The Snug and Hut are two luxury Shepherds Huts on a working beef and sheep farm providing all the mod cons for a romantic weekend or a self catered family week away and are the latest addition to an already thriving farmhouse bed and breakfast. Situated on one of England's oldest privately owned country estates, close to the Warwickshire/Northamptonshire border they are easily accessible from a number of major road networks. Enjoy the mile long drive and the variety of wildlife along the way and tucked away under the Oaks, the Snug and Hut provide perfect solitude. With stunning views from both windows and large south facing double doors, the Snug is light and airy whilst a woodburner in the corner, keeps you warm and cosy. Wake up in the morning to the sound of uninterrupted bird song and bleating sheep and go to bed at night gazing at the clear starry skies. The Hut is a fully equipped mini kitchen and has all the mod cons necessary for a self catered stay or alternatively enjoy a continental breakfast hamper delivered to your door or take advantage of a basket of Park Farm produce and freshly laid eggs to cook your own delicious breakfast using the facilities in the Hut. In good weather, light up the barbeque and relax around the firepit or simply wile away your time relaxing in the hammock with a good book. If you prefer exploring the area, we are close to the M1, M40 and M6 with Warwick, Stratford upon Avon and the Cotswolds all nearby.

Why Jill Perkin chose Stratford-on-Avon District

I started the bed and breakfast business 3 years ago once the children started to move away from home and the Snug and Hut are our latest addition.

We have two ensuite bed and breakfast rooms in the house which have proved very popular so we decided to expand outside and take advantage of the unique rural landscape in which we live by providing a luxury self catering, glamping experience so that other people could enjoy what we take for granted everyday.

Everyone who visits Park Farm comments on it's fantastic position on an old historic country estate and the peace and tranquility it offers.

What makes this cabin unique

The Snug and Hut we think are very special as we have taken great care to try and provide a luxury experience whilst still keeping in touch with the traditional values of a true back to nature break away. By installing an ensuite bathroom within the hut, memories of previous camping experiences tramping through the undergrowth in the middle of the night for a much needed comfort break are well in the past.

We hope we have thought of everything you might need to create a truly memorable holiday but we are always on hand and happy to help if you need assistance.

Notes on accommodation: The Shepherds huts provide a unique back to nature glamping experience, hence the heating is provided by a woodburner not central heating and it is a TV/Internet free zone ! However, a small radio is provided and WIFI is in the farmhouse if required. We provide an initial supply of logs and if the weather is cool, the woodburner will be lit on your arrival and more logs can be purchased if required. First night suppers can also be purchased for you to heat up on your arrival along with barbeque packs from Park Farm produce and breakfast baskets for you to create your own delicious farmhouse breakfast. A barbeque is provided but we do ask guests to bring their own charcoal. Outside: The Snug and Hut are situated under an avenue of oak trees in an orchard which also houses our chickens and occasionally sheep ! A charcoal barbeque is provided (guests to bring their own charcoal), outside bench table and chairs, hammock and firepit are also available for use. Guests can collect their own eggs for breakfast from the chicken house nearby, or a continental breakfast hamper with a half bottle of champagne included can be delivered to the steps of your hut if preferred. Utility Room: There is a washing machine in the farmhouse which guests are welcome to use. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and bedlinen are supplied for the double bed and there is a one off supplementary charge for bedding and towels for the bunk beds otherwise guests are welcome to bring their own bed linen. The property is cleaned before and after guests arrive.

Car: necessary


Birmingham Airport is approx 50 mins away and as we are a mile off the road, car hire is definitely recommended although we do have housing facilities for cycles etc.


The nearest villages of Lower Shuckburgh and Staverton are approx 2/3 miles away, Southam and Daventry are the nearest shopping towns and are approx 7 miles from Park Farm. Leamington Spa is 20 mins drive away, Warwick 30 mins and Stratford upon Avon 40 mins drive.

Further Details:

The nearest local shop and post office is approx 5 miles away in Napton on the Hill where there are also a couple of lovely pubs serving very good food. We are very lucky as there are many good pubs/restaurants in the area giving plenty of choice. Supermarkets and banks can be found in Southam and Daventry. Besides Golf Clubs, we also have a riding school and polo ground nearby and there is also a local Shooting School and fishing within easy distance from Park Farm. Staverton Park Golf Club also has a Spa and swimming pool and is approx 3/4 miles away.

Booking Notes:
Please telephone for booking and availability. We ask for a £25 non-refundable deposit in order to secure the booking and the balance of your stay is due two weeks before your arrival date. The total payment is deemed non-refundable in the event of cancellation up to two weeks prior to your visit, however we will do our best to reschedule your trip for another date if at all possible.

Changeover Day:
Changeover Day can be flexible however there is a minimum 2 night stay. Arrival is anytime after 3pm and checkout is 10.30am or by prior arrangement.

Notes on prices:
The Snug and Hut are booked as a pair and are available all year round at at cost of £100.00 per night based on either a couple or a family with a max of 2 children staying on a self catered basis. Discounts are available for longer term stays. This price includes bed linen and towels for the double bed and a welcome pack on your arrival. Please telephone if more details are required. First night suppers, breakfast baskets and barbeque packs must be requested prior to arrival.
