Apartment in Maubec, Luberon National Park, Vaucluse, Provence-Alpes-Cote DAzur, France - Peaceful Location With Lovely Views Of The Luberon

L'Oustalado is a light and spacious apartment with the entrance being reached by a short stairway to the side of the building which leads on to a balcony.

The accommodation is on the first floor and comprises two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other twin beds, a large lounge/dining room, kitchen, shower room and separate toilet. All rooms have lovely views of the Luberon or of the old village of Maubec.

The property has a beautiful south facing secluded garden which has a shady al fresco eating area as well as a private swimming pool. The walled garden is secure making it difficult for pets and children to wander off and also has parking for up to two cars.

The property is located at the edge of the old town of Maubec and is two minutes walk from the woods of the Luberon making it perfectly situated for a walking or cycling holiday with cycle routes and treks being located close by.

There are two delightful restaurants, a bar, two bakeries and a shop within ten minutes walk and nearby Coustellet has a wonderful farmers market every Sunday where, amongst other things, local farm produce can be purchased.

Although we feel that the property is ideally suited for 4 people there is a double sofa bed in the lounge which can be used if required to accommodate a further 2 people. We also have 2 travel cots at the property that visitors with young children are welcome to use.

We are an English couple that fell in love with the Luberon valley while on holiday in the area. This property was perfect for us and our two dogs as it is minutes from some wonderful walks in the wooded hillsides of the Luberon Valley and the secure grounds meant that the dogs could roam free in the garden without being able to escape.

Lovely apartment and location

Having travelled to Avignon on Eurostar, we had an easy car ride from the station to Maubec. Oustalado is a lovely apartment, nice and cool inside, with two very good sized bedrooms and a very 'french' kitchen and comfortable lounge/diner - all very well kitted out. The garden is wonderful too with plenty of shaded parts and a good sized pool - and even some bikes which are great as the area is perfect for cycling. We loved the village which is so peaceful, but with also a lot to do. The local restaurant in the Old Town must be visited as the cuisine is divine and brilliant value. There is a little cinema and also a mountain to climb and lots of lovely walks and places to visit nearby too. We are looking forward to our next visit.

We decided to buy this apartment because of the peaceful location, the suitability of the grounds for our 2 dogs and the delightful walks within minutes of our front door.

Activity and Interests

Car: recommended


Avignon Airport is 25 minutes away whilst Marseille and Nimes airports are around 1 Hour and 1 hour 15 minutes respectively.

The property is approximately 20 minutes drive from the A7 motorway making it easy to reach by car.
