Fantastic stone contemporary barn conversion with its own private pool. It is very modern inside and exceptionally well equipped with everything you may need. You enter the barn upstairs, walking over a drawbridge to the open planned living area and kitchen. The kitchin has stainless steel freestanding units, masses of cupboard space and a very large dining table which can accommodate over 8 people. The living area is very large with plenty of comfortable seating. The large television receives all English free view channels and more.

Stairs lead downstairs to the bedrooms, all with doors that open out onto the pool terrace, and where you have a view of the treetops below. The master bedroom is large and has an gorgeous ensuite shower room. There are two further bedroom , one with 2 single beds, the other with a kingsize double. There is a family bathroom and a utility room that leads out from it. The utility room has a washer dryer, iron and ironing board and all cleaning products that may be needed.

Outside there is a large terrace with a 10m by 5m private swimming pool. This is newly built and has 3 deep steps leading down to a 1.5m pool. There are ample sun loungers and seats available to enjoy this very sunny terrace. On a higher terrace there is a dining area with plenty of seating for all. There is a gas BBQ also available. A covered barn provides storage for all garden equipment.

Perfect Downtime Guaranteed!

From the very first contact with owners Sarah and Richard online through to our arrival at "Haute Terre" our experience was warm, genuine and friendly. Every detail has been thoughtfully organised so we knew exactly how to get to the property and find supermarkets, local shops and more. Haute Terre itself is very tastefully and comfortably furnished and so spacious it truly felt for the week we were there, like a "Home away from Home". The Pool was a welcome relief after the fabulous sunshine and hours spent lazing around the pool getting the best tan I've had in years! We made full use of the BBQ and dined outside frequently... It's location is superb and we made two day trips to Cahors and to Saint Circ Lapopie, we could have done so much more but I found it hard to drag myself away from what was the most relaxing/de-stressing holiday ever! I can't wait to come back and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone. Thanks again Sarah and Richard for a fabulous summer idyll! Janine, Ant, Ingrid and Belle x

Perfect holiday!

All you need for a wonderful holiday: the house, the pool, the surroundings, everything was just perfect!

We are a family of five spending two weeks at Haute Terres, and we all loved it. There is so much to see

and to do in the region, or just relax at the house. You cannot ask for more! We will love to come back.

A fantastic place for rest and relaxation

This property was all it promised to be and more. I would have no hesitation in recommending it. We travelled as a family of 4 including our two sons (20 &16) needing a real break and we were able to unwind and restore ourselves! We had wall to wall sunshine so the pool area was just perfect for us. We had lots of BBQs with delicious food bought at the market in Cahor. Locals shops are a 15 minute drive away where you can get fresh bread, meat, fruit and vegetables. We canoed, walked, swam, star gazed, visited villages and a chateaux. The owners were very helpful and easy to contact.

The property was purchased in France because of the families love of the area. When it's not rented the home is is used by the large extended family.

The uniqueness of the property is what drew the family to it. It was so not what they were thinking of buying, but with one visit, they knew it was the one for them. The openness of the upstairs and the quality of the design, stands out as soon as you enter it. The location is beautiful for walks and the peace and quiet is just what is needed. A pool was built in 2013, making it a fantastic place for a family holiday.

Notes:

  • Outside: Large sun terrace with newly built private pool 5x10 metres and 5ft deep, with full width steps which have been designed with enough depth to allow you to sit on them in comfort, and makes for easy entry and exit. The pool has an electric safety cover, when not in use. At the end of the sun terrace is a rough mown lawn with a number of fruit, olive and oak trees. The middle terrace has a large outside dining table which is placed in front of an big open barn. A gas BBQ is also based near by. Plenty of seating is provided along with comfortable loungers, and parasols. The top terrace offers parking for up to 2 cars. Utility Room: Washing machine/ tumble dryer Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are included (not pool towels)
