Upper apartment with stunning sea views and own private gardens. Sleeping 6 in 3 bedrooms, this spacious apartment boasts incredible sea views from most of the rooms. Large living room with open fire. Dining room and large kitchen. Large enclosed gardens. Unlimited dogs welcome.

Little Byfield and Lower Byfield are the only apartments within a large detached house, each with their own private enclosed gardens and car parking. Located in the exclusive Yarmar Estate, Thurlestone, they are a 5 minute walk to the beach and less to the village centre with shop and dog friendly pub. Yet, situated on a private road, it is a quiet location with breathtaking views. Both apartments have 3 bedrooms (Little Byfield sleeps 6 and Lower Byfield sleeps 7); and generous living space (see detailed description for each). Each has a fully equipped kitchen if you wish to eat in and both have outside eating areas for sunny days. Large living rooms, unlimited wifi, DVDs to borrow. A real home from home. Little Byfield has unrestricted panoramic sea views over Thurlestone Rock and Bolt Tail with dual aspect windows in the living room. Lower Byfield also has a sea view, but it is more restricted.

Our holiday home from when we were little. Our parents bought the apartment to give us a special place to holiday. All our holidays were spent here and we were even married here. Perfect place for children with wonderful beaches. Fantastic for walking with amazing walks along the coastal path which joins at the end of the road. Close to the village centre with a great pub and local shop - yet quiet with incredible sea views.

Cosy, comfy with stunning views

Booked for our short honeymoom break with our 3 mutts. We had a wonderful time and our only criticism is we didn't want to leave. Perfect get away from it all location and arrived to find a bottle of wine and doggy treats. So thoughtful. Planning going back next year for longer.

Amazing home from home with fab sea views!

We had a great holiday here, lovely to have the open fire to make it nice and cosy in the evening, the views are to die for, very doggie friendly treats bowls toys etc etc! The property is equipped with everything you need, great coastal walks just a stones throw away and u don't even need to go near a road! We will def come back!

Nearest Barpub : Village Inn Thurlestone at 0.1 Kilometres Nearest Ferry : Plymouth at 30 Kilometres Nearest Golf : Thurlestone Golf Club at 0.1 Kilometres Nearest Train : Totnes at 23 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : Village Inn at 1 Kilometres Nearest Beach : 5 mins walk at 0.2 Kilometres Car: recommended

Coast/Beach:

Nearest beach, Yarmar, is a five minute walk through delightful pedestrian paths. Fantastic beach for children, it has rock pools to investigate and a stream to dam. Broadsands also 5 minute walk (has steep cliff path access). Bantham and South Milton Sands within 20-30 minute walk or short drive (10 mins with pay for parking) - both have coastguards in season. Bantham has surf school during summer holidays.

Golf: Thurlestone Golf Club (rated 64 in survey of top 100 golf clubs) is a 5 mins walk and accepts golfers with a handicap. It also offers lessons and has a pro shop. Other golf clubs in Dartmouth and Bigbury.

Tennis: Thurlestone Golf Club has hard and grass courts for hire and has regular tournaments. Courts can be hired by non members.

Spa: Thurlestone Hotel has a spa which can be used by non-residents. It includes a treatments suite. (5 mins walk)

Restaurants: village Inn (5 mins walk); Thurlestone Hotel has a range of restaurants from fine dining to casual (5mins walk); Beach hut at South Milton sands (20 mins walk/20 mins drive due to drinking inland to cross a river) casual dining specialising in sea food - need to book in peak season.

Distances:

4 miles to Kingsbridge, 5 miles to Salcombe, 15 miles to Dartmoor, 17 miles to Plymouth.

Further Details:

National Trust properties with easy reach: Overbecks, Coleton Fishacre, Saltram, Cotehele, Lanhydrock and long stretches of local sections of S W coastal path.

English Heritage castles including Dartmouth Castle.

National Marine Aquarium at Plymouth. Pennywell Family Farm for children.

Many other family attractions close by including otter sanctuary, steam railway, Woodlands Amusement park with all weather activities.

Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan both within a day's excursion. Surf school at Bigbury. Board hire at Thurlestone Sands. Fantastic sailing at Salcombe. Excellent coastal and estuary bird-watching. Many great local restaurants and interesting shops in Kinsgbridge, Salcombe and around. Thurlestone is in delivery area for very good takeaway restaurants in Kingsbridge. Most supermarkets will deliver.

All Thurlestone beaches DON'T have dog restrictions. To discuss your pets holiday requirements, please contact us. Outside: Private walled upper and lower gardens. The upper garden has a barbeque stand where you can use a disposable barbeque (f. Wooden table and chairs for 6 people. Lower garden is lawn and mature shrubs with a bench with sea view. Off road parking for two cars. Utility Room: Washing machine located in family bathroom Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bedding, linen and towels (bath, hand towels, bath mat & tea towels) are provided (excluding beach towels and travel cot bedding). Change of linen and clean can be provided on request for stays longer than one week. Other: Dining room with seating for 6 plus high chair and booster chair. Lovely views over the sea.
