A comfortable and welcoming ground-floor apartment in an original wine-producer’s town-house. The accommodation opens directly on to a sunny terrace, a plunge pool and a typical Mediterranean walled garden. It is the perfect spot for relaxing with a coffee or a glass of wine before or after some adventures in the town, on the beach or beyond.

The apartment sleeps four people in two bedrooms and is equipped with all you will need for your stay … whether for a weekend or for longer.

The house is located in a quiet part of the old-town centre and is an authentic ‘vigneronne’ … a property typical of the region with its long history of wine production.

We are a short walk to the old port (4–5 minutes) where you can while away some hours at your leisure having breakfast, lunch or dinner ... or just a coffee (or something stronger) ... on the terrace of one of a selection of diverse restaurants and bars. It is a true pleasure to sit and take your time to watch the yachts and canal-barges languishing in and out of the harbour and to simply enjoy the hum of contented people strolling past your table on a warm Mediterranean day or evening.

The historic towns of Pézenas, Sète and Agde are but a short drive and are fascinating for their art and antiques, markets and shops. (You should visit some vineyards along the way and test their wares …)

Activities are numerous. Take a relaxing stroll along the étang de Thau or a cycle along the ‘Voie Verte’ ... a dedicated cycle-path which runs along the beach all the way to Sète. Or indulge yourself in sporting fun such as golf, sailing and fishing and maybe try kite-surfing and wake-boarding.

The airport at Béziers is just 20 minutes by car/bus and we are further served by the airports at Montpellier, Carcassonne and Perpignan.

Great location

We had a great week in Marseillan. Lovely private garden and free parking. Handy for the town and port. Owners live above but friendly and discreet. The pool is quite bracing but good for a refreshing dip. NB the main bedroom has no door (just a screen) and second bedroom door has to be kept open for ventilation. Marseillan is charming - don't miss the English guided tour on Wednesday mornings.

Perfect place for a holiday

This was our second visit to this property and we were not disappointed! Since our last visit Eric and Valerie have installed a beautiful pool next to the apartment which was very welcome on hot days and a lovely place to sit with a glass of wine in the evening.

The property is located near the centre of town but is totally private whilst being close to bars and restaurants. It is a short drive from the supermarket and the beach at Marseillan Plage.

Our hosts were very helpful and attentive and the apartment is very clean and well equipped.

We have already recommended this property to a number of our friends and intend to return there ourselves very soon.

There are a number of excellent bakeries nearby and our favourite restaurants are Dai Long (Vietnamese), Pizza Bella and the Chateau Du Port. Belem bar is also a great place to sit and watch the world go by!

Modern, spacious, cool and comfortable. At the centre of the village close to amenities yet private

Valerie and Eric were very welcoming and the property was very comfortable and cool. We liked being in the centre of the village so we could pop out for bread and anything we needed. We could stroll to the many restaurants and bars yet the property itself was very secluded and quiet. The pool was lovely and refreshing and the garden had shade and glorious sunshine. Marseillan is a lovely village with lots to see and explore but not too busy. Beautiful beaches are 15 minutes drive away avoid Marseillan Plage unless you like it busy with lots of other holiday makers. We'd like to go back and would very happily stay here again.

A great 1 Week family Holiday in Marseillan

The property was within close walking distance of the harbour, with a handy bakery just across the adjacent parking area. Marseillan itself has a more traditional feel than the nearby Marseillan Plage, which is MUCH more touristy (although fun to visit the fun fair and the beach). There are some lovely local restaurants and a good market too.

The pool at the apartment (only just built prior to our stay) was wonderfully maintained and a definite benefit in the hot weather. It is only small, but it does have a water jet which you can switch on and swim against if you want to exercise. With the patio area outside the doors to the apartment and the shaded area near the pool it was a great area for us to relax in.

The owners live upstairs (with a separate entrance) but keep themselves to themselves whilst being very friendly and helpful when we did have any questions. The apartment is pleasant and cool, and whilst it's simply furnished and kitted out, it was more than adequate for a family of four and we very much enjoyed our stay. We would recommend this for a family of four (as long as your children are happy to share a fairly small room) and we would definitely consider returning there ourselves some time.

Great location

This property occupies the ground floor of an old town house set in a walled garden. The apartment was clean, chic and well equipped and the owners Valerie and Eric are the perfect hosts and are always on hand for local information whilst maintaining guests privacy. The property was ideal for us as a couple and would certainly recommend it to friends and family as its location is well suited to all tastes. The port area and all its bars and cafes,the town and it's authentic taste of French life, the caves for local wines and of course the miles of sandy Mediterranean beaches. Merci Valerie et Eric pour notre sejour avec vous, nous esperons retourner l'anne prochain!

Beautiful Apartment

We were very pleased with our discovery of both Marseillan Ville and this apartment. Modern, spacious and beautifully designed and decorated. Great central location in this charming fishing village. From the Owner

We have lived in Marseillan for 20 years. We moved here for the climate, the culture and the conviviality of the people. We previously had another lovely house nearer to the port, but we decided to move into the centre of the town when the opportunity arose to purchase this super 'vigneronne'. Although plump in the heart of Marseillan, the house is a relaxed haven from the daily bustle of life in a small Mediterranean town and the walled garden is private and peaceful. We are happy to be here.

Changeover day is Saturday during July and August. For departures you have to leave the apartment at the latest 11:00 am, and the arrival between 15:00 pm and 16:00 pm Special arrangements can be discussed outside of these dates. There is a 25% deposit payable in advance for the period booked.

Notes on prices:
Following the receipt of your deposit, the remaining balance will become due 8 weeks before your arrival. A security deposit of 150 € will be required against any damages and refunded upon departure when a final inspection has been made.
