Great Character with a cozy & atmospheric aura

  • 4 of 5

The property oozes character, is ideally situated for anyone wanting to enjoying Ditching and the local area with plenty to see and do all within walking distance.

The owner makes you feel very welcomed right from the start and is A1 with her communication.

The kitchen has all you need to get by, all clean and tidy,a very comfy double bed, effective heating system and the downstairs bathroom provides adventure for a visit in the "wee" small hours.

There is a little road noise as you are right on Ditching High Street but don't let that put you off as the benefits of the location outweigh.

Enjoyable stay and will be likely to go back...

Good value and decent quality food at The White Horse Pub in the town, however if you want to do something really special try the Jolly Sportsman at East Chilington, totally out in the sticks but worthy of a Michelin Star in my opinion......

Little cotage, big locatio

  • 4 of 5

The property is a beautiful historic terraced cottage situated on the main road through Ditchling. It's well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. We really enjoyed the patio garden with table and chairs . It's a great location for walking and accessing Brighton or the other beaches. We tried out all the pubs and cafe's in the village and can vouch for them all being very good. Our favourite was the Ditchling Tea Room. The Ditchling museum was very interesting. Michelle the owner was very helpful.

Great for Bloomsbury

  • 4 of 5

This property is as it says on the web site. It was conveniently sited for our visits to "Bloomsbury" properties - Charleston, Monks House Sissinghurst etc and central in the picturesque village of Ditchling. Michelle was a friendly and helpful host. We had a wonderful week.

Delightful, cosy and great location

  • 5 of 5

We had the cottage as a base for our daughter's wedding in nearby Plumpton and couldn't of asked for anything better. The cottage was delightful, cosy and a great location. Great little corner shops, including a bakery - we had a supper at the White Horse, - fabulous food. Cottage has everything you need (except a chef!) - we didn't want to leave. Michelle, the owner, was especially nice and a great help - nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely recommend this beautiful, cute little cottage.

A charming little cottage in a great location for looking round Sussex.

  • 5 of 5

The property was very clean and generally well equipped. It is on the main street in Ditchling so you do get a few cars going by, but we didn't really notice when inside. Parking is in the village car park (a couple of mins away) as the road is very narrow by the cottage, but we had no problems parking there. Five of us, (two adults + three children) stayed and the cottage was just right, size-wise. Although Michelle the owner was on holiday when we were there, she left very clear instructions for key pick up (local pub), and gave us an emergency contact. She also emailed to make sure everything was alright when we were there. Ditchling is a sweet little village with a few village shops, pubs etc. We found it ideal as a base visiting the pretty town of Lewes, Ditchling Beacon (great views and walks); Pevensey Castle/Bay and Eastbourne for fish & chips. I would stay in the property again.
