This luxury self catered 3 bedroom, 2 bathrooms Penthouse Apartment comes with a sunny open plan living room, modern fully-equipped kitchen (including washing machine and microwave) and dining area (seating 6).

The living area opens up into a huge balcony which has amazing view of the Mediterranean Sea and the U-shaped courtyard, with colourful gardens. Stairs from the balcony lead to a stunning rooftop terrace with breathtaking views over the sea and the mountains and provides a picture-perfect setting for a peaceful, laid-back and relaxing stay here in North Cyprus, away from the hustle & bustle of urban life. The rooftop has a large Jacuzzi, great BBQ area and an open air shower, great for warm evenings.

The apartment is very spacious, family friendly, fully air conditioned and is simply but tastefully decorated. For your extra home comforts we have a 32-inch TV (with HDMI connector for Laptop), a 27-inch TV/DVD with X-Box and assorted games, Radio/IPod Player, Washing machine, Microwave, Toaster and Kettle. Hi... a little bit about us ... we are a family with 2 children and live in London. Life has it's usual habit of keeping us extremely busy so don't have as much time for holidays as we would like.

We purchased our apartment at Thalassa since we fell in love with the location... it is truly unspoilt.

We have tried to make our apartment as comfortable as possible and a kitchen fully equipped with all the essentials that you would need....for us it is a home from home !

We have always had a soft spot for Cyprus ...friendly people, good food at very reasonable prices, lots of history and stunning landscapes (you can be in a snow covered mountain one minute and basking on the beach a couple of hours later) !

Notes on accommodation: Thalassa Beach Resort has a number of facilities which are all free to use. These include: Large communal pool with shallow areas for young children and sun loungers Children’s play area Beach volleyball court Mini Golf Impressive Indoor gym, Spa & Sauna Pool bar (open in the summer months). The resort also has its own private sandy beach with a decked area and sun beds. There is also an on-site restaurant (called Beached), which acts as a mini market as well. They also have mountain bikes and Kayaks available to hire, ideal for exploring the surrounding land and sea. Full management facilities on site. Outside: The Penthouse rooftop terrace has stunning panoramic views over the sea and the mountains and comprises a large Jacuzzi/hot tub, great BBQ & Sink area, an open air shower (great for cooling down on hot days / warm evenings) and an enormous terrace. Utility Room: Mop and bucket, dust pan and brush, broom, iron, ironing board, clothes airier, washing machine. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bathroom and beach towels are provided; linen is cleaned and changed before each visit. Apartment is cleaned prior to guest arrival. Guests are required to clean the apartment on departure. Other: The open plan living area also has a solid mahogany Dinner table with 6 colour co-ordinated leather chairs.

Fantastic spacious apartment for a family holiday

We stayed here for a week for a family holiday. The apartment was fantastic and very spacious with every amenity you need. The bedrooms were large and airy and with great sea views. The rooftop terrace was wonderful and the balcony was perfect to sit out in the evenings to enjoy the sea breeze overlooking the landscaped gardens. The communal pool, slides and play area were perfect for the children to enjoy and sun loungers readily available any time of the day. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, we ate at the resort restaurant a few times and were never disappointed. The food was delicious and cooked fresh to order. Car hire is highly recommended as the resort is a little remote to truly explore the beautiful North Cyprus region. The owner was excellent and every query answered promptly both before and after our stay. I would highly recommend staying here for a memorable holiday.

Spacious comfortable apartment

A really lovely apartment comfortable and well equipped .Lovely views towards the sea from balcony and around the surrounding countryside from room terrace with hot tub! Fabulous swimming pool in lovely location and sandy beach very pretty .Nearby public beach sandy for swimming and if prepared to travel up the Karpas peninsula truly idyllic beaches to be found.Nearby is the crusader castle of Kantara castle with stunning views ( breathtaking even on this our 2nd visit). The ancient city of Salamis is very near as is Famagusta both also definately worth a visit if you can tear yourself away from the swimming pool and beaches! Highly recommend!!

Beautiful apartment, weather and resort

Was stunning weather the whole time we were there, the owner was super helpful and gave excellent navigation advice and tips for what to do while we were there. The apartment is gorgeous, really clean, spacious and a well equipped kitchen. We didn't get round to using the Jacuzzi but did go up and the view was stunning. Would definitely recommend. Thank you for a relaxing holiday :)

Beautiful, Well equipped, Family apartment

On arrival to the apartment we were not disappointed. The pictures didn't do it justice. The apartment is spacious, well equipped and you can see its is lovingly looked after. It has a large balcony and even bigger roof terrace with a Jacuzzi. The views from the roof terrace as the goes down over the mountains are incredible.

The resort has a large pool and there is never any trouble getting a sunbed, even with 4 children. The staff in the resort are so helpful and friendly and nothing is a bother. I would recommend this to anyone. I think the best compliment we can give is we are booking back up to come back next year.

North Cyprus is a beautiful place full of beautiful people who cant do enough for you. I was a little apprehensive to begin with because of the boarding crossing and it not being in the EU. Don't let this stop you it is straight forward and easy crossing. Its is a truly amazing and laid back country.

The only recommendation I would make is hire a car. The resort is isolated and there is nothing about that is walking distance. All in all I give 5 stars and we are already looking forward to going back.

Beautiful apartment in a beautiful resort

This is a very spacious, clean, well-equipped penthouse apartment in a quiet, well-maintained resort. We weren’t sure what to expect, but everything turned out as described to us. Three bedrooms with ACs, 2 bathrooms, washing machine, open concept with fully equipped kitchen (but no dishwasher), dining area, living area with AC, xbox game area. There’s also a balcony with a spiral staircase to a private Jacuzzi upstairs (which we didn’t use). The apartment was a perfect size for our family of 5. It is a short walk to a large common pool and a separate waterslide pool, which my kids enjoyed a lot. It is also a short walk to a private sandy beach within the resort. There were lots of loungers with umbrellas for use – we never had difficulty finding a good spot. There is only one restaurant at the resort, but the food was good and very reasonably priced.

The owner and the resort staff were very receptive to any issues we had (e.g. one of ACs was not working but got fixed promptly) and addressed them very quickly. The whole resort was very well-maintained, with plenty of staff working all the time.

Things we really liked: the beach, the apartment, the main pool, the waterslides, the restaurant.

Things we disliked: not many drawbacks, but the apartment has no dishwasher or dryer. These did not pose a major issue for us though. Also, the resort is a bit secluded, so it is highly recommended to rent a car in order to go to nearby restaurants and supermarkets.

Overall, we had a great time, and would certainly recommend this apartment to others and would even go back ourselves!

Fantastic

The apartment is very well equipped, there is everything there that you need.

It is spacious and the roof terrace has amazing views to the sea or the mountains. The sunset over the mountains is spectacular.

The resort itself has so many facilities. We enjoyed the massive swimming pool, kayaks and played mini golf and bowls. The games room is well equipped.

The spa was due to open after we left but was looking great.

The restaurant is good and they had just built wood burning ovens for homemade bread and pizzas.

We had a fantastic relaxing holiday.

The resort is isolated so a car is a must to explore the island.

We will be back.

Location

Special interest holidays:

Turtle conservation on the island, historical sites and castles in Salamis and surrounding areas.

Coast/Beach:

Direct access to private beach is a couple minutes walk from the apartment.

Travel:

Thalassa is easily accessible from 2 airports:

Ercan airport in Northern Cyprus is only 68km away (50 minutes)

Larnaca airport in Southern Cyprus is 94km away (1 hour 15 minutes) - there is a border crossing of sorts but formalities and very straight forward.

Car hire is recommend. Can arrange Taxi & Car hire if you wish.

Distances:

Bogaz is about 15 minutes away, you will find a selection of beach front restaurants & bars.

There is a large Supermarket (Lemar - like Tescos) just before Bogaz which has a huge selection of fresh fruit & vegetables, meat, chicken, fish, groceries and even frozen produce from Iceland!

Further Details:

Currency is Turkish Lira (TL). If you buy Turkish Lira in North Cyprus, you get a better exchange rate. The nearest bank is the Universal Bank on main road leaving Bogaz, on the right hand side of the road.

Prices of meals in restaurants are very cheap in north cyprus. i.e Mezza and main meal from 18TL to 35TL.

Petrol stations/Garages are not self service. Someone will serve you. Fuel prices hardly vary between the different garages.
