It has two good sized bedrooms, all with original features such as beams and latch doors and one bathroom. The cottage has been recently refurbished and offers bright, airy and comfortable accommodation. It has a small garden to sit and watch village life and is close to a small village green. About Bridget Prusik

We are lucky enough to be the owners of Cats Cottage and are delighted to have given it a a face lift whilst retaining all the original features. We both love Cornwall and the South West and have holidayed and stayed with friends and rented cottages on both the North and South coast. We have recently purchased the house next door to the cottage so are always on hand if people have any queries but make sure holidaymakers are totally private too. We can also offer Complementary Therapies at a discounted rate either in the cottage or in the therapy room in our house next door to the cottage so you can enjoy a relaxing aromatherapy massage, indian head massage or reflexology session during your stay.

Bridget Prusik purchased this cottage in 2015

Why Bridget Prusik chose Port Isaac

We love the area, the people and the location, the spring and autumn are particular favourites when it is less busy and the hedgerows are full of colour and the sunsets are awe inspiring all year. From the cottage you can just walk to the top of the village for the wonderful view to Port Isaac, Tintagel and to the Rumps near Polzeath. It is great for those loving beach life, walkers, bird watchers or those wanting to just get away from it all in a peaceful village location, yet within walking distance of the coastal path and other areas of Cornwall. It is very close to the beach at Polzeath, to the safe beach of Daymer Bay and from Rock you can catch the ferry to Padstow for some local shopping.

What makes this cottage unique

Beams, log burner, suntrap of a garden, hideaway, close to beaches and moors, Complementary Therapies.

Guestbook comments from the manager

Perfect quiet hideaway

  • 5 of 5

Ideal cottage to base your stay in the area. Nice and quiet little hamlet off the main through roads. Just a short walk into Port Isaac, great views. The cottage is just a fantastic hideaway. Top marks to Eddie and Bridget. Many thanks for our delightful week.

Lovely comfortable cottage with lots of character

  • 5 of 5

Although it was very early in the year and the weather was a bit wild and windy we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at cats, It was very warm and welcoming after a day out, It had everything we needed and we enjoyed the evenings snuggled up watching some of the Dvd's,The surrounding area is lovely for a walk and there are plenty of beaches, and lots of places to eat out nearby, Although the kitchen is very well equipped to eat in if preferred, We will be booking it again later in the year.

Just love this little cottage!!!!

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful, cosy, quirky little cottage, full of character and ideally placed for whatever you visit Cornwall for. Whether you're here to surf, play on beaches, explore, long walks with breathtaking and dramatic scenery, or just relaxing, Cats Cottage is ideal.

Wanted a quiet retreat/escape from the madness of London, and certainly found it at Cats. Small but well stocked kitchen with everything you need, lovely open planned living room with beams and log burner (great as we were here over Christmas), books to read, maps, lots of information of where to visit, board games, TV and DVD player.

Both bedrooms are a good size, one with a double bed (very comfortable) and other with 2 singles and as rest of cottage, both with character.

We always looked forward to returning to cottage after spending day exploring, and once our boy went up to bed, we enjoyed just stopping, a little music, log fire burning and a glass or 2 of red wine :)

This was booked nearly last min and the owner was so accommodating and extremely helpful, thank you.

We ***highly recommend*** Cats Cottage, and honestly cannot think of any down sides. We WILL be back!!!!

Purrr...fect!

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely stay at Cats Cottage. A very cosy, very clean and comfortable place for a family holiday. The cake and sweets on our arrival restored a smile after a long car journey too. Lovely little garden to sit in when the sun is out. Well stocked bookshelf with maps, guides, histories etc. Also DVDs and board games for the rainy days [although we didn't need to use them]. The kitchen had everything you'd need and there was a nice big bath to relax in after a hard day at the beach. Easy parking opposite the cottage. Sandcastles and surfing a short drive away at Polzeath. Trelights is perfectly located for walking. Port Quinn and Port Isacc within easy reach. Stunning NT coastline. The church at St Enedoc well worth the pilgrimage. Pastow for shopping/restaurants. Bedruthan NT coastline jaw droppingly beautiful. The Fisherman Friends perform on the quay at Port Isaac most Friday evenings throughout the summer. The perfect way to end a holiday. None of us wanted to come home. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
