Casa Charlana is a beautiful detached two storey villa with private pool, BBQ, private driveway, multiple terrace surrounded by tropical gardens for privacy and is furnished to a high standard. This villa is finished with marble flooring throughout and is totally private. Located in a quiet but very convenient area to everything that Puerto del Carmen has to offer. This is an ideal holiday home with all the mod cons one would have a home!

Villa Charlana is a real gem and I would not hesitate to book it again. Not only is it spacious, very clean, fully equipped and homely, it is also ideally located in the peaceful Los Mojones area of Puerto del Carmen and yet no more than a couple of minutes walk to all the shops, supermarkets, cafes, bars and restaurants. The private pool was small but perfect for cooling off from the scorching sun and the outdoor dining area was great for relaxing evening meals. The overall customer service we received from Gemma was excellent from start to finish and the fact that we were graciously given a late check out meant that we could leave all our belongings safely in the villa and enjoy one last stroll along the beach. I am already planning my next trip.







My husband and I have just returned from a fantastic 10 days at Casa Charlana :-) It was the most relaxing and comfortable place we have ever stayed on holiday... the villa is beautiful and the private pool just finishes it off altogether! The villa and the area were both above and beyond our expectations and we would (and have already) recommended it to all of our friends....There is nothing negative we could possibly say about our stay here... We shall most certainly be going back next year :-)..







We have just returned from a fantastic two week stay in Villa Charlana. Really enjoyed staying at this villa as the location was just perfect. Close to all the shops and restaurants in Puerto del Carmen yet located in a peaceful and relaxing neighbourhood. Loved it! It should be noted though that the walk back to the property from PDC is quite uphill. This wasn't a problem for us but it could be an issue for others perhaps those with young children or older travellers so worth remembering.

The customer service we received from Gemma from the moment we enquired about the villa right through until our holiday was over was impeccable. She kept in contact with us over six months (we booked it back in January) keeping us updated and was always available to answer any questions we had. She very kindly offered us a late check-out when she noticed our return flights home were not until 7.25pm. As such we were able to spend our last day in Lanzarote relaxing by the pool and having lunch without worrying about our bags. The service continued throughout our holiday when we had a small water leak in the bathroom and had to contact the company. Even though it was a Sunday, we had a plumber there within 30 mins and the problem was solved. I would wholeheartedly recommend booking a villa with Gemma and her team. I think it would be hard to find better in Lanzarote!

Outside: Private pool 4.5m x 2m approx. in size with pool cover. 4 sun loungers and covers surrounding the pool. There is a covered outdoor dining area with table and chairs for 4 people. There is a built in BBQ area with outdoor sink and plenty of prep counter space ideal for family BBQs in the sun! Utility Room: Utility room with washing machine, iron and ironing board. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All linen is included along with bathroom towels. WE DO NOT PROVIDE BEACH TOWELS Villa is cleaned upon arrival plus a mid week clean and towel/linen change. Pool is cleaned twice a week.

lovely holiday just the garden overgrown we had to lop the bushes to get in and out of the pool even though we reported it .also i think the matress on the double bed needs changing its full of lumps

Well positioned, compact, modern and clean villa, that needs a little attention outside

This villa is well positioned and elevated. Access to the old town and port area, and the more up-beat 'strip' with its many shops bars and restaurants, is walkable, though there is a climb back. Shops and Supermarket very close by.

The accommodation is compact, with a double and a twin bedroom. The upstairs suite has a bathroom and two sea-facing terraces. Downstairs is a further bedroom, bathroom and living space - all quite adequate. The shower was not as powerful as it might have been. In the kitchen we found everything we required for cooking dinner (which we did every other evening).

Outside, the garden did require attention (Feb 17) - one plant did actually impede entry to the pool steps, and another was getting to invade the patio space. The pool is very small and suitable for a cooling plunge. Two strokes would take you from one end to the other.

We did not use the pool, given the time of year, some inclement weather, and strong winds blowing leaf debris into the water. Also at the time the pool was in need of repair.

As there was only 2 of us, we had a very good supply of towels, and decent sized bath towels.

When we arrived the only provisions that were left from previous tenants, consisted of salt pepper and ant spray - virtually no loo roll, nor wash-up liquid - compared to what accumulates in other villas it was very sparse.

The villa is situated on a very busty road - Salinas is a 'rat-run' for taxi's and delivery vans, though the traffic noise did not affect us. On the other hand, the pool equipment (heater maybe) was a constant drone and could be heard at all hours - some soundproofing would be very welcomed.

The outside terraces are uncovered. The one facing east is overlooked, the one to the south is not. The patio terrace cover did not stop the squally showers from blowing rain right under. As a result, in inclement weather we were driven indoors.

Overall, would say this is a very nice villa, which could be made much better if a couple of the issues were addressed

Wish we were here!

Having visited Puerto Del Carmen many times we thought we'd try this villa. YES definitely the right decision. Central enough to get to everything you want/need but quiet and private enough to relax and chill. The villa has everything you need. Wi if available for a charge, and Some Sky Channels. Mind you we spent most of our time enjoy the garden and pool. Another big plus no fighting for sunbeds in the morning.

Can't wait to go back!

Sunny Stunner!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay at Casa Charlana. We found the location, size and privacy of villa perfect for us. Well maintained with everything we needed to ensure a very relaxing holiday. While in Lanzarote we did the Grand Island Tour and Waverider experience. We were lucky to spot Whales while out on the 2.5hr trip. Would not hesitate to recommend to family and friends. No problems with booking and no issues with Villa that needed any attention during our stay. Many Thanks to Gemma.

Location

Car: not necessary

Coast/Beach:

The nearest beach is the main beach along the Avenida de las Playas ( the strip as its locally known) which is just a 5 minutes walk away from the villa. There is also a much smaller beach called Playa Chica near the Fariones Hotel which is also just a few minutes walk away from Casa Charlana and is ideal for scuba diving!

Travel:

Casa Charlana is a 10 minutes drive away from Arrecife airport in Lanzarote and costs approx. 15 euro in a taxi each way.Car hire not required unless you want to explore this beautiful Island as bus stops and taxi ranks are only 3 minutes walk.
