Villa in Nerja, Costa del Sol, Spain - Peaceful Secure Location With Private Secluded Sun Trap Terrace And Garden

This high quality family owned villa sleeps between 4-6 people, set in the small but beautiful Jardines de Nerja. Private parking is provided with the villa. The villa is spread over 4 floors and has a full roof terrace and secluded quiet rear garden, and full central heating and Air conditioning. Ground floor consists of lounge/dinner, fully equipped kitchen, downstairs cloakroom. Outside through patio doors is the two level south facing garden. A marble staircase leads to the first floor with two bedrooms (1 double with tv and 1 twin), each with their own Juilette balconies, and fitted wardrobes, and large ceiling fans installed, and air conditioning units in each bedroom. Main bedroom has just had a new large double bed delivered. Separate large family bathroom. A further marble staircase leads to the private roof terrace with stunning views and seating provided to enjoy it !roof shower to cool off during the hottest hours. Seats and sun beds are provided, awnings front and rear of the villa and the swimming pool is right next to the villa. The villa has full high speed (unlimited download) internet and large flat screen TV with full TV package (BBC 1/2/3/4, ITV1/2/3 Sky Movies, All Sky Sports channels and Nat Geo, Discovery etc). The villa has a large lower ground floor accessed by another marble staircase with lounge, dining table, comfortable seating, kitchen, bathroom and double bed, Within a few minutes walk from the villa are bars restaurants and a mini supermarket, walking through the beautiful pathways of Capistrano village. The centre of the beautiful old town of Nerja is 20 minutes walk, or a few minutes drive, or even 1 Euro on the regular bus. The same distance away are the many beaches of the region, including the famous blue flag Burriana beach with all the usual beach activities including jetski rental, banana boat, scuba diving, and parasailing. Again this can be reached by the 1 Euro bus. Quieter beaches are dotted all along the coast, with Nerja boasting 16 km of sandy beaches with crystal clear water. Nerja has been described as the jewel of the Costa del Sol, with its old town having been untouched by modern tourism, boasting narrow winding streets littered with plazas and over 300 street restaurants and cafes, where you can sit watching the world go by, or even hire a horse drawn carriage. At the heart of Nerja is its spectacular Balcón de Europa the "Balcony of Europe", a magnificent promenade along the edge of a towering cliff, once the site of the great Moorish castle, with sweeping panoramic views of the Mediterranean and the small coves and beaches below, against an awesome backdrop of hazy blue mountains. Las Cuevas de Nerja (the Caves of Nerja) are a series of naturally formed caves and caverns in the hills of Maro, 4km East of Nerja, some of which have taken up to two million years to form. The caves contain the widest naturally-formed column in the world, which has held the Guinness World Record since 1989. Several times a year concerts are held in the large caverns. Several good golf course are available nearby. The picturesque hillside ‘white village’ of Frigiliana is just ten minutes away by car and is well worth a visit. Similarly the incredible Alhambra palace, a world heritage site is located only 90 minutes drive away, or the sights of Marbella or Gibraltar, heading west along the coast. About Jenny

We have brought this villa because we absolutely love Nerja and have been there on many holidays for the last 20 years. It is our second home and provides all the little extras that you would expect. We trust that any one renting it will fall in love with the area and the villa itself and totally relax and enjoy all it has to offer.

Why Jenny chose Nerja

Nerja has all the charm of a Spanish town, with fantastic beaches and small coves, the caves and hundreds of bars and restaurants, suiting every taste from chic waterfront champagne restaurants to many roof terraces and family eateries for all tastes and flavours. The sub tropical temperature of the Malaga area gives it long hot summer days and very mild winters, with Malaga experiencing the warmest average winter temperatures in winter (17-18 degrees) of any European city. With the central heating, any chilly evenings will present no problem.

What makes this villa unique

The property being family owned gives a feeling of being at home, with all the mod cons of your house. Its comfortable, large enough to get quiet space and a fantastic roof terrace (equipped with a roof shower) for sun worshippers. The pool is great as its a full size pool set in beautiful grass area. The full size pool boasts a proper deep end (2m) and large shallow area, right next to the main pool is a seperate children pool. For the summer months the pool also has a pool attendant. Large 40" Full flat screen television in the lounge, with all sky sports and movies channels as well as the usual BBC 1/2/3 and ITV 1/2/3/4 etc, even a 30" flat screen tv in the main bedroom for those who love watching movies in bed. High speed internet with unlimited download for the kids to keep up to date with friends. We have provided a large selection of DVDs for all ages and a comprehensive library of books, again to cater for all tastes. Ceiling fans are fitted in the main bedrooms to keep you cool at night, along with Air conditioning . Long term winter lets will receive discounts, email us to discuss.

Notes on accommodation: No smoking please. DVD and video library available in the lounge. Outside: Private south facing garden with seating, awning and barbecue. Roof terrace has 2 sun loungers for private sunbathing. Roof shower is invaluable on those hot sunny days. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The property is fully cleaned before arrival and we provide bedlinen, hand and bath towels, although beach towels are NOT provided. Cleaning during your stay can be arranged at an additional cost.

Excellent accommodation for our long term winter let.

We stayed here mid November until the end of March, the villa had everything we needed for our stay and Craig and Jenny were brilliant to deal with before during and after our stay. The property is on 4 levels with some really nice outside space. The pool was not in use most of our stay but the gardens and pool area were lovely and well kept by Manolo the gardener. The small back patio area is secluded and gets sun most of the day and it is nice to sit and have your meals and drinks out in the sun, there is a sun canopy if it gets to hot. You can also sit on the roof terrace which has a lovely view over town and out to sea.

The villa is spacious inside downstairs having a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen area and seating space with table and chairs. The main sitting room is light and airy with a comfortable settee and chairs, the kitchen adjoins this and has recently been refurbished to a high standard and is well stocked with cooking utensils and crockery etc. The 2 main bedrooms are upstairs the double bed being very comfortable the other with twin beds and there is plenty of storage space, the bathroom on this floor has also recently been refurbished to a high standard with an excellent walk in shower.

The TV has a good selection of channels and the wifi worked really well. There was ample parking for our car as we drove down this was really useful as parking in Nerja can be a nightmare. Walk to Burriana is around 15 minutes but uphill coming back or into town a bit longer but flatter if you don't fancy a walk the no. 1 and no. 2 local bus services pick up and drop off right outside the complex, for 1 euro you can take them to see were you can get on and off. Mercadona and Supersol supermarkets are handy 5 minutes walk through the lovely village. Handy for a drink or something to eat are The Cave Bar, Los Arcos and Tennis Club, if you don't want to go into town. An ideal place to rest and relax

It's been two weeks since we returned from the lovely villa in Nerja and as I head out to work in the rain, battling traffic , I find myself longing to be sitting on the terrace in the sun with a cup of tea again.

The villa was ideal for us. Plenty of space to spread out-with two teenage boys that is very important. We had anything we could possibly need-a fab barbecue, all the kitchen equipment, a full sized fridge and freezer, a washing machine etc.

The bed in the master bedroom was incredibly comfortable;I slept better than I had in ages.

The living room was comfortable and homely and equipped with the all important [to teenagers!] wifi, tv, dvds, books and games.

Outside the front door is a lovely pool-big enough to swim properly and quiet enough to do so-unlike a lot of places in August. There was a lifeguard on duty too which would be reassuring if you had little ones. The gardens surrounding the pool were very well maintained and lush and sitting on the grass under the umbrellas was a real pleasure.

Nerja itself is a fab holiday destination with plenty of good places to eat, nice beaches and in a good position for exploring. We went to Granada one day which is a must see and Almeira. The caves were also a good trip.

If you are there in high season then lidl is open on a Sunday for stocking up the fridge.It's just on the outskirts of town as you come off the motorway.

If you need a Dr while in Nerja the Santa Cecilia clinic has English speaking nurses and an American Dr. It is a private clinic though so you will need to pay.

Jenny very helpfully sent us full directions with photos before we left for Nerja so finding the villa was easy. I would recommend a car although there is an hourly bus from the complex into town which is very handy and only costs 1 euro each.

All in all, we had a lovely relaxing holiday and would recommend the villa as an ideal base for enjoying Nerja.

Home from home in an excellent resort

After a stress free arrival at the villa because of he excellent coast road and directions, we landed at Jardin de Nerjas.

The villa, gardens and complex are a delight. As a family you could not ask or more, the villa is spacious and well equipped. The gardens and pool are beautiful and maintained to a high standard. The complex has a brilliant pool, we were lucky as our children had plenty of other children to play with and this was a big deal for us as it gives us time to relax and enjoy our holiday.

We have been to the Costa del Sol on several occasions but our first in time in Nerja. It wont be our last. The town is fantastic, with so many quality restaurants, lovely beaches and things to see and do that you cannot get bored.

All in all a fabulous time spent at Jenny's home,we can't thank her enough for sharing her house and making sure we had a great time.

Would highly recommend for families with children or groups of adults wanting spend a quiet, relaxing holiday in a brilliant resort.

Second year here and just as good. Beautiful villa, lovely gardens and Jenny has got it spot on. Loved it and want to return. Have spent time further west of Costa del Sol but Nerja is my favourite by far and this small complex is perfect.

A fantastic villa in a fabulous location

This is truly a really nice, spacious villa located in a quite residential complex with lots of amenities nearby. I personally would recommend a car in order that you get to experience the region.

The owner Jenny has been a delight to deal with. Her directions/instructions from airport to the villa are fantastic - you cannot get lost as she provides a photo of each turn you need to make.

Do read the info pack in the villa as it is well put together and offers lots of advice on what to do and see. A must is a visit to Frigiliana.

If you travel on a Sunday be advised the 'big name' Supermarkets are closed !

A lovely home

Very enjoyable stay quite a lot of steps so would not recommend for anyone with mobility issues. Very pretty gardens and a nice pool :)
