In Trearddur Bay . A delightful, spacious detached property with lovely sea views, close to the popular sandy beach of Trearddur Bay on the Isle of Anglesey. This Trearddur Bay cottage offers a stylish upside down accommodation with wonderful sea views.Three ground floor bedrooms, one with en-suite, while upstairs there is a kitchen with dining area and a large sitting room with attractive beams, wood burner and a balcony with spectacular sea views. There is parking for up to 3 cars and also enough room to park a boat The property is ideally situated with many beautiful coves only a short walk away and also the beautiful Blue Flag sandy beaches at Trearddur Bay and Porth Dafach close by.These beaches offer a variety of water sports,while horse riding, fishing, bike hire and the Anglesey Coastal path are all on the door step of this Trearddur Bay cottage. There are many surrounding areas of beauty to explore, South stack light house is close by.

About the Owner

I used to live in Trearddur Bay as a child, many of my family still live on the island.When we moved to Yorkshire we always came back on holidays. When i got married i introduced my husband to Anglesey and he fell it love with it too. We have been coming here with our children since they were babies. My husbands sister also fell in love with the place and has been coming for years with her husband and three children. She always thanks me for introducing her to such a magical place. In fact she married her long time partner in LLangefni and we had the reception on the beach on a glorious summers day in August.

Everything you could want, excellent location

The property had everything you could want, was well maintained and very clean. Excellent sea views in a great location. We had the bonus of brilliant weather but would return here regardless, area offers close beaches and wonderful coastline. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Brilliant Holiday Home!

This truly was home from home. We stayed for two weeks and had everything we needed for a great holiday. Our two children (4 and 6) loved the house and made themselves at home immediately. The views from the property are superb and Echo Beach, being literally on the doorstep, is great. Belinda made the booking and stay easy and anything we needed was dealt with straight away.

We all loved Anglesey and will be back next year.

Upside Down House

We have just returned from a lovely holiday in this well equipped house in Trearddur Bay. We took our two grandsons with us and they really enjoyed the trips to rock pools on Echo Beach, just a couple of minutes walk from the house. This became an evening activity before bed.

Trearddur Bay has a lovely beach, lots of nice sand. For those interested the Life Boat crew practice on a Sunday morning and a Thursday evening ( 5 o'clock) Nice play ground across from the Life Boat building, boys loved it.

The owner provided full operational information on all the electrical goods and the log burner, nothing left out. Risk assessments provided, and advice with having under 8 year olds given. All the electrical equipment had current PAT stickers.

Very quiet locality.

Comfortable beds - essential in our eyes

Can highly recommend a visit to this property, and would definitely consider it for our next holiday on Anglesey.

great holiday

never been to Anglesey before, we loved it. The house was great and in a nice peaceful location. it was very clean and comfy. There was all that you needed in the house. There were seven of us and there was plenty of room. It wasn't far to walk into trearddur bay just needed to watch the traffic because not pavement all the way. The children used to find their way off road and over the rocks for most of the way. it was nice in an evening just going across the road to a small cove and sit whilst children and grown ups went crabbing. The views from the lounge were lovely. We highly recommend this property to our family and friends. Our dealings with the owner were very good and very helpful. We shall be going back to Anglesey again and would not hesitate to book this property again. We had three cars and parking was no problem.

Everything that you could want from a holiday home

Thank you to the homeowners. Communication was great. The house was clean and had everything that you would want from a holiday home.The reasons why I did not rate the property as 5 stars is as follows -

The bunk bed room smelt musty and that made it impossible to sleep in that room. The clothes hung in the room also smelt musty.

We could not sit in the garden as the grass and weeds were too long.

I would suggest a shower attachment in the bathroom and coat hooks in both bathrooms.

The property had a number of family games, books and DVD's. However, there were a number of horror DVD's that my young son came across that perhaps should not be made available in a family property.

The WiFI code is not the code that is in the manual.This was found on the back of the router.

I must stress that the above did not spoil our holiday in anyway.The location of the property was near to a huge retail park including Tesco, Morrisons and a petrol station. The A55 is the minutes away for visiting the tourist attractions. 20 miles from Bangor. The property is very near to many small coves and ideal for exploring.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review and for the four stars, we are lucky to have a wonderful housekeeper who keeps the house spotlessly clean. I am currently staying at the property with my family at time of writing this response. Regarding the smell you describe in the bunk bed room, I can not smell anything and my children's clothes are not affected either and the previous guests had not complained of a smell.The bedroom had been decorated at Easter and had been thoroughly cleaned and fresh bed linen and towels provided in the room on the day of your check in. So I am truly sorry that you felt that you were unable to sleep in there. I am sorry that you felt that you couldn't sit in the garden because the grass was too long, unfortunately we had a lot of rain and sunshine around the time of your stay and everyone's grass was long, our gardener cuts it every two weeks and it was cut again on the day of your check out. When the bath rooms were fitted a couple of years ago, the bathroom fitter advised us against having a shower in the bath due to the position of the bath, so they ensured that the shower in the ensuite also had a hand held shower for hair washing and for washing sand off children's feet. Hooks on the back of the bathroom doors are a good idea, I have bought some hooks and when my husband comes to stay he is going to fit them. The DVDs you described were bought by my teenage son and were all a 15 certificate. It is a family house but we also have sailing, diving groups and families with teenagers and I have tried to cater for everyone. I hope that responsible parents supervise what their young children watch on television. To be helpful I thought I would write the WIFI code at the front of the welcome pack, I have had a look and it is the same as the one on the back of the router. Wonderful seaside holiday home

The property had everything we could want for a family holiday. It was in a quiet location with fantastic views over Treaddurr Bay. We had a really relaxing time and enjoyed every minute.

The property has been in my family for the last 20 years, We recently decided to update the property and have it as a holiday let, so that other people could enjoy it as much as we do.

Lovely coves a couple of minutes walk from the property (65 yards), great for rock pools. Trearddur Bay and Porth Dafach both approx 1 mile away both blue flag beaches offering a variety of water sports.


Holyhead port is just over 3 miles away if you fancy catching a ferry to Dublin


Trearddur Bay is 1 mile away, Holyhead is 3 miles away

Further Details:

There are two local well stocked shops and post office in Trearddur Bay and there is Tesco, Morrisons, Asda and various other shops on the outskirts of Holyhead. There is a very good leisure centre and swimming pool just outside Trearddur Bay on the way to Holyhead. Holyhead Marina is definitely worth a visit particularly in the summer months. Trearddur Bay Hotel has a very nice restaurant and bar and it is less than a mile away from the property. The Seacroft Hotel is situated at the other side of the Bay along Ravenspoint Road which has a nice restaurant and bar.
