About the Owner

Live in Leeds with my partner David, wished we lived at our place in Chamonix all year long! Obviously we love therefore, snow, biking, walking, outdoor adventures, the mountains, the après ski atmosphere.

We love to travel, have lived and worked in the USA, Australia and France.

Personal preference for places to stay? Places that are individual, offer a really nice level of comfort and facilities, but aren't stuffy. Hopefully our place matches this to perfection!

Great stay in a lovely well equipped apartment - although hosts not based there the local management company SnoStation very helpful plus excellent comms from David before hand. Good location and plenty of useful local intel included in the info pack. Strongly recommended. We will be back!

The Astor is in a great location; nice and peaceful with lovely views but still easy to walk into town and for the ski bus. Lovely accommodation!!

Neat spot!

An amazing little apartment for a solo hiker/senior-ager. As advertised in the photos. Neat as a pin. Clean as a whistle. Cozy little bedrooms with a king bed in one, bunks in the other and another pull-out in the LR. A quiet street. Nice little kitchen with 4-burner, micro/convection and nice size fridge. Good WiFi. Nice little patios. Near shopping, tourist sites and transportation. Nice TV, Combo W/D. Owner and agent were both responsive, efficient and effective. This is now my little home in Chamonix. Loved it.

Lovely apartment in great location in Chamonix

Our family of 5 (3 daughters aged 8,11 and 13) had a very enjoyable few days in Chamonix, despite average weather preventing us from really experiencing the Alps. The apartment is well equipped, with lots of extras and a great guide to the area. Even the little things have been considered, including a welcome pack of goodies when we arrived which was most appreciated. There are great views of the mountains from every window and balcony. We really recommend this apartment for a stay in Chamonix and we hope to return !

Great apartment. Great location

Excellent location in Chamonix.

Clean and very well looked after. Comfortably slept 5 of us.

David and Laura were very helpful, nothing was too much trouble.

I would certainly recommend - and plan to head back again in the near future myself.

Beautiful views from the balcony too.

We love Chamonix and hope that you will fall in love with the place too after visiting. The Astor is brilliantly located in a quiet sector of central Chamonix which means you can enjoy all the fantastic amenities this year round resort has to offer (bars, restaurants, shopping, skiing, golf, walking etc etc), yet get a greats night sleep to recharge those batteries! Our 2 bedroom apartment is newly renovated with all the 'creature comforts' to make your stay memorable: Free WiFi Flat screen TV with UK Freeview Fully equipped kitchen DVD and Nintendo Wii Board games Visit our 'things to do' section on our website www.astorchamonix.com to get some ideas of whats going on......its not all about the skiing!!!
