'Chudleigh' is a comfortable home sleeping up to 8 people in 3 bedrooms and is tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac situated in the heart of town. A stones throw away from the Promenade, Sandy beaches, the shops, Swanage Steam Railway, Bus Station, Post Office, Conservative Club, pubs and restaurants are all just a minutes walk away. Centrally located and easy access to everything Swanage has to offer.

Parking is on the road and Cornwall Road is unrestricted but does have limited spaces and is on a first come basis.

'Chudleigh' been described as a good old fashioned seaside holiday cottage.

About the Owner

We are both originally from London. We moved & married in Swanage 33 years ago. We have 3 grown up children who have enjoyed growing up in this beautiful part of the country.

Why this Location?

I (Lynn) was introduced to Swanage as a young child as my father had been evacuated here during the war and his ambition was to live here which he eventually did, with my mother.

'Chudleigh' was my parents home for 25 years and now been passed onto myself. We have carefully renovated this house to make the most for a comfortable holiday in our favourite town.

Great holiday home

We had a super holiday here, as a family of 8 (6 children) the house was perfect for us, it was clean & bright with lovely seaside theme. The bathroom was a great size as were the bedrooms. Having a washing machine, dishwasher & garden was an extra bonus. We were minutes walking distance from both ends of the town, so convenient. All the beds had cuddly toys for the children & milk & biscuits had been left for our arrival. ! This was the best holiday home we've stayed in for 20 years of coming to Swanage.

We had a great time at Chudleigh Ideal for families and so nice to be able to walk everywhere. House is beautifully kept with lovely, bed linen and spacious bathroom. All ideal for family

Well equipped and comfortable in a great location

Chudleigh was as described/photographed and dealing with the owners was easy and friendly. It is right in the centre of town and well-situated for short walks to the beach, steam train/buses, shops, parks (including Durlston) and all that Swanage and the surrounding area have to offer.

Great accommodation in a good location

Right in the town centre, so very close to shops, transport and the beach. Perfect if you don't have a car. You would have to be extremely lucky to get parking outside the house. Very comfortable accommodation on 3 levels, well equipped. Good strong wifi, and plenty of games and books. It was clean and as described. Reasonable size outdoor area which gets the sun. Very well priced and good communication from the owner. I would definitely rent this house again and would recommend it to others.

Swanage is a great place to visit, good beach, incredible coastal walks, some really decent eateries.

Lovely, comfortable cottage

We have just returned from a lovely holiday staying at 'Chudleigh'. The cottage was immaculately clean, well-equipped and extremely well located. The owners have thought of everything, including homely touches such as cuddly toys and games for any children staying. Our four children felt quite at home, as did we. We would thoroughly recommend 'Chudleigh'. Thank you Lynn for a fantastic holiday and for your excellent communication throughout.

Excellent holiday cottage

Just had a week at Chudleigh wih 3 adults and 4 children and were very impressed with the cottage. It is well equipped, comfortable and beautifully maintained. The location is perfect for families, just a couple of minutes walk to the shops and beach. The owners have put a lot of thought into making this a lovely holiday home, and I would thoroughly recommend it for an enjoyable holiday.

The Purbecks is a beautiful area and the bay in Swanage with its safe bathing area for children is perfect for family holidays

We are about 2 minutes walk away from Promenade, Sandy beaches, the shops, Swanage Steam Railway, Bus Station, Post Office, Conservative Club, pubs and restaurants .

'Chudleigh' is in the centre of the town.

Distances:

Bournemouth is approximately 25 miles via the road or 12 miles via the Studland chain link ferry.

Poole is approximately 20 miles or 10 miles via the Studland chain link ferry.

Wareham is a saxon walled town and is 10 miles away.

Corfe Castle is 5 miles away and can be visited by Swanage Steam Railway.

All the above can be visited by Bus.

Durdle Door and Lulworth are approximately 18 miles away.

Owners Direct are adding a service charge to our rates if they collect your payment on our behalf. To avoid paying this we can deal with you direct and save on their booking fee. Prices include all utilities (gas, electricity and water). We also ask for a £200 damages/excessive cleaning deposit, refundable within 14 days of departure.

Booking notes-
A deposit of one third of the price of the holiday is required when booking the holiday, the balance due eight weeks prior to the start of the holiday.
A damages deposit of £200 is required, refunded within 14 days of departure.

Part week bookings of up to 4 nights (off peak times only) will be charged at 3/4 weekly rate. Parking in Cornwall Road and the next road along (Eldon Terrace) are unrestricted on a first come basis. Once you are parked there is no need to use the car as you are in the centre of town. Outside: At the rear of the cottage is a courtyard garden with tables chairs and a BBQ, Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Saturday changeover and thoroughly cleaned between lets.
