This spacious modern 2 bedroom apartment is in the stunning complex of Residencial La Fuente. This lovely apartment is tastefully furnished and has lovely views of the Almijaras mountains, over the valleys filled with almond and avocado trees. The complex is extremely well maintained and the beautifully landscaped gardens offer peaceful walks to the communal pool, children’s pool and padle court. Only 2 minutes walk away is the historic area of Frigiliana village nestling in the foothills of one of Spain’s most beautiful national parks, it is a beautiful white washed Moorish hill village, with a maze of clean cobbled streets, very quiet and relaxing, with ample choice of restaurants, boutiques and village shops for supplies. There are fabulous beaches only a 10 minutes drive away in the nearby vibrant town of Nerja.

Notes on accommodation: This is our family holiday home and we have taken great care to make it as comfortable as possible for our guests to have an enjoyable holiday. No smoking is allowed in this accommodation. The TV picks up the main UK terrestrial TV channels, we have a DVD player. Parking on street at front of property. Air conditioning is a pay as you go box using €1 coins. Outside: Leading from the apartment via the lounge or bedrooms there is a spacious shaded patio with dining table, 6 chairs and barbecue to relax in the shade by the fountain while dinning. Up stairs on the top terrace a corner seating area and cantilever parasol,coffee table for outside living, gated for security. The patio also has its own lighting to create that perfect evening ambiance. Utility Room: Washing machine, airier, iron and ironing board. Sun parasol, beach/ pool chairs and mats. Cool box. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bed linen, bath towels and tea towels are provided, and the property will be cleaned before you arrive. Other: We have a large cool seating area next to the bedrooms with 2 double sofa beds which can be curtained off to make a third bedroom.

This place had it all location,security, cleanliness, we all really enjoyed our stay at this apartment the nearby pool was well maintained and very clean. Lots of restaurants nearby all very good. Give our thanks to Sarah for a wonderfull stay. Mary Morrison and Party.

An ideal Apartment in Frigiliana

We really enjoyed our stay in Frigiliana. The apartment is well-located on the edge of the old town and the facilities are excellent. Sarah has been most helpful in responding to our queries and the process for picking up the keys and finding the apartment went without a hitch. We enjoyed walking in the area and savouring food at the many restaurants. All in all, an excellent holiday.

Fantastic Apartment

We had a lovely stay in this apartment. Sarah was great to deal with, responding quickly to any queries. The apartment is very spacious and well equipped with everything you will need. It was spotless and very well cared for. The outside terraces offered both shade & sunshine. We used both the pool and the paddle court and found them well maintained. We enjoyed eating out in Frigiliana and wandering around the streets in the evening. We used the municipal pool across the road, just a 2 minute walk which the children loved. Although parking was busy at times we always managed to get parked in front of the apartments. The beaches at Nerja are just a 10 minute drive away along with some bigger supermarkets. We hope to return next year.

A lovely, private apartment in a stunning character Spanish village

We have had a fantastic holiday in Frgiliana. Much to explore along the coast and village.The apartment was very clean and well equipped - lovely cotten linen on the beds - always a plus.The outside space was particulary lovely with a lovely combination of shade and evening sun. Great variety of restaurants in the village to suit all budgets. A great base to explore inland Spain . Next time intend to make a trip to Granada and explore the Sierra Nevada.Thank you

Fabulous and Great Location

Our stay here was fantastic - loved the apartment and the surrounding village of Frigliana. The apartment has everything you need - just bring your clothes (oh and you will need beach towels too). The restaurants which are all walking distance serve fabulous food and affordable prices. One top tip would be to make sure you have the keys with you before you shut any of the sliding doors as we managed to get locked out twice! (problem solved quickly by the managing agents). All in all we will definitely be back!

We bought this apartment two years ago to holiday as a couple and with our family of older teenage children. It works on all fronts as a quiet relaxing bolt hole for us as a couple and also has enough going on to be a hit with the children when we're all there.

Why Sarah Cawthray chose Frigiliana

We searched Spain for the ideal place to have a holiday home and finally fell in love with Frigiliana. The fantastic climate and the beautiful historic village makes this our favourite place to relax.

What makes this apartment unique

The residential is stunning and the whole family enjoys padle tournaments, the pool and relaxing in the quiet garden of our apartment. Through the village access gate, we are just minutes walk away from a range of cafes and restaurants in the historic centre of Frigiliana to while away an afternoon or beautiful evening sunset. In the summer months our apartment offers a shady area for lunchtime dining on the patio and the apartment benefits as a cool retreat.

We recently visited in April and enjoyed a fantastic day skiing in Sierra Nevada - abundant snow and glorious sunshine!

In the nearby beach town resort of Nerja (6 km) is 10 minutes by car or local bus ( 1 Euro hourly service in high season)


Malaga Airport is 60 kilometres away on a direct motorway link, approx. 45 mins drive. Local & regional public transport is reliable and cheap. Car hire is advisable for more independent travel/exploration of the wider Andalusia area.


Two minute walk to the historic village for grocerys and craft shops, bank, chemist, post office, gym, outdoor swimming pool and a wonderful choice of restaurants and bars. There are four large supermarkets in Nerja, and a Lidl is about 5 mins drive away.

Further afield the historic city of Granada home to the majestic Alhambra takes 50 minutes by car. Sierra Nevada is 30 minutes from Granada where you can ski late in the season on the south facing slopes of this popular ski resort.

Further Details:

Frigiliana is located just 6 kilometres inland north of Nerja and lies at an altitude of 435 metres. Situated in the foothills of the Sierra Almijara mountain range, Frigiliana is an extremely pretty village which has received several awards for conservation and beauty. It enjoys spectacular countryside as well as wonderful sea views and good access to the coast. The population is around 3,000.

The village is a tangle of narrow cobbled streets lined by whitewashed houses, their wrought-iron balconies filled with planters of brilliant red geraniums. Small plazas provide shady seating while the village bars are popular with visitors who come here to taste the locally produced wine. There are also several excellent shops selling pottery and ceramics, including decorative plates with their distinctive Arab design. Frigiliana is best explored by foot.

Due to its unrivalled charm Frigiliana attracts a vast number of tourists during the summer months. Sunny summer days can be spent enjoying a light refreshment in one of its numerous bars and cafes, taking in the sights of some of its enduring processions and fiestas or exploring the area by taking a walk through olive groves, avocado plantations and lines of almond trees.

Changeover Day:
There is no preferred change over date - we are very flexible and understand that flight costs are your biggest concern and will do our best to accommodate you.

The prices shown are per week, if you require more or less than 7 nights please email or telephone and we can confirm available dates, and the exact rates. We always try to be flexible and accommodate your needs. Rentals include all linen, towels and electric. ( air-con 2 Euros per hour )

  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
