The fantastic facilities on the estate including heated indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a hard tennis court, children’s walled garden, a games room, table tennis, fitness room and fishing lake, as well as plenty of woods and fields to explore. Sleeping 6 adults (+baby), the Lodge has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a spacious open plan living area with log burning stove as well as driveway parking for up to 3 cars and free WiFi. With Devon’s sandy coastal beaches only 6 miles away, and 10 miles to rugged Dartmoor, the Lodge is perfectly placed to enjoy everything the South Hams has to offer. Why Robert Chamberlain chose Modbury

We've stayed in the Lodge a couple times over the years and has some fantastic holidays - then it came on the market so we snapped it up !

It's so close to all our favourite places - Bigbury Beach, Salcombe, Dartmouth and Dartmoor.

What makes this cottage unique

For us, the most important thing is that the kids love it too - the heated outdoor and indoor pools, tennis court, loads of running around and exploring space. At to top it all the local pub and shop are only a 10 mins stroll away.

In the main the weather has been glorious although we did have a couple of days where umbrellas were needed.

Been to Bigbury on Sea and Burgh Island a couple of times ( our favourite beach) Slapton, Salcombe and Kingsbridge. Had a few evening meals at the California Inn.

Colmer Estate is stunning. It has been really quiet this week, only seen 3 or 4 families. We really enjoyed our morning and evening walks around the estate with Maisie ....even met the estate gardener! Had swims in both pools. The Lodge was a home from home, it had all we needed for a relaxing holiday
