Upper apartment with stunning sea views and own private gardens. Sleeping 6 in 3 bedrooms, this spacious apartment boasts incredible sea views from most of the rooms. Large living room with open fire. Dining room and large kitchen. Large enclosed gardens. Unlimited dogs welcome.

Little Byfield and Lower Byfield are the only apartments within a large detached house, each with their own private enclosed gardens and car parking. Located in the exclusive Yarmar Estate, Thurlestone, they are a 5 minute walk to the beach and less to the village centre with shop and dog friendly pub. Yet, situated on a private road, it is a quiet location with breathtaking views. Both apartments have 3 bedrooms (Little Byfield sleeps 6 and Lower Byfield sleeps 7); and generous living space (see detailed description for each). Each has a fully equipped kitchen if you wish to eat in and both have outside eating areas for sunny days. Large living rooms, unlimited wifi, DVDs to borrow. A real home from home. Little Byfield has unrestricted panoramic sea views over Thurlestone Rock and Bolt Tail with dual aspect windows in the living room. Lower Byfield also has a sea view, but it is more restricted.

Why Isabelle McKenzie chose South Hams

Our holiday home from when we were little. Our parents bought the apartment to give us a special place to holiday. All our holidays were spent here and we were even married here. Perfect place for children with wonderful beaches. Fantastic for walking with amazing walks along the coastal path which joins at the end of the road. Close to the village centre with a great pub and local shop - yet quiet with incredible sea views.

Cosy, comfy with stunning views

Booked for our short honeymoom break with our 3 mutts. We had a wonderful time and our only criticism is we didn't want to leave. Perfect get away from it all location and arrived to find a bottle of wine and doggy treats. So thoughtful. Planning going back next year for longer.

Amazing home from home with fab sea views!

We had a great holiday here, lovely to have the open fire to make it nice and cosy in the evening, the views are to die for, very doggie friendly treats bowls toys etc etc! The property is equipped with everything you need, great coastal walks just a stones throw away and u don't even need to go near a road! We will def come back!

Location Location!

What a fabulous place to stay " Little Byfield" with Amazing views from almost every room in the place. Little Byfield is located on a quiet private road, with beautiful beaches (5mins) and lots of beautiful coastal paths almost from the doorstep. We enjoyed the window seats with views across the bay. The living area is very light with big Windows throughout, big comfortable beds, a lovely Balcony from the lounge to sit and enjoy the sunshine or just watch the ever changing view of the bay, the heating keeps everywhere warm & cosy and everything you need is at hand in the kitchen, we cooked some days and enjoyed sitting on the well sheltered patio ( with full Sun even in October) at lunchtime.

The coastal walks are wonderful in both directions. The walk to Hope cove is lovely and if you go a little further along the coastal path to Bolt Tail (when you reach the top you are standing on the furthest point you can see from the house) and its a Breathtaking view.

On the way back you could stop at the Hope & Anchor for lunch (we can recommend their award wining fish & Chips) Walking to Bantham in the opposite direction gives you marvelous views of Burgh island and Bigbury on sea. Another place well worth a visit, walk to the island at low tide or take the sea tractor. The Venus cafe at Bigbury sell fabulous Pasties and snacks. You can sit and watch the surfers and boats from here.

We had two dogs with us and they were also well catered for with their own towels and doggie treats. There are doggie poo bags, spare leads a bowls too if you want to use them. They are even allowed to sleep on the super king size bed! when using the throws provided, I had never slept in such a big bed!!

From the moment we enquired about " Little Byfield " to the moment we left to return home, Isabelle the owner answered our messages promptly. Isabelle also gave us lots of detailed information before we got there, which was invaluable.

We were even able to park the car on the drive when we arrived early, and leave it there while having lunch at the village lnn before returning later.

We would definitely recommend Little byfield to our family & friends or anyone who enjoys quiet, relaxing holidays with their pets in gorgeous surroundings either walking the public footpaths through lovely countryside or going to the dog friendly beaches and "good" dog friendly places to eat all within walking distance "Little Byfield" will be very hard to beat!

Home from home

This is my second visit to this property. As before, the house is perfectly cleaned and has everything you may need.

Stunning private location, a short walk to the nearest beach, shop and pub.

Many exciting walks to be found. The locals are friendly and willingly to share their beautiful village.

Since I was last here, some work has been done on the garden and provides a secure pleasant area to sit outside with dogs.

Can t wait for my next trip back south
