Well situated close to the ancient walls, this beautifully appointed luxurious apartment provided everything required for a city break. Close to good restaurants and within easy walking distance of most of the city's attractions, Conway Cottage left you wanting for nothing. We were greeted well by the owner Adrian who gave an excellent summary of local attractions and eateries. Our five day stay was made so much better by having made Conway Cottage our choice

Best location, great hospitality and very comfortable

We highly recommend this property if you are a couple and want somewhere special to stay in York! This apartment is just outside the old city walls of York. It's less than 10 minutes' walk to the heart of the city (The Shambles and York Minster etc). There is a supermarket two minutes walk away and slightly further to some good restaurants - we really liked Toto (Italian). We had a car and Adrian the apartment owner, who runs a B&B next door, very kindly made sure we always had a parking space. Access in and out of York is easy if you want to drive off for the day to Fountains Abbey, Castle Howard or Scarborough - as we did.

The apartment itself is lovely, it has a well appointed kitchen, good bathroom, comfortable living room and a beautiful bedroom with a very comfortable bed. Spotless through out. Lots of nice touches to make you feel at home. If you are planning a visit to York just book this place!

A nice apartment steps away from the city walls of York

The apartment was just outside the city walls of York and about a 10 minute walk into the city center. The Barbican Gate was just a couple of minutes walk away along with a large food store. The apartment was clean and well appointed to include new carpets. It had a full kitchen and the internet work flawlessly. The bedroom was large and the bed comfortable. The apartment is off a busy street but we really did not any street noise. Our host was friendly and went out of his way to give us good local restaurant recommendations away from the tourist zone. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the apartment and the people we met in York. My wife and I would recommend staying here again.

Conway Cottage is a totally smoke free environment.
Children over 10 years old are welcome but only two people maximum in our apartment.
Cancellation and Insurance: Once you have booked your stay, we require a 25% deposit, balance due within 60 days of arrival, our agreement is a legal contract.
If you need to cancel please contact us immediately. If we are able to re let the apartment we will refund the balance less admin costs, we suggest travel insurance.
Breakage and Damages
We reserve the right to charge for any breakage or damage to Conway Cottage and its contents, we do not usually charge for small breakages.
Conway Cottage is a totally non smoking establishment, smoking in Conway Cottage will incur a minimum 150GBP charge to your debit/credit card.
