Gorgeous seaside family home, sleeps 10 in 5 bedrooms, private parking, WiFi

Cornwall Cottage has been loved by four generations of our family - we have many happy memories of holidays spent in the beautiful village of Seaview. The cottage is comfortable, cosy and child friendly, it is the perfect base for a seaside holiday - beaches, boating, biking, bucket and spade, crabbing, eating, exploring, fishing, pubbing, riding, stone skimming, swimming, sitting in the sun, ship spotting, shrimping and walking are some of the things we love to do when we are here.

Cornwall Cottage is one of the oldest houses in the conservation area of charming Seaview village. The proportions of the rooms are what you would expect of an 1860s cottage. The result is that it is extremely cosy, especially when lighting the fire on colder days. The garden to the front allows plenty of space for whiling away sunny days or mucking about with the kids on the lawn. The nearest beaches, pubs and restaurants are a 400m wander through the characterful narrow streets.

Within the cottage there is a large bathroom downstairs with a bath and shower over, WC and basin and then upstairs a shower room with WC and basin. Downstairs there is a separate WC and each bedroom also has it's own basin meaning that the bathrooms don't get too congested!

The Kitchen has all mod cons including an induction hob and large double door fridge freezer.

There are two separate seating areas both of which now have smart TV's which can connect to a strong and stable internet connection.

The sleeping arrangements are made up of two double bedrooms and two twin bedrooms upstairs and a twin bedroom downstairs.

For those of you with younger ones, there is a travel cot and high chair available.DISCOUNTED FOR SMALLER PARTIES :

A Lovely Family Break

Cornwall Cottage is a beautiful property with lots of space and wonderful views of the Solent. Although there is little to do over a week in Seaview, you are well situated to visit places of interest nearby. It is also only a 5 minute drive to the Ryde Tesco superstore. Our family (3 adults and one child plus dog) had a relaxing week and the cottage provided everything we could need for cooking/ cleaning etc. Clear and thorough instructions for using the house and facilities were provided and we would thoroughly recommend a stay here.

Great family house.

The cottage is obviously loved and used by the owners, so everything is well thought through. It is on a hill in the heart of Seaview so you can walk to the hotels and restaurants. The only thing which might be considered is to fell the conifer at the back as it shades the outside table.

Travel:

To get to the Isle of Wight you need to take a ferry from the South of England, only 67 miles from London! Car ferries: Wightlink (Portsmouth to Fishbourne or Lymington to Yarmouth); Red Funnel (Southampton to East Cowes). Other forms of transport include Hovertravel, foot passengers only (Southsea to Ryde), Wightlink catarman, foot passengers only (Portsmouth to Ryde) and Red Jet (Southampton to Cowes). There is a small private airport at Bembridge and Sandown.
