Brand New Ajoining Cottages -Ten minutes from York

Two linked cottages with seating and dining fof 14 + in one room means they are perfect for a celebration whilst allowing privacy when necesarry. The cottages are newly built for 2015 . The cottages are light, airy and spacious, with huge living and dining rooms meals can be cooked, served at the banquetting table and enjoyed by everyone in one cottage. There are six large sofas (with fluffy blankets) to snuggle up in and everyone can sit together in one cottage to chat, drink wine and socialise. However with a short ten minute drive into York the house is perfectly located for enjoying the shops, bars and restaurants of York City Centre . Buses every 20 minutes to York City Centre. Bus stop outside property.

About the Owner

Myself and my family have owned this site since 1999. It was run as a hotel for a number of years until we recently gained permission to build a series of purpose built holiday cottages. We have been very hands on and have been involved in every aspect of the build. We are also a Farming Family and are lucky enough to own some beautiful land nearby with great scenery and wildlife. We are proud of our local area and our holiday cottages. We hope you will enjoy your stay and we will do our very best to make sure that you enjoy all our lovely local area has to offer.

We had a great stay from the 1st of May until the 4th. We travelled into York on the first day, Beverly the second and explored the Wolds on the Third. What a lovely area, lots to do and the access of the cottage was great, the cottage was very clean and well maintained, the family were very friendly and pointed us in the right direction for a lovely local pub meal. Would definately recommend to friends and family

Great Cottages, Good Access to York

We used the cottages for a trip to York Race course. The houses were as described, bright clean and airy. The journey to the racecourse took around fifteen to twenty minutes by car. Very straight forward. We were made to feel very welcome and given lots of area info. Thankyou. T

Its a shame you didnt mention this when you stayed. We have many spare items in the office that we would have been glad to bring them over. We also had an available cottage on site and would have been able to upgrade you if you had mentioned anything whilst you were staying. A new and very clean house, with superb spacious living area.

We had a super stay in this house, which was exceptionally clean and the owners had ensured it was warm and lights were left on for our late arrival. The downstairs living area was large and spacious, with two well equipped bathrooms. The upstairs area and bedrooms were a little smaller than expected. Generally well equipped, although we missed a dishwasher and a coffee machine or just cafetière would have been lovely. A few larger pans and a little more equipment, like chopping boards would be useful for longer stays.

The properties are brand-new / newly refurbished and purpose built, They are light and airy. All have been designed to be spacious and perfect for families and friends socialising. Our cottages have a quirky cosy cottage feel upstairs making them a snug rural retreat for all ages, Our houses have a luxury boutique hotel feel with kingsized ensuite rooms and luxury facilities. Our Barn Conversion has been converted sympathetically to retain gorgeous original features. The pretty countryside area of Wilberfoss, East of York is perfect for great access to York via bus or car which is only a short 15 minute journey.

This purpose built luxury holiday let combines a mixture of modern open plan living downstairs with a quirky cottage feel.

The Coachhouse Cottages have been built within the grounds of a former 18th century Coachhouse. The Old Coachhouse has been owned by myself and my family since 1999.

Milestone Cottage has three bedrooms which are designed to be cosy and homely which makes them perfect for a couple on a romantic break, however with open plan living room and kitchen diner the home is perfect for groups who want to eat and drink together in one large space.

The Old Coachhouse is a large luxury home with 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Suited to groups & large families.

Currantberry Cottage out Barn Conversion is adjacent to the main complex and is a gorgeous single storey bar, with original wood features and low ceilings it is super cosy whilst being a large space perfects for groups and large families.

The properties will suit anyone who would like a mix of a countryside setting with close access to city amenities. York is a ten minute drive away, however our local Village and Town boasts Stunning Walks, Fantastic Farm Shops & Cafe Bars.

We are situated opposite a Yorkshire Wildlife Trust nature walk and have a local Pub Restaurant 30 metres away. The local bus stop is also 30 metres away and is a direct route to York, Beverly, Hull and also the wonderful, east coast town of Bridlington.

We are close to the Pocklington Arts Centre where regular Music Artists appear. The centre is also home to a Cinema and they hold monthly Comedy Club Nights. Pocklington Gliding Club is also 5 minutes drive.

Also closeby are Golf Clubs such as The Oaks and Allerthorpe Park. Canal Boat rides are on offer at The Pocklington Canal, and also Attractions such as The Elvington Air Museum &. Burnby Hall Gardens are within 5 minutes drive. We also have Watersport Activity Centre nearby called Allerthorpe Lakeland Park. Secure Gated Development. Countryside setting for a relaxing holiday whilst being close to York, the Yorkshire Wolds, Moors, Dales & the Yorkshire Coast. Mixture of holiday accommodation to suit all types. We also have our own 2 acre activity field which you may use for outdoor activites and events. Please note you will need to supply your own logs for the log burner.
