"The Lodge" is a beautifully finished self contained holiday let in the middle of a working alpaca farm. The Lodge is fully equipped with a separate double bedroom with a king size bed. In the sitting room / kitchen, the facilities include a modern fitted kitchen, single sofa bed, flat screen TV with Freeview, Blu-ray / DVD and Wi-Fi. Tastefully decorated, fully insulated and centrally heated, The Lodge is perfect for peace and tranquillity whilst maintaining every creature comfort. We have also added a patio with table and bench seating to better appreciate the surroundings and alpacas!
The Lodge is situated in the middle of our working alpacas farm just outside the village of Fletching. The farm is in the High Weald AONB and surrounded by numerous attractions like The Bluebell Railway, Sheffield Park Gardens, Glyndebourne, The South of England Showground, Brighton and the South Downs.
Chris and Vicki have lived in the village for the last 18 years and have run the farm all that time. The alpacas arrived in 2000 and are an integral part of the farm as a business. We have approximately 100 alpacas and 4 llamas on the farm all of whom are halter trained and we also offer alpaca walking as an optional extra.

My partner and I enjoyed a fantastic stay over Christmas and New Year.
The lodge is really delightful; bright, well-equipped, modern and very comfortable. Huge shower, comfy bed.
Vicky and Chris couldn't have been better hosts, even lending me wellies and sending back a DVD I'd forgotten.
The Alpaca farm is a real novelty, it's great to see the animals. My daughter had a great time mucking out. Beautiful countryside too.

die Ferienwohnung ist sehr schön, man könnte den ganzen Tag die Tiere beobachten. es ist sehr sauber in der Wohnung, die Küchenausstattung ist hochwertig und umfangreich. der Flat-TV ist groß und erfüllte unsere Ansprüche. Der Internetempfang ist nicht besonders, aber das ist im Ländlichen nun mal so. Die geographische Lage der Ferienwohnung ist optimal um den gesamten südenglischen Raum schnell und einfach zu erreichen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind gut und schnell erreichbar. Die Vermieter sind sehr, sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten bei der Ankunft einen Reifenschaden und unsere Vermieter haben alles für uns organisiert und uns auch in den ersten Tagen bis zur Reparatur unseres Fahrzeugs sehr liebevoll betreut. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder nach Uckfield. Es ist wie ein Zuhause.

The nearest airport is Gatwick which is 30 minutes by car.
Dover is 1 hour 45 minutes by car
We would recommend use of a car to make the most of the local attractions.

Further Details:
We are surrounded by some of the best Pubs and Gastro-pubs in England. The Griffin in Fletching is renowned as is The Coach and Horses in Danehill. At the end of our road we have Trading Boundaries which in addition to an excellent restaurant/bistro, also offers intimate live music and eclectic furniture! In addition, we have excellent Indian, Chinese restaurants close by and a choice of Country House fine dining as well. There are supermarkets and banks in both Uckfield and Haywards Heath, and the main line trains from Haywards Heath serve the South Coast, Gatwick and London.

Booking Notes:
On an agreed booking, we ask for a deposit of 25% within 7 days of the booking being accepted if more than 4 weeks in advance. If less than 4 weeks in advance, we ask that the rental is paid in full (and the balance owing if booked prior to 4 weeks).
We ask for a security deposit of £100 which is repayable by us within 7 days of the end of the stay assuming no damage to The Lodge.
Changeover Day:
The preferred day for changeover is Saturday but we can be flexible. We try to be flexible on arrival/departure times as far as possible but 3pm/11am as a guide.
Notes on prices:
The prices are inclusive of VAT, electricity and heating oil - and also include bed linen and towels. The Lodge has inclusive Wi-Fi but we are on Satellite broadband which is great for general use but not movie streaming.
