Villa in Correze, Limousin, France - Peaceful Location On The Edge Of The Countryside But Only 300 Meters From Village Amenities

The property is a large traditional granite house in the picturesque mediaeval village of Correze, which is on the Correze river in Southern Limousin.

The house was built on three floors and has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a modern kitchen, a lounge, dining room, a balcony with space for outdoor dining, attractive gardens and a barbeque. The ground floor has a pleasant reception area, utility rooms and a built-in garage.

Spacious, traditional house, a short walk down hill from the centre of a wee town as quaint and authentic as you could hope for, like living in the set of Chocolat! And the surrounding area and towns are fascinating even in dull, damp, cool, "very unseasonal" weather such as we experienced.

We loved the village of Correze with it's historic buildings. The house is on the edge of the village... convenient for country walks from the door, but also only 300 metres from village amenities.

Nearest Airport : Brive/Dordogne Valley at 60 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : Pecheur de Lune at 400 Metres Nearest Train : Gare de Correze at 6 Kilometres Nearest Motorway : A89 Trans-European at 8 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : Pecheur de Lune at 400 Kilometres Nearest Ski : Le Mont Dore at 100 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Etang de Ruffaud at 10 Kilometres Car: necessary


There are several local lakes with bathing beaches, changing rooms, pedalo and kayak hire. At the Etang de Ruffaud (10km), there are tree-top adventure rides, as well as an affordable bar/restaurant.


The house is around an 8 hour drive from the channel ports. Limoges airport is about an hour's drive away, and Brive/Dordogne Valley airport is about 50 minutes away. The house is 10 minutes away from the A89 auto-route.


There are a number of local country walks... several from the front door. The falls of Gimel-les-Cascades are a ten-minute drive away, and attractions like the Dordogne River, Rocamadour, Collonges-la-Rouge, Tours-de-Merle and Les Monédières are all within easy reach, as are towns like Tulle, Brive, Treignac and Beaulieu.

Further Details:

The house is situated on the edge of the village but is still only 300m from the village centre, with various shops, bars, restaurants and a small supermarket. There is a sports centre in the village including a swimming pool.

Outside: The house is surrounded by lawn, shrubs and flower beds Utility Room: Central heating boiler, washing machine, hanging space and a stone sink. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The house will have been cleaned immediately before your arrival. Please bring your own sheets, pillow cases and towels.
