Elegant Grade II listed galleried stone barn with floor to ceiling picture window offering spectacular views over Dartmoor. Sleeps 6 comfortably in 3 spacious bedrooms. Open plan kitchen, dining and living area with French limestone with underfloor heating & wood burner. Furnished throughout with characterful antiques and the highest quality linen. Guests also have use of the adjoining games barn and the tree house. Very peaceful location set in the middle of 80 acres of fields, woods and streams set between the National Park and National Trust land. The property is exceptionally rich in wildlife including buzzards, deer, otters (part of National England Otter survey) and sky larks as well as England's largest collection of Bog Myrtle. The location is perfect for walking or cycling on Dartmoor, visiting numerous beaches or National Trust Properties. Despite this rural setting it is only 1.5miles from the shops in Bovey Tracey which include an excellent delicatessen, butcher, baker and restaurants.

Well maintained property, spotlessly clean. Great location just outside Bovey Tracey. Fantastic view from main room, enjoyed our evenings watching the sun setting. Great walks from the door. Good quality linen & towels. Can highly recommend & hope to revisit next year

stunning barn

We had an amazing holiday in this perfect location. The Barn had everything we needed and was so comfortable. The grounds were lovely and the whole place was so peaceful and quiet, just sitting outside with a cold beer watching the scenery was incredible. There was plenty for us to do in the local area with our 2 year old. We'll definitely return.

Notes on accommodation: WiFi provided, smart TV and modern appliances. Central & underfloor heating and wood burner. Outside: The barn has a private walled courtyard covered with granite setts rescued from Plymouth dockyard and a small box hedge parterre. Beyond garden is an old recently restored orchard, two further gardens, a tree house 80 acres of fields, woods and streams. Safe for pets as no main roads for better part of a mile although cattle in some of he fields in summer months. Utility Room: Miele washing machine and dryer located in kitchen. Lots of space as can use adjoining games room barn. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All linen to highest standard with 600 thread count pure cotton sheets and bathroom towels and kitchen tea towels all provided. Cleaning available for multiple week bookings on request. Other: The barn has been converted to high standards of insulation and comfort but retaining the architectural integrity of stone and wood beams and original antique floor boards. To anyone who appreciates old buildings this is a gem.
