Villa in Dalyan, Aegean Region, Turkey - Quiet Residential Area 15 Minutes Leisurely Walk To Town Centre & River

The villa is situated on a corner plot in a quiet residential area of Dalyan. It is not directly overlooked which gives a feeling of space and has lovely views of the mountains. An area of shade was incorporated into the villa design to within 4-5 feet of the house walls, this ensures that it stays relatively cool inside during the heat of the day and a roofed over terrace has been created to give extra shade and create an area to relax in during those very rare summer showers. A marble staircase leads to the 1st floor. The nearest large supermarket is about five minutes’ walk and stocks most provisions. The ‘Isik’ restaurant is about 100m further on. The town centre and river are a leisurely 5 to 6 minute stroll from there. The dolmus (buses) run every 15-20 minutes and stop by request on the corner just past the supermarket.

Hello,

My name is Ayhan Adinli. I was born in Ortaca which is the next town to Dalyan and went to school there. I have lived in this area all my life. I have my own business as a Blacksmith and there are many examples of my hand built work located around the villa. I am a very conscientious person and I take great pride in my work and this has built my reputation bringing me much repeated work and this is reflected in the villa. My hobby is restoring old motorcycles and I currently l have 4 BMW twins 1954,1955, 1956,1957 and a boxer sıngle.

Nearest Airport : Turkey Mugla Dalaman Airport at 15 Kilometres Nearest Ferry : iztuzu beach by boat from Dalyan at 8 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Dalyan Iztuzu beach at 5 Kilometres

Coast/Beach:

The famous 7km sandy Iztuzu beach where the carreta carreta turtles breed is about 20 minutes on the dolmus or 40min by boat

Travel:

Dalaman airport is about 25 minutes’ drive away

Distances:

Everything in Dalyan is nearby and a car isn't essential. Bicycles and scooters are available for hire. The centre and river are about a 15 minutes leisurely walk. Kaunos is across the river and easily accessable by boat. The dolmus to Ortaca and /Koycegiz both stop by request at the supermarket

Further Details:

There are numerous cash machines in the town. The local Jeweller Aksoy changes money and generally gives a slightly higher exchange rate and does not charge commission. There are three national supermarkets in Dalyan the closest within a few minutes of the villa. Fresh produce is available in the town and the Saturday market offers an excellent choice. There are many restaurants in the town

The villas location is great! It is a corner plot and the site is shared with two other villa owned by English people. It is on the old main road to Ortaca so has very little traffic. The terrace is secluded by trees so has a feeling of privacy and spaciousness and offers splendid views of the mountains. The Villa faces West so the sun is on the back during the morning and on the terrace in the afternoon but the pool remains in full sun all day. There is more than one national supermarket nearby, the closest is just 5-6 minutes. A restaurant, the Isik is about 100 yards further on. There is an "Allsorts" shop that occupies 4 shops and sells everything opposite the Isik. The town and river are just another 5-6 minutes away which offer

  • Notes on accommodation: Limon Grove is a self-contained & fully equipped villa comprising of two floors with an elevated sun terrace at the front. Completed in 2008 it has a unique design and sits within a walled garden shared with two other villas owned by English people on a corner plot. All furnishings, fixtures and fittings are to a high standard. An area of shade was incorporated into the design which ensures it stays relatively cool inside during the heat of the day. There are multiple small trees and creepers providing privacy and giving shade. The terrace will give cover in the event of a summer shower. The villa is situated in a quiet residential area of Dalyan. The nearest restaurant & a large supermarket are about 5-6 minute walk away and stocks most provisions. The town centre and river are a leisurely 5 to 6 minute stroll further on Outside: The pool is in full sun, but there is a covered seating area. The pool which is 20’x36’x5’ and 6’ at its deepest end with curved steps to the bottom. There are some trees that will give welcome shade if needed. Some young fruit trees border the terrace and garden. The area around the villa is paved but there are flowering plants to the opposite side of the terrace. Utility Room: The utility area is on the ground floor and houses the washing machine and also has a w.c. and a wash basin. A folding clothes dryer is provided and with the area facing south giving full sun all day drying is quickly achieved Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All linen and towels are provided but not beach towels. Full cleaning and linen changes are carried out between lets and a mini clean & linen change on lets longer than a week are included. Other: The large sun terrace is accessed from the lounge or the kitchen. Via French windows fitted with pull down security shutters. The terrace is equipped with table & chairs, a hand made ornamental garden swing & balustrades built by the owner.
