NB The standard changeover day at High Tides is a Friday. We do allow short breaks at all but the busiest times - just ask. Please be aware that for short breaks and non standard start days, the pro rata price displayed on this website will not be correct. Please just contact us for pricing.

High Tides has been beautifully renovated and furnished. It's a modern red brick house, that has been completely refurbished and re-modeled through out. The atmosphere created is spacious, light and luxuriously comfortable. There are 5 bedrooms , 2 king size rooms one en-suite, one twin room en-suite and two bunk bed rooms. The sea can be viewed from the back terrace and the beach is only a short 5 minute walk away.

About the Owner

Raintree House Holidays is a small beach house letting and management company focusing on a handful of beaches down the coast between Padstow and Porthcothan. All our houses are within walking distance to one of these beautiful beaches and a large number have spectacular sea views. We let our owner’s holiday homes out to guests many of whom we have known for years. Holidays with Raintree will always be memorable and enjoyable as we manage all aspects of the houses ourselves. We employ our own cleaning and maintenance teams, this means we are very flexible and can maintain very high standards across all our houses.

Beautiful house and location

We were a party of 6 adults and 3 young children (9 months to 3 years) and we stayed at High Tides for a week. The property is just as described, very clean and with high quality furnishings. It is just a short stroll to the beautiful beach of Trevone and the kids and adults all loved it. We would recommend it to anyone wanting an all round perfect holiday! Raintree were very helpful in arranging all our needs too.

We had a wonderful last night meal at the Ivy House a couple of miles away. Great food and atmosphere and the lady owner was lovely and attentive to all our needs. Would highly recommend. Also the local pub the Well Parc food is very good.

Nearest Beach : Trevone Bay at 200 Metres

Special interest holidays:

High Tides is perfectly located to provide accommodation for those who want to take part in surfing with some of the best surfing in the UK being available at 6 beaches within 5 minutes of the property. Walkers are also well catered for - with the Coast path only a few minutes walk from the house. And if you are interested in cooking, then courses can be organised in Padstow - not surprising with restaurants by Rick Stein, Jamie Oliver, Paul Ainsworth and Nathan Outlaw all being within 10 minutes of the house.

Coast/Beach:

High Tides is situated on The Close in Trevone a quiet No-Through lane. For those who know Trevone, The Close is a right hand turning off the beach road, just after the 'kink' in the road and just before the final run down to the beach. Close by are Trevone Bay and Newtrain beach with it's natural swimming pool. At the end of Bay Road is the surf shop and cafe and a little further back from the beach is the village shop for daily papers and bread. The Well Parc pub is also close by. The area also benefits from a number of other beautiful beaches - Treyarnon Bay, Constantine Bay, Mother Ivy's Bay, Harlyn Bay and Porthcothan Bay are all within 15 minutes drive.

Travel:

Newquay Airport is 10-15 minutes drive away, while trains can be caught to Bodmin Parkway, a 20 minutes drive.

Distances:

Padstow is 5 minutes drive away, while Newquay is about 25 minutes drive. Rock and Polzeath can be driven to in about 30 minutes - or you can take the ferry across from Padstow. St Ives with its fantastic art galleries and beaches is just 50 minutes away.

Changeover Day:
The standard changeover day is Friday - with arrival by 4pm in the evening and departure by 10am. At half-terms, Easter, and Christmas/New Year, we expect to be flexible on changeover day to fit in with school holidays, so please enquire.

Notes:

  • Notes on accommodation: 1 well behaved dog welcome Outside: There is a large decking area with BBQ and table and chairs for 10 which is a very attractive sheltered spot.There is also a lawned area surrounded by shrubs and flower beds large enough to kick around a football or for an impromptu game of cricket. The garden shed is available for guests and there is a large bin for soaking wet suits if you wish. Utility Room: There is a large 50:50 fridge/freezer in the utility room, as well as a washing machine, tumble dryer and a 'sheila maid' dryer. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: High quality cotton linen and towels are provided. A 'standard' clean is provided on your departure. For 2 week stays, the house is cleaned and linen and towels changed after the 1st week. Other: The conservatory has been very well furnished to make the best of the light and situation. The lighting is perfect for the evening - with side lamps and tripod standard lamps to create just the right atmosphere.
