About sandra White

Russell and I run an Eco company locally, we have lived in the area most of our lives and love this location.

sandra White purchased this cottage in 2013

Why sandra White chose Flintshire

Two years ago we saw Lilly Cottage as a derelict, unloved property, we fell in love with its character and saw the potential of this to become our weekend retreat!

As a family we have worked hard on this property to realise our dream. Although we still use Lilly Cottage we believe that others can enjoy it and the surrounding area.

What makes this cottage unique

This small but perfectly formed cottage has quaint exposed beams and inglenook fireplace with a log burning stove, which we have married together with modern technology. The old miners cottage now benefits from all the mod cons. Keep a look out for the free roaming sheep who like to take a wander down the road!

We had a lovely long weekend. The cottage was clean and tidy and my husband loved the jam, thank you. It had everything we needed. Great central location for exploring North Wales and Chester.

What a gem of a cottage

  • 5 of 5

This was a last minute booking and well worth it. The only thing that let us down was the weather but apart from that it was a perfect short stay and will pass on to friends and family. Underfloor heating as well kept the cottage nice and toasty.

I will more than likely book again but in warmer weather. Highly recommend a stay here, and thank-you for the bread and butter and the welcome pieces of cake.

Lovely cosy cottage ideal for the 3 of us. Very clean, well equipped and tastefully decorated. We loved the log burner and underfloor heating. Especially in February! Ideal location for visiting surrounding areas.

Sandra was very helpful and the welcome pack was much appreciated.

Nearby shops for handy for essentials.

Hope to return soon.
