found it to be our most comfortable Cornwall holiday ever. The house is situated in a very quiet lane in St Merryn. 3 miles from Padstow...and 2 or three miles from several beautiful sandy beaches. The house had everything we needed and was just as well equiped as our own home, with plenty of room and areas to sit and read one of the many books on display...as well as several tv's, dvd players and films and hi-fi's with a wide selection of cd's in case the weather is disappointing... there is also free wifi. There is a very well equipped kitchen should you feel inspired to cook like the local tv chef, Rick Stein. The well maintained gardens are also very enjoyable...with a shed containing equipment such as a BBQ and beach equipment for holidaymakers to use. Patio furniture in two areas means that you can sit and catch the best of the morning or afternoon/evening sunshine. Overall the property was excellent, clean and tidy, with excellent levels of equipment and in a beautiful and peaceful location. The owners and caretakers provided great communication and were always just a phone call away if there were any issues....which there weren't. This is the best property we have rented since staying in Cornwall for the best part of 30 years..If you book this property you will not be disappointed

Brambles

A very clean, comfortable and spacious property close to amenities and beaches. This is a real gem of a house with loads of space for a family with three teenage boys and a dog. Wonderfully equipped with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay and tucked away in a quiet and secluded close. I cannot recommend this property highly enough.

Brambles

We have stayed at Brambles three times and will return again this summer. It is a very comfortable, spacious, house, very well equipped, and with much more character than the average holiday property as it is also a real home. In particular a lovely bright dining/garden room; with a decent enclosed garden at the rear. Quiet location 1 mile outside St. Merryn. Convenient for several beaches but you need a car.

This area has much to offer with at least 7 local beaches within 2 miles, nearby Trevose Golf Club and wonderful walks. Peacefully situated in a small close of 4 similar properties we are completely protected from all the hustle and bustle of the holiday trade, whilst being only one mile from St Merryn village with all the facilities you could need. Padstow is 3 miles away with more shops, good restaurants including Rick Stein's Seafood restaurant.

Brambles was originally our main home during the winter months but now we have a small annexe to one side of the property. However the majority of the contents are still in the main house. This means that it really is a 'Home form Home' The downstairs is extremely spacious and allows flexibility if two families are sharing. The garden/dining area allows you to enjoy the garden even on the occasional rainy day.
