Booking for 2017! Extensive Foot And Bicycle Paths And Pets Accepted

This is one of four recently converted barns and are available for holiday letting all year round. They are located on a quiet farm near the village of Shorwell on the Isle of Wight. They each have their individual features having previously been working barns but now have been sympathetically converted to offer bright and comfortable accommodation to guests visiting the Island all year round.

Each has off street parking and a private garden. Dogs are welcome (other pets on a discretionary basis). There is parking adjacent to the cottage and lots of outside space, ideal for children to run around, in safety.

From the barns there is extensive access to footpaths, cycle paths and bridleways and it is only five minutes drive from the sea. There are great walks to the picturesque villages of Shorwell and Godshill. The idyllic village of Shorwell has old thatched cottages and a lovely church that dates back to the reign of Edward III. This is a beautiful part of the Isle of Wight with lots of quiet coves, pubs and local tourist attractions to discover.

To book we require a 30% non refundable deposit with £25 admin fee to secure your holiday, the balance + £150 refundable breakages deposit is then due 8 weeks prior to your arrival. If booking withing 8 weeks we require the full balance.

The cottage is a converted milking palour with all the rooms on one level and has been built with limited mobility user in mind. There is one double bedroom and one twin room, both with en-suite bathrooms (one bathroom is accessibility adapted with grab rails). Underfloor heating throughout keep your toes warm during winter visits.The newly fitted kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. The comfy sitting room has a wood burning stove and a television and there is also a door opening onto the garden that can be opened to let in the evening sun. There is a private lawned area to enjoy meals al fresco and to the front is private parking. Dogs are welcome (other pets on a discretionary basis). There is parking adjacent to the cottage and lots of outside space, ideal for children to run around, in safety.

Lovely country stay

Lovely converted barn in a perfect rural location. Stayed here for 4 nights with our 2 children age 3 and 7. There is a lovely little garden which is fenced off so the children can play safely or look over the fence at the pigs. The decor is modern and clean. Best nights sleep I've had in ages. Watch out for the smoke alarm though, to say its loud is an understatement. The barn is located a few minutes drive from a lovely pub. Very ideal and peaceful, would definitely stay here again.

The stunning coastline of the Isle of Wight is only 5 mins drive from this rural idle.

Travel:

To get to the Isle of Wight you need to take a ferry from the South of England, only 67 miles from London! Car ferries: Wightlink (Portsmouth to Fishbourne or Lymington to Yarmouth); Red Funnel (Southampton to East Cowes). Other forms of transport include Hovertravel, foot passengers only (Southsea to Ryde), Wightlink catarman, foot passengers only (Portsmouth to Ryde) and Red Jet (Southampton to Cowes). There is a small private airport at Bembridge and Sandown.

Distances:

Shorwell is very close and is a pretty village with lovely village pub. There are plenty of good restaurants and pubs on the Island and things for everyone to do!
