'Chudleigh' is a comfortable home sleeping from 2 people and up to 8 people in 3 bedrooms and is tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac situated in the heart of town. A stones throw away from the Promenade, Sandy beaches, the shops, Swanage Steam Railway, Bus Station, Post Office, Conservative Club, pubs and restaurants are all just a minutes walk away. Centrally located and easy access to everything Swanage has to offer.

Parking is on the road and Cornwall Road is unrestricted but does have limited spaces and is on a first come basis.

'Chudleigh' been described as a good old fashioned seaside holiday cottage.

We are both originally from London. We moved & married in Swanage 33 years ago. We have 3 grown up children who have enjoyed growing up in this beautiful part of the country.

Why this Location?

I (Lynn) was introduced to Swanage as a young child as my father had been evacuated here during the war and his ambition was to live here which he eventually did, with my mother.

'Chudleigh' was my parents home for 25 years and now been passed onto myself. We have carefully renovated this house to make the most for a comfortable holiday in our favourite town.

Notes on accommodation: STRICTLY NON SMOKING NO PETS PLEASE NOTE WE CAN ONLY ACCEPT FULL WEEK BOOKINGS IN PEAK TIMES. Bookings of 5 nights or more will be at the full weekly rate. Part week bookings of up to 4 nights (off peak times only) will be charged at 3/4 weekly rate. Parking in Cornwall Road and the next road along (Eldon Terrace) are unrestricted on a first come basis. Once you are parked there is no need to use the car as you are in the centre of town. Outside: At the rear of the cottage is a courtyard garden with tables chairs and a BBQ, Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Saturday changeover and thoroughly cleaned between lets. All bedding is supplied. Towels can be supplied by arrangement. Other: The dining has a large pine table and chairs, a dresser and a small chest freezer. At the rear of the cottage is a courtyard garden with tables chairs and a BBQ,

Excellent all round place to stay and visit the Isle of Purbeck...

We stayed for 3 nights, 2 adults and 3 small children. Chudleigh was perfect for us in every conceivable way. Beautiful and well equipped / furnished rooms, and a very child friendly house.

2mins to the beach, 2mins to shops, 2mins to the steam train and bus stops. We did not use our car for 2 days.

Our hosts were perfect, very understanding and eager to help out if necessary.

We cannot recommend Chudleigh highly enough. It will we hope, be a regular holiday break destination for us for many years….

Very comfortable and amazing location

The owners made us feel very welcome at their property. It was very well-equipped and comfortable. The bedrooms are spacious. The location is amazing - just a short walk from the beach, and all the shops and cafes. We loved it!

Another fantastic stay at Chudleigh!

We spent two weeks at Chudleigh & had a lovely break, this was our third stay here. On arrival we found Easter eggs for our 6 children & an Easter card, there was tea, milk & biscuits left for us which was very welcoming. The house has everything you could need during your stay, well equipped from kitchen equipment, dishwasher,washing machine, fridge & freezer to toys & books for children. Full of seaside charm & very cosy. We love the quite location, it's perfectly situated for the shops, beach, steam railway etc, all just minutes walking distance away. We will be returning soon. Thank you once again.

We stayed in Chudleigh for the Swanage Blues Festival in October.

The owners have made a great effort to provide a really clean, tidy and very comfortable cottage.

Prices include all utilities (gas, electricity and water). We also ask for a £200 damages/excessive cleaning deposit, refundable within 14 days of departure.
PLEASE NOTE WE CAN ONLY ACCEPT FULL WEEK BOOKINGS IN PEAK TIMES
Booking notes-
A deposit of one third of the price of the holiday is required when booking the holiday, the balance due eight weeks prior to the start of the holiday.
A damage deposit of £200 is required, refunded within 14 days of departure.
