A fully licensed, 2-bedroom penthouse apartment located in the unspoilt fishing village of Cabanas, close to Tavira in the Eastern Algarve. The apartment is within a secure complex, finished and furnished to a high standard. Close to a good selection of bars and restaurants, marina and the picturesque waterfront. Cabanas beach, which is rated as one of the best beaches in the Algarve, is a 2 minute water taxi ride, costing € 1.50 return. Cabanas is ideally located to explore the Algarve and is only a 20 minute drive to Spain. For those without a car, there are regular bus and train services which run along the length of the Algarve. The nearest golf course Benamor is located 1KM away.

Fantastic Place

Stayed here for a week and the apartment is lovely. Top quality all the way through & the roof top area is fantastic for sunbathing during the day and relaxing with a bottle later on. Travel cot and high chair were also supplied. Set in a quiet location its perfect for unwinding but also close enough to the beach/town to avoid need for rental cars or taxi's. Thoroughly enjoyed and shall return in the future. Thank you Martin & team.x

Mary Poppins meets the 39 steps.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Cabanas in your wonderful apartment. Our holiday memory will be watching the early morning swallows whilst drinking coffee on the upper terrace.

Cabanas was exactly as we had hoped it would be, big enough to have a good selection of restaurants, but small enough to keep its character and avoid the grotesque commercialisation that we witnessed in the Western Algarve.

The pools were spotless and we used them everyday, finding respite from the + 30.C temperatures that we encountered.

The apartment was very well equipped and very comfortable. We ate out on the lower terrace, we even had a BBQ one evening, although cooking over a hot BBQ in August probably will require further consideration in the future.

Whilst not essential, we hired a car to get to some of those harder to get to locations further east of Cabanas.

Thank you for letting us use your great apartment, great location.

The title refers to the chimney pots (Mary Poppins) and the 39 Steps ( because that's how many there are up to the apartment) but they're worth the effort.

Lovely Penhouse

We stayed in this lovely penthouse for a week at the end of September and had a wonderful time. The apartment had everything you would want and it was beautifully decorated. The outside space on both the terraces with all the furniture was wonderful and the location was just right, a quick walk to the sea front and all the bars and under 20 minutes to the train station.

Super Penthouse

We stayed in this lovely Penthouse apartment for the first 2 weeks in September. We were really impressed by the owners new decorating and the general ambience, all the furniture was lovely. The apartment is situated ideally for access to the nearby beach and also to the railway station at Conceicao. The bus stop is only 5 mins walk away. The owners have thought of everything you could need for a perfect holiday.

Fantastic Penthouse

This lovely penthouse is very well presented and is in a fantastic location no more than a ten minute walk to the boardwalk. Both inside and outside of the apartment is furnished in a stylish modern way. The Booking was easy and Laura and Martin were both most helpful. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone who is visiting Cabanas.

The Perfect Penthouse

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

The beautiful Cabanas beach which is only a 5 minute walk from the apartment is accessed by a regular inexpensive water taxi. The beach is simply stunning and never over crowded even in high season.

Travel:

The nearest airport is Faro airport which is a 35 minute drive from the apartment. A car is not necessary as there are bus and train services which serve all of the Algarve. Should you wish to rent a car there are car hire companies located at Faro airport.

Distances:

The stunning town of Tavira is only a 10 minute drive from Cabanas. Here you will find lots of examples of beautiful traditional Portuguese architecture including approximately 25 churches and the beautiful Roman bridge spanning the river Gilao. The Tavira Gran Plaza houses many modern stores and different eateries along with a cinema complex. Alternatively why not spend a few hours in Spain only a 20 min drive from Cabanas.

Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of a deposit of £150. The balance is payable 6 weeks prior to arrival at the apartment. There is a £150 breakages deposit to be paid with the balance. The breakages deposit shall be returned within 2 weeks of departure from the apartment, subject to no damage or breakages.


Changeover Day:
Guests are kindly asked to provide their flight details. We will try and be as flexible as possible, but the availability of the apartment cannot be guaranteed before 4pm. Please vacate the apartment by 10am on the day of departure.

  • Description of sleeping capacity: Sleeps 5 (2 Bedrooms) Notes on bedrooms: Both bedrooms have two single beds, have air con and are decorated to a high standard, with large fitted wardrobes. The master bedroom has patio doors which lead onto the lower floor terrace where morning coffee can be taken. The apartment is cleaned before and after your stay which is included in your rental fee. For bookings of more than one week, adequate changes of bed linen and towels will be provided for the length of your stay. If you would like to book a midstay clean/ bed change, this can be arranged with the property manager, but at an additional fee.

Notes:

  • Notes on accommodation: On arrival at the accommodation all customers will have a friendly 'meet and greet' this will enable guests to be shown around the apartment and ask any relevant questions regarding the accommodation. There is a security video entry phone. Air conditioning also works as a heater during the cooler months. Apartment is fitted throughout with electric window shutters. Outside: The apartment has two terraces. The lower terrace has a large tiled table with six chairs, suitable for Al fresco dining. There is a brick built BBQ great for those long hot summer nights. Additionally there is a further dining suite located outside the master bedroom. The upper terrace which has sea views, facilitates a table and chairs along with sun loungers and is illuminated at night by discreet solar powered lights. Located within the Quinta da gomeira complex are 4 communal pools which are accessed by a swipe card and are not for public use. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are included in the cost. Towels are not to be used as beach towels.
