Stunning Grade II listed Georgian Townhouse with garden and private parking conveniently situation within the historical coastal town of Whitby. Whitby is ideally situated for exploring this beautiful part of Yorkshire with its superb coastline, inland, the spectacular North Yorkshire Moors. Whitby is a charming and atmospheric town of winding streets and hidden alleys, with a picturesque harbour, good selection of pubs, cafes and restaurants, independent shops. It's safe sandy beaches and it's association with Bram Stokes, Dracular, Captain Cook, and of course the Abbey, reached by the famous 199 step.

The property is access via the quiet street of Walker Street, and the back garden backs onto Pannett Park. The park houses Pannett Art Gallery and Museum, lovely gardens and a wonderful children's playground. It is a short walk to the old Town and beach, Cinder track and 3 miles to Sandsend.

We can not accept bookings that start or finish on Sundays, as the cleaners do not work.

About L Blomfield

We are a couple with two small children from Nottinghamshire. I'm originally from New Zealand while my partner is a born and breed Nottingham man.

We’ve been looking for a home away from home for some time. Somewhere that wasn’t to far to travel where we could decide last minute to pack the car and go. A beautiful coastline that is safe for our children to spend both summer and winter days (I love the beach in any weather) and Whitby also appealed as my partner enjoys fell running and cycling so having the Moors and surrounding track/walks at our doorstep is a bonus.

Whitby’s history also appeals to me with it’s connection to New Zealand (captain Cook) We still have lots to learn about the area but we look forward to exploring it more as our children grow.

Why L Blomfield chose Yorkshire Moors and Coast

We holidayed in Whitby during the summer and we fell in love with the area so started looking for a home away from home. Staying in a small property over the summer enabled us to focus on what we needed as a family to holiday comfortably. We walked by the house but it wasn’t until after we viewed a number of properties that we decided to looked at it seriously as it has everything we were looking for and it is such a lovely house in a great location. Plus if you have even been to Whitby you will appreciate the benefits of your own private parking.

What makes this house unique

Benefits for use of the property is having secure private car parking and having room to move and grow with two small people. It's not to big but a comfortable easy home to manage. It centrally located a stone throw away from the cafes, bars and restaurants on Skinner street, the Old town, train station, supermarket, harbour and beaches. We are looking forward barbecues in the garden, exploring the area and building family memories here. We hope you enjoy our house, beautiful surrounding Towns, Beaches and Moors as much as we are looking forward to.

  • Sleeps 7-8 (4 Bedrooms) There are four stylish bedrooms furnished with both traditional and modern furniture. Bedroom 1 has a Double bed, wardrobe, 2 chest of draw, bedside tables and chair. Bedroom 2 has a Kingsize bed, two chest of draws bedside tables, Bedroom 3 has a single trundle bed and chest of draw. Bedroom 4 has a further King bed, wardrobe, chest of draw and bedside tables. A high quality Z bed is located in this bedroom should parents want to share with a small child or adults who don't mind sharing a room. This room has a vaulted ceiling and exposed timber work. There is a shower room on this floor making it a great space for guests or a place for parents or grandparents to get away. A travel cot is available however no linen is provided.

Notes:
Outside: To the front of the property there is a stone flagged patio area, steps in to the garden with gravelled area flagged paths with flower, tree and shrub borders. To the rear of the property there is private parking for two/three cars. Opposite the property there are steps to an elevated garden. Utility Room: A large utility with washing machine and tumble dryer, a drying maid and airer. Iron and ironing board, hoover. Travel cot is also stored here. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bath towels, bathmats and hand towels, bedlinen and tea towels are changed weekly but can be changed for longer stays. The property is cleaned on change over day so departure is required by 10.00am. Additional cleaning can be arranged.

A fabulous house in a great location.

We visited for the second time to celebrate a family birthday. Once again we had a fabulous stay. The house is gorgeous., Great bedding and comfortable beds, lovely furnishings and fab space for 7 adults to have a chilled weekend. The ease of walking into town is great.

The added touch of the unit with toaster and kettle in the basement was really appreciated.

We parked 2 cars easily.

We will be booking again.

As you can see we took on board and implemented suggestions you made following your stay with us. We continue to improve the property and plan on installing a builtin wardrobe in the yellow room and a cabinet/cupboard for the television in the sitting room. Very impressive house located in an ideal area of Whitby

Throughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely property. 8 adults stayed comfortably.

The house is very clean and tidy.

Everything you need to stay was provided. Even down to little details of hand wash provided in each bathroom.

We have stayed in properties rated 'luxury' but they did not meet the standard of this house.

Would recommend to stay to anyone and will definitely be back.

We do try and provide guests with a comfortable stay in the house. We purchased the property due to it's location and as it's has off street parking which is vital especially during peak season. Brilliant location and lots of room within.

We stayed here with kids, grandkids and inlaws! The house had everything we wanted and we were lucky enough have the attic bedroom so were far enough away from those who wake very early, so as not to disturb our beauty sleep!

The kitchen was exceptionally well -equipped, with some real personal touches.

If we had one slight issue it was with the lower ground floor dining room. ..it was a bit of a faff carrying everything downstairs and back again.

The location is perfect. ...handy for everything in Whitby and easy for buggy/pram pushing.

Owner's Response: We're really please you enjoyed your stay in our house and you had everything you needed for your stay. We take on board your comments and all feedback is helpful. We have considered how best to utilites the space in the house and for now and given it's layout feel the downstairs is a good place to gather over a meal and entertain. A table with a toaster and kettle down stairs has been suggested and an idea we will take up plus we will install a small frigde as there is plenty of space for one. There is dining for four in the kitchen for more casual dining.

Wonderful Whitby

Lovely house, spacious, warm, extremely well equipped. We took our mums, son and daughter-in-law for a short break. The house is close to town, beautifully furnished and decorated and perfect for a family get together. We loved the attention to detail, including top quality bedding, towels and furnishings. The kitchen is very well kitted out and designed with double oven, plate warmer, dishwasher and integral recycle bins. The sitting room is comfortable and the basement dining room was ideal for dinner and a game of Scrabble! Definitely a place to revisit. Thank you.

Lovely house and great location

Lovely house and great location. The house was well equipped and we had everything we needed. The house was very clean and the facilities were as listed on the website. The house was furnished and decorated to a high standard. Parking is difficult if you have more than two cars but this was only an issue for us on Saturday /Sunday and we managed to find somewhere about 10mins walk away- it was very busy! We would definitely recommend this lovely property to friends and family and we would stay there again. Thank you!
