Bishops Mews is a small modern courtyard development in the heart of Wells. The house is in the centre of Wells just a few minutes walk to main High Street, Cathedral, Bishops Palace and a variety of restaurants and shops. Wells is the smallest City in England and is steeped in history. Also a few minutes walk to countryside and many local walks and attractions. Cheddar, Glastonbury, Clarks Village Designer Outlet and open countryside with cycle routes nearby.

We recently bought this house with a view to our own occupancy in the future as we love Wells and all it has to offer. We would really like others to enjoy Wells and its surrounding areas before we move (ie retire there!)

We love this house as it is level walking distance to everything Wells has to offer. History, convenience of amenities, near open countryside, cinema. The house is in a quiet mews courtyard development.

Relaxing

Very central for lots of places. Lovely and very well equipped. Quiet, but within walking distance of shops and eating places. Reviews have said parking is difficult, but just think of it as parking between cars in car parks.

Perfect location!

The town house itself has a great living/kitchen area that is comfortable for four. The main bathroom shower was draining very slowly and this will need to be corrected. The shower head in this tub/shower combo is one of those on a flexible hose and is a challenge to use. The other bathroom/shower room is barely usable with extremely little head room but does at least provide a second toilet. We did not even try to shower there as the entire room will get wet and require a thorough squeegeeing after use. Others have mentioned the parking. It is tight but we had a Hyundai Tuscon and an excellent driver that backed it in with little problem. The town house was well stocked with toilet paper, dish washing detergent, paper towels, and pretty much everything a kitchen needs.

Clean, comfortable and ideally situated.

I would definitely recommend this clean, comfortable house to anyone wishing to explore Wells, Bath, Bristol and the surrounding areas. As others have mentioned the parking is tight but manageable with a small car. Everything we needed was provided and the location brilliant. Excellent restaurants just a short stroll away.
