About Jane summers

We have lived in the area for 25 years, my wife was brought up in the area.

Why Jane summers chose Blandford Saint Mary

We bought the property about 20 years ago and have spent years renovating the main house and the cottage. The rural aspect and closeness to town attracted us initially.

What makes this bungalow unique

We live next door, and are on hand to help if need be, but will give you privacy to enjoy your holiday.A car is not required for daily needs, but is recommended to explore further afield.

A perfect little cottage for two

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is lovely, beautifully clean and well furnished. It is in a great location to access the town of Blandford Forum but is in a quiet lane. The owners, Jane and Roger were very welcoming and provided a few additional items of food and a bottle of wine to enhance our stay, not to mention a few treats for our dog, Harvey. It is such a shame we have just discovered this cottage when our son, the reason we were visiting Blandford, is now moving to Somerset! This is a real gem of a place to stay and I would definitely recommend it to anyone wishing to stay in this area. Thank you Jane & Roger.

Beautiful cottage set in a lovely accessible area.

Wonderful Special Wedding Anniversary week-end. Cottage extremely comfortable and warm. Beautiful bedroom. We both appreciated the complimentary tray with a super tasting homemade April Cottage Marmalade. Hosts very helpful and extremely welcoming. We will indeed return in the summer months to enjoy more of the lovely April Cottage and garden and of course the Dorset coast. Poppy says thank you very much.

A lovely little cottage warm and cosy, close to the town but quiet as anything! Great welcome from the friendly owners, We really appreciated the welcome pack with fresh bread, butter home made marmalade and all the other essentials. The cottage was spotless and furnished with really comfortable sofas and chairs. I would and have recommended this cottage to friends and family, its in a great position and lovely to stay in. Oh and 2 mins from the pub!

Delightful little cottage

  • 5 of 5

Firstly a very warm welcome from Roger and Jane with a tour of the cottage and garden. All very clean and tidy with every need catered for. Lots of welcoming goodies on entry to the kitchen. The location of the cottage is well placed for local shops and river walks and also as a base for more adventurous site seeing.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

Accommodation fantastic, clean, comfortable and peaceful.

The road is lovely and everything you need is close including the Stour Inn which is very friendly and the food is good and reasonably priced. Highly recommended and would love to stay again or even live there.

Jane and Roger the owners are a lovely couple, helpful and the provisions provided were much appreciated.

Perhaps I shouldn't sing its praises too much because we might not be able to book again due to all dates being taken.
