House Great Gardens Not !!

  • 3 of 5

Lovely house very well furnished. However we did have a small dog with us and the Gardens were dangerous !!.. Massive sloping site.. I slipped on first day trying to walk up the many slippery slate steps to try and find a small bit of grass for my dog to walk on. Damaged knee requiring GP appointment tomorrow.. Ouch !! Had to walk (hobble) dog on lead everyday down road. As I was very scared to go in the garden after that. .Also not fenced in safely. If you dont have a dog.... or small children... Would defo give it a go.. Good location for shops and lake.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your comments. I am sorry you felt the gardens were not suitable for you and your dog. The property is fenced and gated but not 100% secure if you have a dog that tends to roam. The property is build into the sloping Lake District landscape and subsequently parts of the side and rear gardens are sloping. This area also houses a summerhouse. Unfortunately, when you visited the weather was not too kind and there was heavy rainfall. The patio area to the front of the property is flat and ideal for relaxing or dining. I am happy you enjoyed the house and hope you will return some time in the future.

Very comfortable well equipped home

  • 5 of 5

Great House within walking distance of the Marina. Had great supper in the Boathouse on the first night. House ideally situated for trips around the Lake District.

We were very comfortable and the house was very well equipped to cater for all our needs as a family of 7. Very quiet area.

Would recommend.

The house was lovely and in a great spot

  • 5 of 5

We felt very welcomed on arrival with tea and cake waiting. The house was very clean and well equipped. It is situated in a great position which was really peaceful but close enough to Bowness so we didn't need to use the car very often. The weather was the only thing that wasn't arranged for us but even that was mainly favourable.

Fantastic property.....highly recommend!

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic week long stay here in October. This beautiful property was as described and just perfect for our large family aged between 6 months and 55!! It was very homely, provided everything we needed for our stay and ideally located......we were so lucky with the weather and walked in to Windermere most days. Beverley was most helpful throughout the booking process. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful holiday lodge overlooking Windermere.

  • 5 of 5

Very well equipped holiday home with lovely gardens in beautiful part of the lake district. House suited having 3 teenagers as was spacious and very comfortable. Booking and arranging the holiday was straightforward. Lots to do in Bowness and the surrounding area. We found hiring a boat at Low Wood Bay watersport centre and kayaks at Fell Foot park very good as these were at either end of the lake and were generally quieter. Good selection of shops and restaurants.

We would thoroughly recommend the property to friends or relatives.
