Family friendly detached home located in a quiet Portuguese residential area, private pool and enjoying amazing panoramic sea views.

All the magic of Taviras' old riverside town only minutes walk. The villa provides a perfect retreat for families, couples and groups of up to eight people. It is located conveniently for public transport, supermarket, shopping, cinema, restaurants and beautiful white sandy beaches.

The villa occupies approximately 250 m2. All rooms are air conditioned, with four generously appointed double bedrooms all with comfortable beds, and stylish furnishing enjoying panoramic sea views. The light and breezy bedrooms are furnished with king size, double, single beds, table lamps and large wardrobes. Two en-suite bedrooms. The twin bedroom has a flat screen TV.

The cosy stylish living room has deep sumptuous real bespoke leather sofas, extendable dining table for 8-10, flat screen TV with HDMI connections. Full air-conditioning in all rooms and wood burner in the lounge for the cooler months of the year. It has floor to ceiling windows that truly captures the breath taking views. The terrace leading from the lounge and kitchen enjoys the surrounding landscape and sea view making a truly outstanding backdrop.

Our large south facing terrace has the sun all day...Perfect place for breakfast through to dinner, reading or just relaxing soaking up the sun and listening to the birds.

Our home offers indoor and outdoor dining experience to be enjoyed in comfort and style. Indoor, guest can choose to close the doors and enjoy a cooking experience the conventional way in our fully equipped modern kitchen for up to eight people or alfresco dining outdoor using the coal bar-ba-que cooking up some treats.

Internet is accessible throughout the property.

The front gated garden is filled with tropical plants and flowers.

Parking for 4 cars on the drive or front bay.

Splash in the pool or chill under the gazebo, with 8 sun loungers, tables, chairs and out door shower facilities.

The rental price includes linen, towels, electrics, air-condition, wi-fi, high chair and cot.

All doors are fitted with insect screens giving fresh air without unwanted guests.

A security safe has been installed in the property should you wish to use it.

We have always loved travelling to Portugal and fell in love with Tavira for its rustic charm and unique qualities. It has a laid back atmosphere and a simple lifestyle. Taking the boat to Tavira island beach is the highlight for our friends and family. We had the opportunity to buy our first property in Tavira 2005 and have been spending time as well as renting to holiday makers. My family and I spend the winter months here when the villa is free which means it is well maintained and offers a comfortable holiday setting.

Great views, gentle 20 minute walk to the old unspoilt town of Tevira, would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great family base.

Perfect holiday destination for a peaceful relaxing time.

It is the perfect property for a family of 8.my niece and nephew loved the swimming pool much that it was was a struggle to get them out of it each day.the view at night time was very nice indeed.the bbq area beside the pool was perfect for lounging and entertaining.inside the house we had all the facilities that we could of possibly needed.i would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to travel to Tavira.

Lovely villa in beautiful unspoilt location

The villa was very spacious and the rooms beautifully decorated and furnished. Air conditioning in all rooms was very welcome. Villa was clean and regularly serviced (both pool and linen.) The location was in a quiet residential area. Supermarkets were approx. 15 minutes walk from the villa. Main attractions in Tavira are approx 25 minutes walk from the villa. Owners are very easy to communicate with and were extremely accommodating with arrival and departure arrangements. Welcoming and very reasonably priced local bar and also small restaurant (Bulgarian woman owner) about 15 minutes walk from villa.Lovely friendly staff at the Black Anchor in Tavira. Serving delicious food at a very resonable price - highly recommended.

Tavira itself is unspoilt and a delight to walk around. Would love to visit again.

An excellent villa

we stayed here with 2 adults and 5 children it is a great villa which was very tidy. With a lovely pool which the kids spent lots of time in. It is a 2 minute drive the supermaket which was great and had everything. this is a great villa and perhaps we will return

Lovely spacious property with great view

The property has spacious rooms and is well equipped. The outside space is equally good - big balconies and a large terrace with a swimming pool. The villa is in a suburban development which is a very nice area and we found it easy to walk into the centre of Tavira with shops, bars and restaurants all within walking distance. We did not hire a car and found it easy to use local train and bus services to explore the local area e.g. Santa Luzia, Olhao. It is worth going to Ilha de Tavira for the beaches and the seafood restaurants. A really enjoyable relaxing holiday.

Impressive house in great location

After a short drive from the airport we arrived at the impressive property in Tavira, we were very happy. The location is peaceful and the locals are friendly, with the town centre only a pleasant walk away .

The property is spacious all rooms are of good proportions and very well furnished, with a well equipped kitchen containing everything we needed. The on-suite bedrooms with wonderful views of the countryside and sea, are luxuriously decorated with quality furnishings and Portuguese charm and character.

We also enjoyed lounging in the gardens and large outside area’s, with the private pool too it was a delight.

We would not hesitate to recommend this holiday home, which is very comfortable, stylish and a great place to relax, but still close to all local amenities. We will be back !

Family Reunion

My 2 sisters and myself wanted to come to Tavira to spend some time with our cousin, who has a house there. Luckily she knew of Tavira Gardens and when we looked at the details, it looked just the ticket. We were not disappointed when we saw the villa, which is very comfortable with lots of room. There are gardens/patio to the front and rear with exotic (to us!) plants and BBQ facilities. Immediately across the road is a pool and restaurant. It was a bit too cool in April for us to be swimming, but the restaurant was much appreciated. The villa is in a quiet area within a small development.

Although we hired a car we could also walk into Tavira. It took about 15 minutes and if we were tired we got the tuktuk back. Tavira is a wonderful place for pottering, attractive architecture with lots of history, great craft shops and lovely riverside cafes. Generally we spent the mornings there and in the afternoons our cousin took us to different coastal areas - there are many interesting and different ones to explore within easy reach.

It was very relaxing to have the villa to return to when we needed to recharge our batteries. We had so much more space and privacy than in a hotel for all our chatting and laughing.

Salinas de Santa Luzia

The views are simply superb from all the rooms. We love sitting on the terrace, great for breakfast, lunch, dinner or simply enjoying a glass of vino and listening to the swallows or gazing at the sea view. It also has the important quality for us that we can walk into town centre. The house is full of character, bright and spacious. We have named it 'Andorinha casa' because of the swallows nearby.

The nearest beach is a 25 minutes walk or 5 minutes drive 'Forte Rato' beach, it is a small beach inlet where you can swim and sun bathe. There is also a delightful beach island that is only a 5 minutes boat ride from one of the regular cheap ferry rides from Tavira town centre or you can take the quaint tourist train.

Water parks, zoo and Vilamoura marina is 45 minutes drive. The nearest golf course Benamour is 5 minutes drive.

We kindly request 25% non-refundable deposit on reservation, balance payable 8 weeks prior to arrival, together with £250 fully refundable deposit. This deposit is refundable up to 14 days after your stay less the cost of any damage or excessive cleaning. All bank charges and fees with money transfer are payable by the holiday maker.

Changeover Day:
Arrival and departure dates are fully flexible. Normally access is from 2.00 pm and departure is usually about 11.00 am.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds. For long term rentals, from 4 weeks or more we can offer a discount. Please contact the owner.
The use of gas, water, electric and air-conditioning are included in the rental price (excluding long term rentals)
Towel/linen change every 3 days and cleaning every 7 days, more changes and cleaning can be requested and the agent will charge the guest directly.
Arrivals after 18.00 hrs attracts a fee of £20.

Elevated house with great sea views, a few minutes walk into the historic town centre of Tavira. Faro Airport is just 35 minutes drive to the villa...The nearest supermarket is approximately 10 minutes walk. There is a medical centre 15 minutes walk from the property which opens from 8-until midnight in case of an emergency. Our villa faces south with fantastic views of the sea from all the room terraces. Traditional terracotta tiled flooring throughout with insects screens on each door. We can drive to Spain in 30 minutes.
