Guestbook comments from the owner
Everything about the Old Millhouse was just perfect for a multi generation family holiday, the location made it the ideal base for visits to Edinburgh and the surrounding coastal beauty spots.
The babies loved the outdoor space where they were amused Sally's chickens, and the huge garden provided the ideal place to let off steam before settling in for cosy dining and a proper family evening together.
The house is on three floors which we found to be an advantage as we all had plenty of room to spread out and have some quiet time, or not feel cramped if we wanted to be all together cooking in the family kitchen or relaxing in either of the two sitting rooms.
Everywhere was stylishly furnished to an exceptional standard well above the norm for a rental property. This is truly a home from home experience which we have recommended to other families who appreciate nice things.

Excellent property, perfect for our needs. It is very well designed, maintained and equipped. Sally is delightful and ensured we had the perfect stay, with help about transport, food, the locality etc. She rang taxi firms on our behalf : little extras like that made it all so easy for us and a great stay. Thank you

“The 1703 Old Millhouse was a complete renovation project, the house had been abandoned and was on the Historic danger list my partner and I have painstakingly restored this stunning property . Its location is quite unique being in the centre of a town but with 3.5 acres of tranquil gardens and River frontage.”
