Sandilands Sleeps 6 (3 Bedrooms)

Sandilands sleeps 6 adults but can also accommodate a cot in Bedroom 2 and is available on a Friday to Friday basis.

Sandilands offers a huge tastefully furnished 9 metre lounge/dining room with double doors opening on to a balcony overlooking the beach with steps down to the garden. A similar view is obtained from bedroom 1 with en-suite shower, toilet and twin basins. Bedroom 2 has an en-suite shower, toilet and basin with it’s own sun lounge overlooking the sea to the south. Both these bedrooms have king-size beds, which can be converted into singles upon request. Bedroom 3 comprises of 2 single beds adjoining a luxury bathroom.

Finally the spacious accommodation is completed by a large kitchen/diner with a door to the garden. The kitchen includes a built in hob, double oven & microwave, large fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer.

About the property


Sea Meads is a small and secluded private estate overlooking Mounts Bay, situated towards the eastern end of Praa Sands.

Sol-mer, Sunwave, Seahorses & Sunraker are well-designed modern house; it is sunny with attractive south facing elevations and a private garden. The interior is well furnished and equipped for a comfortable holiday. Sol-mer is double-glazed. On the ground floor, to one side of the entrance hall is a spacious lounge, 22′ by 12′, with large windows and a sliding patio door to the terrace. At the rear the dining area is connected to the kitchen by a serving hatch. On the other side of the hall there is a twin bedded room with an en-suite bathroom and toilet, and a small room fitted with a double bunk unit. Access to the bunk room is via the downstairs twin. There is an airing cupboard with built-in cloaks and storage cupboards in the hall. Upstairs are two large bedrooms, one double and one twin, and an additional bathroom with bath, separate shower and toilet. Both bathrooms are fitted with a heated towel rail and an additional wall heater. Both bedrooms have sliding patio doors opening onto a small balcony with lovely sea views.

Carol Crow is the manager & lives in Sea Meads Lodge with her dog Skye.

Shane is our Maintenance Manager and can be found somewhere on site!

Naomi is in the office at the other end of the phone or computer!

Booking Notes:
A deposit of a third is payable at the time of booking, by cheque or online transfer, with the balance due 8 weeks before the start of the booking unless there is less than 8 weeks in which case the whole amount is payable.

Changeover Day:
Sandilands & Solmer are Friday to Friday changeovers, Fourwinds & Sunraker are Saturday to Saturday.

Sea Meads Sandilands

Location is great. Lots to see locally, central to lots of facilities and a lovely view from the house. The house was perfect for 3 couples and with good amenities.

Communication with the owner was good,clear and efficient and the property was in excellent condition.

I did not see in any communication, however, that the electricity runs off a meter which was inconvenient and a bit disappointing as we did not start the stay with the necessary coinage in hand. I can understand its use for heating but I think that metered electricity for showers and cooking a bit unnecessary in a property of that quality. That being said, if we had known about it beforehand we may have felt better about it.

All in all though, we thought the property was great and thank the owners for their consideration.

The beach is at the bottom of Sandilands & Fourwinds garden although there is no direct access. The beach is a five minute walk.


Praa Sands village is a 5 minute walk. Penzance is 8.7 miles, Marazion is 4.4 miles, Helston is 6 miles & the beautiful harbour town of Porthleven is 5 miles.

Further Details:

We are right on the South West Coast Path with stunning walks to Landsend & the Lizard right on our doorstep.

  • Outside: All houses have enclosed gardens with outdoor furniture. Electricity Coin Meters Whilst we realise these aren’t popular we use them because we don’t feel that the light users should be penalised by the heavy users. If we didn’t use them we would have to raise the tariff to cover the costs; we keep our tariff down by using the meters. Sea Meads makes no revenue from the meters, each meter is calibrated to the tariff set by the electricity provider, and therefore you only pay for what you use. Sea Meads pays for the heating.
