Apartment in Port de Soller, Mallorca, Balearic Islands

Stylish, modern apartment in quiet location yet with direct access from the terrace, via steps, directly into the heart of Santa Catalina village with its restaurants, shops and beaches. From the private terrace there are panoramic views of the harbour and the mountains. Unusually for this area, the apartment offers private parking (very important in the summer months).

One bedroom, with kingsize bed, opens directly on to the terrace, second bedroom has two single beds. Two bathrooms, air conditioning/heating, wi-fi and tv.

Please note that the downside of the fantastic views is that there are steps involved in accessing the apartment and it therefore may not be suitable for those with mobility issues.

NEW FOR 2017: unlimited high speed fibre internet and internet tv with a wide range of UK channels and also some German, Italian and Spanish channels.

We first visited Port de Soller over 10 years ago and instantly fell in love with it. We have travelled round the world but Port de Soller is the only place that we have wanted to repeatedly revisit.

Eventually we decided to buy a property which we are now pleased to share with you. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

We absolutely LOVVVED this apartment! It had everything we needed and even the things we didn't even think about or didn't have room to bring (Blow-up rafts, beach towels, beach umbrellas, and even binoculars to look over the bay from the balcony). There's an A/C unit in each room and the living room that is sure to keep the Wife and kids complaining that "it's too cold in here", if you like to keep it chilly.

Note: There is a ridiculous €5.10 (1.8 mile) tunnel charge just outside of Port Soller each way, so if you plan on traveling to different parts of the island, keep that in mind because it adds up.

However, Port Soller is by far one of the most beautiful places we have visited and well worth it. Explore the high roads outside of the Port to get some good views of the sunsets! If you leave the apartment and drive UP the hill until you get to "Nautics" Restaurant (I believe is the name), veer left down a short dirt road to the cliff with an unobstructed sunset view. The other view is from Far Es Cap Gros on the adjacent cliff running into the inlet of the Port (The BEST sunset view of the two).

Cheryl was so friendly and helpful and she had a hand drawn map ready for us with HER favourite restaurants to visit. The best restaurant we experienced there on her recommendation was Es Reco on the beach, just a short walk around to the other side of the bay...Go there if you have a chance! On the easy walk back to the apartment, just before crossing the walking bridge that goes over the inlet, be sure to get your Gelato Ice Creams from The Beach House Ice Cream shop for €1.30/scoop...Sooo GOOD, we got them every night! There isn't one thing we would've changed (well, except for the above mentioned ridiculous tunnel tolls).

Perfect position above quay. Ample room to sit out and enjoy the view and sunshine. Lovely to wake up to the morning sun, but shaded in the afternoon heat, perfect.

Five minutes walk down to the restaurants and bars, perfect.

Clean, spacious, comfortable, and well equipped apartment, with WiFi and British TV, again, perfect.

Helpfull and friendly Cheryl who welcomed us, and was on hand in event of any questions or problems, thankfully there were none, other than getting the TV functioning so we could keep up with the tennis in Paris.

All perfect, and will definitely return.

Great apartment with a great view. Comfortable and well-equipped - and UK TV! 77 steps down to the nearby road no problem as we are walkers. Recommend booking early in your stay at the Kingfisher, we didn't and couldn't get in. Highly recommend eating at El Sabor,we've been going there for years. Also enjoyed eating at the Red Fort (excellent Indian cuisine), Es Raco, Pirata, and the beach bars across the bay. Do try some hillwalking if you are up to it.

Stunning views of a beautiful town/harbour/bay and a very comfortable apartment

We have just returned from a 5 day break staying at this apartment.From the moment we arrived and were shown around the property by Cheryl, we had a really great time.The apartment had all we needed (and more !) , the beds were comfortable and we spent a ridiculous amount of time on the lovely balcony (even when it chilled off in the early April evenings) .A bit of a routine developed with a morning walk around the bay followed by a coffee then we would go out for the day to see some of the beautiful scenery/hilltop towns/bays all within a short drive , before returning for more sun on the balcony.We would then go off and sample the excellent restaurants ( Nu Nu was our favourite) with a precursor of Gin and Tonics /Cocktails watching the sun set across the bay.Our first visit to Mallorca having travelled extensively around Europe - can't believe it's taken us 50 years before coming here !!Thank you for a lovely stay.

A fantastic modern and stylish apartment that has everything you need including a wonderful kitchen. A local contact is always available and very helpful. Property accessed by numerous steps but as a result the view is amazing - highly recommend.

The nearest beach is within 5 minutes walk. Further beaches are an easy walk around the bay. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available.


Travel to Palma de Mallorca and arrive by taxi, public transport or rental car.

It is possible to enjoy a holiday in Port de Soller without a car as local transport is available and there is much to see in the local area. The tram to Soller is just below the apartment (you can even watch it coming round the bay and be at the tram station in time to catch it!). However, use of a car will extend the areas that you can explore.

Further Details:

Local supermarkets, shops and banks are very close. There is a local market in Port de Soller on Thursdays and a visit to Soller on market day (Saturday) is a 'must'.

The Soller valley is a fantastic place for walking and cycling holidays, particularly in the Spring and Autumn.
