Own private entrance leading to hallway, leading to a large lounge/dining room, which contains a table and four chairs, Welsh dresser, two seater leather settee, television and DVD player, bureau with lots of local information, games, DVD's, books and CD's.

1 large bedroom with double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside cabinets, CD player and mirror.

Fully fitted kitchen with electric cooker, oven and grill, Microwave, fridge, washing machine and well-equipped with essential cooking equipment.

Bathroom with bath, electric shower, wash basin and wc.

The property is advertised for two but a cot is available if required.

There is parking on your own private drive for one vehicle.

A small patio area with table and four chairs for alfresco dining.

The gardens of the bungalow and owners property are delightful.

At the end of the lane is a cider tasting shed where the famous Lulworth Skipper cider can be sampled and purchased.

About the Owner

The property is owned by Phil and Jackie. Jackie is employed full time by a charity in Bournemouth so the day to day running of both properties is done by Phil.

Phil was a Policeman in London and Dorset retiring in 2003.

They purchased the property in 2015 having lived most of their lives in Poole and Christchurch as they wanted to move to a more rural location.

Phil will be around a lot of the time to deal with any queries you may have but will be unobtrusive and has instructions to leave you alone as he does love to talk.

Perfect few days away!

Photos do not do the property justice. Furnished to a high standard and had a lovely welcome when we arrived. Visited many attractions near by such as Oceanarium and The Heavy Horse Centre, Monkey World is a must visit! Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Thanks for a very relaxing stay. The space was great and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Nice touch to have fresh eggs and bacon in the fridge for our first breakfast!! Highly recommend this accomodation. Thanks again.

Pleasant stay in a peaceful self-contained bungalow.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this comfortable bungalow. The area was rural and well placed, within easy reach of Poole and many other attractions such as Kingston Lacey. Our host, Phillip, was very friendly and helpful and recommended places to eat locally. He also provided a welcome breakfast package, including eggs from his own hens. The property was clean and well maintained with its own off road parking space. The only slight downside was the unreliable broadband access, especially in the evening. All in all, this was a property we would be very happy to stay in again and to recommend to our friends.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your kind words. Unfortunately the broadband is not the quickest and not as reliable as one would expect from BT. However this is mainly due to the rural aspect of the property and one we accecpt to be able t live in such lovely surroundings.

Great spacious comfortable bungalow in a great location

We had a very comfortable stay in this very clean and spacious bungalow. It was also ideal for our little 7 month old girl with the cot and the bouncer. Philip was very welcoming and it was nice to meet Jackie too when she offered us a high chair as well. It was a lovely surprise and treat to have all the breakfast things too. It is in a lovely quiet rural location but near a lot of places to visit, we went to Corfe Castle, Swanage and on the steam trains, Lulworth Cove, Bournemouth, Kingston Lacy, and of course Monkey World which was on the doorstep, just wish we had more time to do more things! Couldn't have asked for more and would highly recommend to friends and family and will be the first place on our list to stay when hopefully we go to Dorset again. Thank you very much!

Lovely well equipped and spacious cottage .

Would really recommend staying at this one bedroomed cottage on the outskirts of Bere Regis. The central rural location made it perfect for exploring the very attractive area. Phillip was always available and helpful: quickly replying to emails, giving restaurant advise and genuinely a very friendly guy. The photos on the website don't do the cottage justice - it is very spacious with good quality furniture, a superbly equipped kitchen and modern bathroom fittings. There is a superb stock of DVD's, plenty of hooks for hanging clothes as well as good clothes storage space. Above all it is exceptionally clean. The bungalow is in a rural position so have some basic food items with you on arrival. We really appreciated the breakfast goodies that were left.

From the Owner

Phil and Jackie purchased this property in 2015. They first looked over the property in the summer of 2014 and fell in love with it at first sight. The gardens are a delight to behold. They both love Dorset and although well travelled they consider this area one of the most beautiful in the country. The Dorset countryside and coastline must be one of the best in England. The property to let is joined to the owners property but has its own private access and driveway. The previous owners use to let the property on Owners Direct and after careful consideration Phil and Jackie have decided to do the same. Although very rural with its peace and quiet it is only a short drive to the towns of Bournemouth, Poole, Dorchester and Weymouth and there vibrant communities.

We are a very short distance from Bovington Tank museum, as well as one of the largest ape rescue centres in the world, Monkey World; also known for its TV series Monkey Life!

We are also on the doorstep of the famous Jurassic Coast and Purbeck Hills, where you will see miles of stunning coastline. The nearest beach is Lulworth Cove, a short 15 minute drive. The bungalow is close to Studland with its beautiful beaches, where you will also have private access to the owners large beach hut. You will be staying within half an hours drive of the towns of Poole, Bournemouth, Dorchester and Weymouth, which all hold regular tourist events such as the Bournemouth Air Festival. The local area is home of the famous writer Thomas Hardy. You may also see the coastlines featured in the recent Poldark series! A delightful area to stay for walkers, golfers and fisherman, and then, to relax and unwind you can stop off at one of the many authentic country pubs with real ales and culinary delights.

From the Owner

Lilac Lea is a very comfortable large one bedroomed property. Situated in a rural area but just a short distance from the village of Bere Regis with the Wareham forest on its doorstep and the Purbeck Hills and South West Costal Path just a short drive away. Deer are often seen in the fields opposite the property and birdlife is abundant. 2015 is the first year that a pair of House Martins have built their nest in the apex roof of Lilac lea. The local Robins will feed out of your hands when they get used to you. A beach hut at Middle Beach, Studland is also available for your use during your stay at no extra cost.
