About Simon Mehigan

I live in the village, just up the road from Pear Tree Cottage, where we enjoy the best of the beautiful countryside and proximity to the coast. We also own Myrtle Cottage next door https://www.ownersdirect.co.uk/accommodation/p8079701 and both cottages can be available for larger parties.

Simon Mehigan purchased this cottage in 2015

Why Simon Mehigan chose Dorset

My wife already owned Myrtle Cottage next door (also available to rent though Owners Direct) so I was delighted to buy the adjoining cottage so we could make improvements to both sides including soundproofing and privacy.

What makes this cottage unique

Fabulous 16th Century beams in the roof that really excite the Conservation officers. This was probably a hall house and one of the oldest houses in Netherbury.

Beautiful cottage, in a peaceful location which has been refurbished to a high standard. Very well maintained, spotlessly clean with top quality linens, kitchen equipment and dinnerware. Basic provisions were provided, including fresh eggs from the owners' hens - a very welcoming touch. Amanda and Simon responded to any queries promptly and were very helpful. Would definitely recommend and hope to book again.

An excellent choice

  • 5 of 5

A delightful cottage that was an excellent choice for our party of four adults. The cottage is well equipped and the decoration is in good order as well as being spotlessly clean. The interior is large enough so that we all fitted in well with no problems, and we liked the cottage very much. The location is good in a quiet village, and it was easy to access various local attractions quickly by car. The owners are very helpful with details about the cottage and surrounding area. We fully recommend this property. The Brassica restaurant in Beaminster is superb; most of the local pubs are good.
